We made an appointment for July 20 for the painting of one room. July 20 came and went and "FromTop2Bottom" never showed. I called them to get an explanation and never received a response. I emailed the company and two days later received a call and a message saying they were sorry and "busy." I finally heard back from "Eric" today and his explanation was this: "I only schedule these Groupons for rainy days, that's my availability." (note: it was raining on July 20, the day I had my appointment). He claimed that for the Groupons, he only scheduled them "on rainy days" (so, with 24 hours notice?) and that he "regretted ever signing up for this Groupon" and gave me excuse after excuse for BLOWING OFF AN APPOINTMENT that he made and confirmed. By the way, this "rainy day policy" was not ANYWHERE in the Groupon and I would NOT have purchased it had I been appraised of this ridiculous scheduling policy. Not only that, but I originally told Eric that I had 2-3 other rooms that needed professional painting and asked if he could give me a quote. AND HE STILL BLEW OFF AN APPOINTMENT. This guy has no shame and he runs a business like a 10 year old. At this point, I asked him to check his schedule and call me back with a time that WILL WORK. I doubt I'll hear back from him. Bottom line: From Top 2 Bottom cannot be trusted to keep appointments and you're better off hiring ANY OTHER COMPANY for your painting needs.

Eric was referred by the plumber; I was living on the other side of the country at the time and Eric was absolutely terrific. He scheduled the work with my tenants, performed the work while they were living there - which meant that he had to work around them and keep dust and mess to a minimum. I spoke to him only a couple of times; he also took care of a few other odd jobs such as hanging up blinds. The work was done quickly and extremely well. You would not know that the leak had ever happened. He redid the drywall and plaster in a difficult corner, patched, painted, and it looks as good as new. Price was reasonable and fair, and it was greatly appreciated that he was efficient and showed up when he said he would.

I had a plumber look at it and they said it has to do with the shower tiling. Now I have to find another contractor to fix the shower floor and wall tiling. Find another contractor unless you want to waste your money and your time. If I could give zero stars, I would.

The interaction was extremely profession during the process and he was able to start in a short period of time. Once he started, the work was uninterrupted and when issues were found that needed more work, he had a conversation with me first and gave me options. Then the cost of the additional repairs that were absolutely necessary, were extremely reasonable. The work was done in a timely manner and the deck looks GREAT. I called a few concrete companies to replace the concrete and Eddie from Jen-El Construction was the first person to arrive. We decided to use Jenel because they had replaced the sidewalks throughout our neighborhood and they did excellent work then. we had a good feeling from Eddie. He said we wouldn't have to wait too long. He also gave us what seemed like a great price. (We had other estimates lined up for the next week and we kept those appointments anyway, just in case.) We also needed two sidewalk slabs & had 2 basement window wells that came out way too far and made it hard to walk between the side of the house and a neighbor's fence. Eddie suggested narrowing them and filling them with drainage stones. He was the first to give us an estimate and the best price. Right from the get-go, we could tell we were going to go with Jen-El. We got the other estimates anyway, just in case, but there really was no need. Eddie is great--he's a man of his word and communicated with us so we always knew when the crew was coming and what to expect. He and all his crew worked like a well-oiled machine! Our job was done perfectly in 2 days. (Also, while all the other contractors we had called said there would be a 4 to 8 week delay due to covid , Jen-El got the job done within 11 days of our first contact with Eddie. We're perfectly happy with their work and it was a pleasure to do business with them. Eddie and the whole crew are nice, hard working, wonderful people!
