Food was amazing- I got the breakfast sandwich and my husband got the bacado, both were great. We arrived on a Sunday morning and it seemed to be a bit hectic- hostess seemed confused on seating and how long it would take. Once we got seated, our server, Bridget, was great. On a holiday weekend and found this gem. 10 am on a Friday and there was a 5-10 minute wait, worth it. I ordered off the seasonal menu and my husband ordered a more traditional breakfast of eggs, bacon and Belgian waffle. He said the waffle wasn't as crispy as he likes it. When we got here we put our name on the wait list. People who arrived after us were seated before us. We finally got seated only after we brought this to the hosts attention. When we did get seated we had to wait again. The good news is that we were brought water and coffee.....even though we did not order coffee. By the way, never were brought cups until we asked for them. After finally being able to place our order, we waited.....and waited, and yes you guessed it - waited more. When the food did arrive the waffle and home fries were cold. The Benedicts were very good and the home fries that came with them were hot. Wow! This place has some fresh and interesting choices! We had orange carrot and turmeric juice drink- so good! Then million dollar bacon, eggs Benedict and farm skillet bowl. So yummy! Great service, friendly people. You will not be disappointed! read more

I really like the look and the food at this place, but the staff's courtesy leaves a lot to be desired. The person who seated us was visibly annoyed when we asked for a different table and, while our table waitress was very pleasant, another waitress brought us an order that wasn't ours and was very sour when we told her that we had not ordered that food. Great place for anyone but particularly for those that travel frequently, sooo nice to go to a place that has diverse selection of wonderfully tasting breakfast options. Was not anything my wife and I didn't like from basics like coffee and breads, to creative hash browns. read more

We live nearby & decided to give this place a shot, we came in around 11am , it was fairly busy but we got seated right away. We ordered our drinks and finshed them before the food came out since it took a bit. Never was offered a refill on our drinks. A few of the leaves on my salad were rotten. Probably wont be back. Server was very nice but might want to consider having more staff during rush hour. read more

Well for starters this restaurant has a great modern yet rustic vibe. I would eat here everyday if my pocket could afford it. The service is outstanding! Believe me I know this I've sat in every section. That was at least until I found these two wonderful servers Jackie and Caleb. They are so well trained and mannered that I request them each time. If you go there be sure to try a drink special they are delicious unfortunately I do not remember the name of them. Also if you go ask for one of those sections with them so you can experience 5 star dining. I will continue to send business your way as I always have. read more

Great addition to Bluffton! My wife and I are new to the area and have been craving healthy and creative food, good service, and the contemporary styling of restaurants that we came accustomed to in San Diego when eating out. Really didn't get much out of this for,brunch today. Nice new and shiny but the food was uninspired at best. Biscuits and gravy couldn't beat Hardee's and forgotten eggs undercooked when they showed up. Wife had the salad, she's gluten free (their GF menu had to be written by a lawyer, she's and engineer and still couldn't figure out all the cross references) so settles for a grilled chicken avocado selection which was ok once the chicken showed up. The food and atmosphere of this First Watch are AWESOME!! Our service however was awful! We had to ask for our water, bowl of fruit, syrup, gluten free toast AND the ciabatta roll that came with my meal. Worst of all the server bought my ciabatta out 10 minutes after my meal was served and rolled it onto my plate! Thankful the food was good though! read more

We ate breakfast last year when it first opened and the food and service was excellent. The other day we went for breakfast and this time we were not happy with the meal. I ordered the summer crab omelette and it was cold inside and out with fishy water and vegetables . I believe the peppers and onions are frozen and they are placed in the omelette cold along with the mush they call crab, then folded in half and artificial hollandaise sauce is poured on top with pepper sauce. It was terrible!!! Also the blueberry pancake was cold. I will not be going back and they should change the name from Summer Omelette to "Meow Chow". If you are offering crab on the menu then use crab... not cat food. read more

