I tried this place out last night with my bestie and it was soooo good! It was giving the Melting Pot vibes when I first heard about it but once I actually tried it out, omg, it's so much better. The food was fresh and the broth was very flavorful. It's technically all you can eat. Each person gets one type of broth in their hot pot but you can order just about any veggie or protein on the menu except for a few seafood items like the king crab which is extra. The shaved lamb and crispy pork were our faves. I had the pork bone broth and my friend got the medium spicy butter broth. Both were good. I also got ramen noodles and a bunch of sauce from their buffet of sauce, kimchi, cilantro and green onions in the front. The bbq shrimp, sausage, and chicken were all delicious but those are sent out already cooked. No problem. Yes, they also serve booze! Visited after graduation. The ambiance was beautiful slightly overdone but still beautiful. The price is very overpriced and having to wait for the extras to come was off-putting a bit. Serving the same thing for lunch at $24.99 is a more reasonable price. Great date night place and family experience was super fun! The lamb and beef look fatty but eat it all!!!! The soup base pushes flavor into each piece. Don't really care for BBQ but it was so tender and full of flavor. Be sure not to issue out on this. Will go back but for lunch. read more

Please don't eat here. We feel like we were tricked. Broth tasted like incense oils and meat was of terrible quality. Was a waste of 70 dollars and will not be going back. I returned from a business trip from a 6 hr flight were the only food was a snack, so my appetite was at its peak, and nothing better that an all you can eat hot pot. We arrived at opening and was seated quickly and being that it was on a Saturday the price is the dinner price. We ordered our drinks and broths for the hot pot along with our favorite additions, the beef is always great, added with the mushrooms, and cabbage. I got the spicy butter broth and my wife the pork bone base, both are delicious. The house beef is a must have, as the barbecue beef was a little underwhelming, however the bbq squid made up for that. The corn was great also along with the mussels, oysters and clams. Don't forget to go to the back table to make your own dipping sauces, and desserts, which consist of ice cream, small tiramisu cake, and fruit. This is a just okay Hot Pot restaurant. No complaints on the food here, what they serve is pretty good. However, for a Hot Pot and BBQ restaurant I was expecting a fully Korean menu. I will add, that it was nice that it was an all you can eat restaurant but you are limited to 90 minutes and they will charge you for anything left over to eliminate waste. In my opinion there was too much Chinese influence here, and for a Korean style restaurant I was dissuaded that their menu was in Chinese instead of Korean making me feel like it was less "authentic". At the time I was in, there was K-pop music playing in the restaurant which was cool, but they had something in Chinese on the TVs around the restaurant. It was weird that the sides were buffet style but located at the front of the restaurant by the door, which they had a variety of Korean and Chinese options. Our server was quite slow and inattentive, as well the food took awhile to come out. When you order the BBQ it comes out as almost sampling portions rather than anything filling which was frustrating because if I wanted to order more, I would have to wait again. At one point I told them to just bring two orders out as I was pretty hungry, but only one came out. I got a sense that their slowness and inattentiveness may have been an effort to reduce the amount of food served to their customers and increase their profits. read more

The decor and ambiance is great. The servers the tvs on the wall showing how to eat hot pot and the hanging lanterns put you in a happy mood. The music is even uplifting. All of the smells from the various soups cooking can get intoxicating. I tried the Cajun broth it tasted just like the water we boil crawfish in. But it's not red mostly water and crawfish boil liquid. They have many varieties of things to add from meats, vegetables, fish balls galore and some seafood options. I really enjoyed the flavor of mine once I put the onions, mushrooms, bok choy and more. They have instructions at the tables to let you know how long to cook certain items. You go to a sauce bar to make the sauce that you dip your meats in. So depending on what you make it will help or hurt the taste. They have only 6 items for the Korean BBQ I really enjoyed all of them the chicken, beef, shrimp, mini sausages, and broccoli are on skewers and are delicious. The squid is sliced and awesome as well. Only complaint is that the tables are small. So my suggestion is to order the flavoring items like onions, cabbage, mushrooms, lettuce, and such to start off so you can get rid of those plates to bring in the good stuff. My daughter and I checked out Hot Pot recently... The service was great! The atmosphere was very authentic. It reminded me of the Japanese restaurants in Yokohama. The food was amazing. A number of broths to select from. My reason for four stars is that the menu is only all you can eat. I would have like the option to order just a single order versus all you can eat. All I could eat was a one serving. But overall, great restaurant. read more

