I was lucky to get a car at 133,000. immediately I had to get an oil change and filter change, 2 new tires and new spark plugs. am I mad at it? no. This place is horrible. I went to go look for a car and there were employees outside arguing very loud! I had my children with me and was very uncomfortable. Meanwhile it took 30 minutes for someone to allow me to test drive a car. 1 car actually stopped on me while I was parking it and the employee had to jump it. The car I wanted have the oil light on and I asked for an oil change before I left. They swore up and down they did it and it was not done. They also say the oil light was not on even though I told them it was. These cars are a piece of junk and they should be out of business. They are not professional, the lady in the office with the eyebrows is rude with 0 customer service skills. This is the absolute worst car dealership in Toledo!!! They sell junk cars with 200,000 or more miles on them. Do not offer a warranty on the car but swear they offered you a warranty. Bought a car from them and the next day it started messing up. Then guess what now it needs 3-4,000 dollars worth of work done to the engine do you think they are going to help get it fixed or even give me my money back on a car that hasn't even been in my possession for 2 weeks nope they said no refunds and my only option is to surrender the car and be out all of the money that was spent to get this pos car!!! I purchased a 2009 GMC DENALI from First Choice Auto on July 22nd 2023. On August 29th 2023 I was driving and the truck started making a loud noise and I turned it off and waited. When I started it back up and the noise still was there and all of the sudden the truck engine stopped. I called First Choice and I was told that I would have to get it towed to them on my dime so they can have their mechanic to look at it. I had it towed to them and when I was contacted I was told that they wanted me to pay $4000 for the engine and they would do the labor for free and I would still have to finish paying $9000 for the cost of the truck. That's not fair to me. The lady who I talked to told me that she had told me that I could've taken out an extended warranty that she offered me when I bought it but she NEVER offered me a extended warranty. When I was buying it she just shoved paperwork through the opening and said... sign your name where I have marked the papers. True enough I take some of the blame for not reading what I was signing. I would NEVER send someone over there to buy a box of plastic bags from First Choice let alone a vehicle from them. You would think that they would've worked with me and put me in something else to continue to do business with me like I asked them to but the answer that I got was free labor after I pay $4000 for another engine. It's really sad and a shame how we have businesses here and Toledo like First Choice Auto who takes people's money and bilk them and take the attitude that they took with me instead of doing good business with their customers. Bought a Dodge Magnum off of them that broke down four months after leaving the lot due to problems it had before they sold it to me. Had bad brakes, suspension, subframes, bolts, control arms, and a bad starter. Also had a bad ground wire somewhere. Sent it back to them before they could mark it for repo after only being able to do the brakes and starter. DO NOT EVER GO TO First Choice Auto Finance. SCAM SCAM SCAM. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Purchased a vehicle back in July with a warranty that I purchased a week later. Went out of state 2 weeks later and while there the ENTIRE brake line rusted out underneath the car and we had absolutely no brakes. Thank goodness we weren't driving with all 3 kids is on the highway when it happened. Paid to have it fixed ourselves because they wanted us to come in physically and sign the paperwork, which we couldn't 500 miles away. Got back and signed the warranty at which point they told us we were over our mileage to be covered. We were only told it was a 90 day warranty, no mileage limit. So we bought another one. 2 weeks later the entire TRANSMISSION went out. Had it towed to a shop and had them call the warranty company who had NO RECORD of our warranty. Called the dealership and they apparently had FORGOTTEN to send in our warranty. So then when the auto shop called again, we were told it wouldn't be covered because it was a preexisting condition. The dealership told me nothing is covered under warranty until you've had it for 30 days. So a 90 day warranty only covers the last 60 days apparently. So now I have to pay 3500$ to replace the transmission when I've owned the car LESS THAN 3 MONTHS and still owe them 5000$!!! The owner refuses to talk to me and the receptionist has not only hung up on me, but also told me that there's nothing they will do except allow me to forfeit the vehicle if I pay to have it towed back to them, 45 miles away, and give up everything I've already paid, over $500 in warranties and $3000 in payments. They also tried to lie and say it wouldn't go on my credit which it will. When I told them I was going to make sure everyone knew and contact my attorney they told me to "do what I have to". Unbelievable that these scammers can stay open and continue to do this to customers! They even called me today to ask me for my monthly payment like they forgot they were already screwing me over! The very thought that I spent over 3000.00 on this vehicle sickens me. I brought the vehicle home and not two days later the water pump went bad, car overheated. So I had to pay to get that fixed. Then the security system.malfinctioned and car wouldn't start for almost a week, I had to pay for a tow to get it to the mechanic shop. Then, when I got everything fixed, I had to shop for Insurance. Insurance in michigan is very expensive. They gave me some time, but the insurance I found was cancelled because my payment didnt go through. So we had to find cheaper insurance. I wish I had done some research on this company before I went to their lot. I will never go back, and I hope more people read the reviews before they decide on this company. They sold me a car with several accidents associated with the VIN number (per my insurance agent). The check engine light came on the next morning after purchase.. to which my mechanic says is from a bad catalytic converter, also, after the diagnostic was completed, I was made aware of a front motor mount that needs to be replaced. When I called I was essentially told "too bad, you bought it as is". Well, great. When I cancelled my overly priced insurance, to shop around for a better rate, I was informed that I needed full coverage or the car would be put up for repossession... I wasn't even aware of this "rule" they have, and she literally told me I had until the next day to get it covered. After speaking with the staff there I have found that they are rude, unnecessarily, and have literally zero compassion for someone driving around a piece of crap, they sold. read more
