Very unprofessional and condescending, patronizing, hostile attitude from this dentist. I was a new…read morepatient and this guy walked in after I was waiting for several long minutes with no other patients in the office before any work with the hygienist could begin, as though he needed to approve me personally and had the nerve to grill me like a race horse out of the gate with giddy anticipation about my healthy medical history by stating, "So you're as healthy as a horse huh? - but you smoke??" Then he went on to focus on my smoking by asking how much I smoke and if I tired to quit before to which I replied I had, to which he asked and so what happened and what I had tried, to which I brushed off and eventually replied that I'm obviously still smoking! It's the way you talk to people and this guys proposed message was lost with his ridiculous inflated brow beating style!! I have never experienced such a rude dentist in all my years. My blood pressure is always perfect but this guy took it to a new level. He needs to learn how to talk appropriately to people! I told him I didn't need to be lectured before deciding to ultimately get out of the chair and he went on to tell me it wasn't lecturing (convince yourself dude) and went on a further tirade about the dangers of smoking and oral cancer etc. etc. He started out the appt. in a sarcastic manner and apparently didn't like the lukewarm handshake I gave him and the fact I didn't consider his blabber god speak and asked if I usually go this long between appts. in a sarcastic tone! Newsflash I haven't had any health problems and I'm middle aged and I smoke - sorry if that upsets you!!?? This guy doesn't seem to be book smart or have common sense either. Strike 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6....you're OUT!!!! I was so stunned when I got up from the chair I still had the bib thing on at which point he said with heavy sarcasm that he didn't want me to be charged for that and pulled it off me and then told me "good luck"!! BTW this is the first dental office where I have ever gotten right in and with an afternoon appt. to boot, and the office was completely empty. Good luck to you Mr. rude tude of a dentist indeed, as it seems I was your only potential patient of the day!! If there is chair side manner for dentists like there is bedside manner for a doctor this guy is an epic fail!!! What makes this otherwise negative experience hilariously fulfilling for me, is that the same night as my appt. on the local news, there was a story about how people are not going to the dentist regularly especially in the 24 to 30 something range. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out, as the dental profession are some of the most anal people on the planet, but they may just want to reconsider their chair side manner when their lack of business is featured on the news! After all, on their own paperwork it always asks about prior negative experiences and if you're afraid of dentists. A little compassion goes a long way folks!

Amazing care and communication! I went here for about 4 years, until I recently moved states and…read morewow do I miss this. The dental hygienists were very thorough and friendly, and Dr. Angie was great. She takes the time in exams and explains what she's looking at and what I should watch, addressing any concerns I bring up. The office seems very clean and up to date. Honestly miss this office with the new dentist I've tried.

When I arrived was warmly greeted and filled out a couple of questions on a laptop by the front desk. I only had to wait a couple minutes before I was taken to the back to see Dr. Angie. She was kind, gentle, and explained everything she was checking for and addressed any questions I had. She definitely took it any stress I had about coming in. Afterwards I saw my hygienist and left with a nice little welcome gift. What I really liked was how kind everyone was and how they explained everything to you. Plus each hygienist has their own little "cubby" with a window and bird feeder. *it's the little things*. They also provide you with plastic safety glasses and my hygienist even had tinted ones! It really shows they care about the patient here. If you're looking for a dentist I'd highly recommend this place :)

So I recently changed dental insurers and needed to source a new dentist. While perusing my options…read moreonline, I found a familiar name, Killian, here. The building looked cool, their location is close by, and their website was impressive and extremely user friendly. I managed to do the entire intake and registration process online, and that was perfect. I arrived for my appointment and found a bank of receptionists in the spacious, cathedral-ceilinged, atrium style lobby, which meant very little waiting. From what I could see, they were all very quietly friendly and efficient. I didn't wait long to be called back for my appointment, either. Michelle, who had a well-deserved award on the wall for her 13 years of excellence as a dental hygienist, cleaned my teeth. She was very down to earth and did not fill the airspace with pointless chatter, just did an amazing and very thorough job. She didn't bat an eye when I asked if the music could be turned down or changed (it was Z104 type radio, not relaxing for me at all). She just grabbed a small stool, reached up and turned the sound off on the ceiling speaker. Ahhhhh. So much better. :-) When x-ray time came, I nervously told her about my issues with that, because those things never fit in my mouth correctly. Turns out, they have this new digital thingie (sorry for the technical jargon), and it's small, no pain, and there's no film or waiting, and pow, there's your teeth instantly onscreen. Sweet! The dentist came in, and he was great too. I asked him if he was related to the other Killian dentists in town, and it turned out that he is brother to one and uncle to the other. Now that makes three Killians who have worked on my teeth over the years, and I have been extremely satisfied with all of them. Personality, humor, kindness and skill, all top notch. The billing and follow up appointment setting was painless as well, and I'm actually looking forward to coming back and getting a couple of minor things fixed. Just a great experience all around. Thanks, everyone!