Last night was my first 'hot pot' experience. Walking in, it smelled delicious and inviting! The restaurant was clean. Friendly, helpful staff. The only reason I give it 4 stars is there's a lot to know and our server was great, but didn't say the sauce bar is literally where you get your flavor. Period. I did make my own sauce of blended sesame, soy and garlic- and honestly I loved it with everything! It's a little messy but overall, delicious and fun. The food on the other hand, was lacking in flavor, as mentioned in previous reviews, the seafood is absurdly fishy aside from the shrimp. To say this was a disappointment was an understatement. The seafood was low quality. It tasted very fishy. The oysters were freezer-burnt, I think. It was just inedible. The fish balls tasted like... balls. The crabs were good, but they don't have knives. How can you pick a crab without a knife or pick to open up the shells. They gave us nutcrackers and nothing to pry open the shells. The bacon was entirely fat and did not improve with the cooking process that is availible here. The shrimp were very good though. The vegitables and noodles were great. The BBQ shrimp and beef were skewers dunked in some sugary sauce. Mediocre at best. The service was inattentive. I kept flagging down other servers to get another drink or my bill. They don't even have spoons. You are expected to eat your little cup of Blue Bell ice cream with a wooden spoon like a popcicle stick. I have not had this bad of experience at a restaurant in Lafayette that I can remember. read more

I am a big supporter of local business owners, so I give this negative review after a lot of thought and consideration. First, hot pot is all about the experience. The manager or owner that was there at the time was micro managing our waitress, who gave awesome service. She was very helpful in explaining the menu and answering our questions. She was managing several tables and doing it well. Before she brought our drink order, which was fast in our opinion, the manager was pressing her to make sure it was done and even addressed her about it in front of us. Second, the food was awful, flavorless. I've never left a review like this before - none of what we ordered cooked well in the pot and, on top of it, there's a "waste fee" if you don't finish everything you order. I understand the business policy because some customers make take advantage of "all you can eat" but isn't that why there's a 2 hour time limit? I never look at prices when I dine out, but I thought this was ridiculous. I have never been to a restaurant where the food was so bad but yet you were charged for not eating it all. So we ordered slow, didn't order much, and definitely didn't get the equivalent or quality of food for what we paid. Lastly, we were a family dining out and catching up. It was the weekend and we hadn't seen each other. Immediately after finishing our food, that same manager started pacing around our table. You could tell she was ready for us to leave and for her to flip the table for the next customer. We had been there 1 hour total, when it's a 2 hour dining limit, and she came up to us, interrupted our conversation and asked us to leave. To say she was rude is an understatement. In Lafayette, where we have some of the best restaurants in the country and the world, including Asian cuisine, there are so many better places to go to. Bad food. Awful experience. Take it from me. YUMMY!! Went for my birthday and the staff were so nice! They checked on our table often and were quick to get us what we needed. 3/5 got the Spicy Butter broth and 2/5 got the Tom Yum Broth. I got the Spicy Butter medium spicy and it was still quite spicy (perfect for me!). My friend wanted a tiny bit of spice so she got the less spicy and enjoyed it a lot. Its called spicy butter but theres only a little butter (its not like cooking everything in a whole pot of butter). The two guys really enjoyed the Tom Yum broth as well! The ingredients cooked well and the portions were perfect! Very delicious as well! The place was also very welcoming and played lots of videos of asian cuisine! There is music that plays over the speakers (not super loud) as well. The BBQ was also delightful. I appreciated that it was cooked for me and tasted good too!