Who are these people that had an average or bad experience? I've visited twice and both were perfect. Yes, you may have to wait, but it goes fast. They seat by text, so pay attention! Food is healthy, well prepared and nicely presented. Staff was attentive and nice. Orders were correct every time. They have gluten free bread, and great, pick 2 lunch specials for $7.99! If you go crazy with add ons, it can get expensive. Outside seating (a little noisy) and upscale modern industrial decor inside. What more could you ask for? Oh, and, special coffees. The food was neither horrible or fantastic. It was just ok. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a side dish of bacon. The bacon had some sort of cayenne and brown sugar glaze that I enjoyed, but it was cold. The breakfast sandwich I ordered had a good flavor, but the bread was soggy for some reason unknown to me. All in all I would be willing to give first watch another chance. read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Bluffton, the new addition looks so awesome and the food is always amazing!

We had a party of 10 and was told the wait time would be 30 minutes. Not bad no problem so we go shopping for 20 minutes and come back. They give our table away. Then we finally get seated and we wait a solid HOUR on our food. I am currently still waiting to eat. 2 hours total from time of showing up until now. Don't know how the food is, don't care at this point. They have to be more efficient than this. read more

Well started our journey at 9:45 AM with their online check-in and it said 0 parties ahead of us. We arrived about 7 minutes later to find there were several parties waiting. We checked in and we were placed at the bottom of the list. So not sure what the online check-in is really for. Many others after us had the same question. We watched 2 tables sit un cleaned for 25 minutes and then timed the girl cleaning it. She took 10 more minutes to clear a few glasses and wipe it down.. she kept walking away and going into the back. After about 40 minutes waiting on what we were told would be 10-15 minutes. After finally sitting down our server got our drinks and then proceeded to take the order of another table that just sat down. We finally ordered a breakfast sandwich and a simple bacon omelette that took right at 40 minutes to get. The food was good but from time of online check-in at 9:45 to getting our food at 11:35! Food is great but avoid a Sunday! read more

We have been to a few different First Watch Cafes in the last few years. The food is consistently great! The problem seems to be in the kitchen at this one. For some reason we always have an extended wait, greater than 30-40 minutes after ordering to get our food. We understood the first time, as it was opening day and everyone was learning the flow. The second time was just a week later so we were patient. This time we waited a few weeks before coming back to see if he kinks are worked out. Firstly, and the most important reasons we will come back... The servers are always smiling and friendly, they happily adjust my order due to my food allergy, never have an empty glass, and the food, like I said, is always good. This visit I think we decided that it may just be best to not come on a weekend again, but we will be back, and hope we don't have to bring snacks to keep us satisfied until our food comes. They also have an app that lets you check-in before you get there. Not quite sure this works well as I checked in online, it told me to be there at 10am, we were there at 10 and still had a 30 minute wait for a table, and they were telling people that walked in behind us it was a 30-45 min wait. Still up in the air on if it gained us anything. read more

I have visited this establishment twice. It is the most overpriced breakfast in Bluffton SC. The food is average in quality, then do have some interesting it choices. Service is slow. I am on a road trip that has taken thru 15 states and 3 months and without a question THE MOST OVERPRICED BREAKFAST ANYWHERE!!! read more

Wow!! The menu has everything you may want to eat for breakfast or lunch. I'm working my way through the offerings. The waffles are the perfect texture and flavorful. The breakfast tacos are yummy. And OH, the coffee is the BEST in town, you get your own little pot. The wait for seating is worth it. Be prepared to spend about $18 for your meal. read more

This is a great restaurant! The staff is very nice and welcoming. I highly recommend the waffles (they are even better if you ask for chocolate chips!) and the orange juice is very fresh! So delicious! We were looking for a breakfast spot that was close to our condo and this popped up on Yelp. I loved everything I ordered and hope to return soon. They produce their own cold-pressed juices so I ordered one but I can't recall the name. It had beets and was a beautiful pink shade. It tasted wonderful. I ordered the superfood bowl and it was so delicious. I'm already a fan of chia seed pudding but their consistency was better than any I've ever made and their home-made granola was the stuff of dreams along with their homemade preserves.
