We've gone every 6 months for regular checkups, and she is hands down the sweetest, most patient, and most fun dentist we could ever hope for. Honestly, I wish she had an adult practice--I'd be first in line to be her patient! Thanks to her care, my kids have had very few dental issues, but if anything ever came up, there's no one I'd trust more than Dr. Jenna. Her newly expanded office is beautiful--spacious, spotless, and so welcoming. The staff is equally incredible. At our last visit, I told her the whole practice runs like a well-oiled machine, and it's true. From start to finish, everyone is friendly, professional, and attentive. But Dr. Branson and her team were amazing with my kids. Really, can't say enough for how great they were ... so I'll continue writing about it. ;-P First, we were able to get back-to-back appointments -- so appreciated. And the fun fish tank and play table in the small lobby had my kids laughing and smiling, which is always a good start. Dr. Branson came out to say hi to my kids when we were about to be taken back for our appointments. And the visit started with my son, who as the proud older brother, took showing his sissy how to act and what to expect very seriously. My daughter was enthralled through the start of his cleaning. And then the techs were able to start her cleaning in a chair next to my son's, which made watching over both easy and the appointment go a bit quicker. And these techs! Absolute kiddo experts! They kept both of my kids interested and following directions throughout the cleaning, talking to them about how they can best brush their teeth and areas in their mouths they need to focus on more. Brushing teeth has been a bit of a battle in my house, so to see both kids opening their mouths wide and having fun while getting their teeth cleaned was huge. This extended to when Dr. Branson looked over their teeth too. Somehow she even got my daughter to not want sticky candy ... around Halloween ... WHAAA! It also helped that they allowed both kids to pick out new toothbrushes and take a few toys from the toy drawer. A quick tip to parents though: You might want to have your kids wait until the end of the visit to get their prizes, rather than between the cleaning and exam, lest you have kids who are itching to get back into that magic drawer. Our pediatrician recommended Dr. Branson, and I'm so glad he did. All in all, this was such an pleasant and, dare I say, fun experience for my family.

We've been a patient of Dr. Yang's (and her office) for over 10 years now - starting with our oldest child which just so happens to have special needs. From the very first appointment with her, to our most recent first time appointment with our youngest who turned 2 back in the Spring, we have never experienced anything like what was mentioned in the other review, more specifically it's been quite the opposite. Dr. Yang (who is amazing) and her staff that we have consistently seen since we've been going there have always been patient, calm and at any point whenever any of our children have had issues of possible tears from a first time appointment or having a loose tooth come out, they go above and beyond to turn the situation around and make sure the child is comfortable and not afraid. They often do funny or silly things like let the kids use the water tool to squirt water or say funny rhymes to keep the kids laughing and comfortable and to lighten the whole experience of going to a dentist which can be a bit scary, especially for first time patients who are often as young as 2. Maybe the hygienist mentioned was just temporary or it was an off day but I can attest our 4 kids going there and us never experiencing that in all the years we've be a patient of Dr. Yang's. I realize everyone can have a different experience or different circumstance, so that is why I felt it was important to share ours.

The office was clean and the train table in the waiting room was a big hit with my son. I wasn't sure what to expect from a first dentist appointment, but I think I was anticipating a very laid back first appointment. It was not. While the hygienist was very thorough, she moved through the introduction of tools VERY quickly and then asked me to hold him down so she could delve right in within about 90 seconds. My son is not the type to be scared or cry at the doctor. He's had stitches in his face without a tear. But the speed of the exam was jarring to him and pretty soon he was crying. Rather than stopping the hygienist continued to speed through it and kept saying, "I like it when you cry, that helps me clean all the teeth in the very back too!" I found that an insensitive thing to say, but we gave them another shot since I did like Dr. Yang. After the second appointment when my son was older and more experienced I didn't anticipate any tears. When the same hygienist sped through the appointment and said, again, when he started crying, "I like it when you cry!" I realized this was not going to be a good fit. I appreciate that they are doing a thorough exam, but the experience felt more intense than it needed to be and I worry it's the kind of early dental experience that could cause a future fear of the dentist if we continued there. Today I took him to my dentist and they took their time with him AND completed a thorough exam and he didn't shed a tear and sat in the chair himself without being held down. I understand they have certain procedures and maybe speeding through checkups and holding kids down works for some kids, but not all children will react well to this. For my son it was just too much.

I was able to easily get an appointment when I called. And then I was called back without much wait on the day of my visit. Dr. Moldoveanu was quick and efficient when cleaning my teeth and gave me great recommendations on some new mouthwash to try. I also enjoyed talking to him about his kids and my own during the visit. I was in and out in less than an hour with a clean smile, new toothbrush and appointment for my next cleaning.
