I love this place for a good guilt free breakfast with great fresh ingredients. They offer a special seasonal menu so every time you go you get a chance to try something different. Food is always fresh and delicious. I usually do their chickichanga which is always on point. Today I tried their morning granola bowl and it was outstanding. Tons of fresh fruit and it's served with a fresh muffin yum. One suggestion is if you go get the kale tonic SO GOOD. Wish it had less ice and more liquid but that's to be expected. Service has always been great here. They have an option to download an app to put your name on their wait list which was super convenient. We had such a wonderful experience. We were seated in a huge booth ( just the 2 of us) and enjoyed every part of our brunch. We had avocado toast, lemon ricotta pancakes, and the pesto chicken quinoa bowl. Everything was AMAZING. boy oh boy... I really don't get it. I don't get the popularity of this place... I don't get the following of loyal customers this place has... I was here a year ago and thought the food was bland and boring. I also thought the decor was dated (even though it's not old, just badly designed). Service was fine. Not hard to figure out, I had no interest in returning. We're back... and why? We returned because we had a gift card from a friend... you guessed it... "a loyal customer". My grandparents wanted to take all their grandchildren (at least the ones in Florida during the holidays) for brunch and my mom suggested we try First Watch. It's conveniently located near the mall so I feared we'd be waiting at least an hour for a table on the busiest shopping weekend on the year. Lucky for us our party of 6 was seated immediately! While my mom raved about the banana granola pancakes no one at table ordered them. Still feeling a bit guilty about all the pumpkin pie I had devoured over the past few days I went straight for the healthy section of the menu. Thin crepes wrapped around fresh fruit- sold! And it even came with a side of delicious granola. Grandma got the same and seemed to like it. My brother ordered a yogurt parfait (also feeling a bit guilty from all the pie)- he liked it, but it's not a very big portion and was hungry a few hours. My husband said his breakfast burrito was just OK. Apparently this isn't the only location in Florida because my brother said he used to eat at the one in Tampa all the time. Friend from work remembered they had butternut squash soup and they are on the 'healthy side'...so we went. I had never been to this location before and they have a ton of outside seating #hellofall #bringonthe70s. With that said, we are already planning our next visit here. I ordered the butternut squash soup, which was so good the little old lady in the booth next to us inquired what it was, and the roasted butternut squash quinoa for lunch! Both were excellent! We also had a $2 coupon, so our bill was super affordable. I love the fact they make the food healthy and it's not overly greasy or full of sugar. They serve awesome breakfast and lunch. Their daily specials are cutely written on a huge chalkboard on one side of the restaurant. Whenever I have been there, it's been always crowded, however, I have never waited more than 10-20 minutes. They offer complimentary coffee while you wait which is a nice gesture. The servers are very efficient in placing your order in the kitchen in a timely manner and bringing your food to you. For a good way to start your breakfast try the delicious fruit crepes with yogurt and granola crunch on top. Me being the explorer in the family, I typically find myself craving morning comfort food whenever I'm back in Boca after being overseas, and First Watch's extensive menu more than meets this need by providing a good combination of traditional American breakfasts (pancakes waffles, omelets, oatmeal), as well as some interesting local and seasonal specialties (Floridian French Toast, Pumpkin Pancakes). In addition to the standard menu, they also have a constantly changing chalkboard of specials, which is a great place to start if you aren't already set on what to order. Everything I've ordered has been so satisfying that I wouldn't know where to begin as far as recommendations. However, I will mention that the Floridian French Toast is my personal favorite: perfectly crisp sourdough slices, encrusted with wheat germ and topped with strawberry, banana, and kiwi slices. Recently I tried the Bruleed Banana Waffles, a chalkboard special which, in addition to being topped with brown sugar bacon and bananas, was finished off with bacon-flavored maple syrup. The banana granola pancakes are great! Especially if you order them with the topping that comes with the Floridian French Toast. The open faced chicken salad sandwich is awesome! I order it with no cheese and it comes with soup or salad. I tried the Italian wedding soup that was their special of the day and it was fantastic!!! Very tasty! Also, the cranberry, banana, nut oatmeal is really good, and it comes with an english muffin. Service is very fast too! I'd seen it's storefront a few times while getting gas at the Mobile station at the northwest corner of Glades and 441, but thought it might be a church , luckily my son told me it was a breakfast/ brunch restaurant and he had been here before and loved it. We decided to go for my oldest son's birthday and it was awesome! The food is fresh and comes out fast! Where we sat I could see the chef and he was smiling while interacting with the servers. There is no waffling on my opinion of First Watch - this place is awesome! Yeah, that pun was cheesier than their delicious omelettes. Ok, sorry for that one, too. First off, they are OPEN! I have driven by multiple times and always wondered if they were open or if remodeling was in progress. Thankfully, this place is open, busy, and good! I had the Floridian French Toast, and it was so, so good! I'd say I'd be back for it, but in reality I'll be back to try all the other incredibly tempting options I passed on. It was really hard to decide what to eat, but I have a feeling I could have throw darts at the menu and come away with something delicious. The coffee is really good here. We went on Sunday morning and there was a free coffee station outside for those of us waiting to be seated. I thought that was a great little extra and was very appreciated on a sleepy Sunday. My parents are coming to visit at the end of October, and I'll definitely be bringing them to check this place out while they are here. First Watch is a clean place for a good breakfast to start your day. While it's not amazing, they do serve up good quality plates at prices that you'd expect. The waffles were light a fluffy. Eggs were well cooked and bacon was ... bacon. Every plate seemed like it was missing something though. For instance, the waffle "Trifecta" came with bacon and eggs, but somehow the plate felt lacking. Maybe throwing some potatoes or something on there would have completed the experience. I don't know. Girlfriend got the "Key West Crepeggs" which she was not impressed with. I thought it tasted fresh and flavorful but under the covers was some very brown looking avocado. Maybe it's best not to know. :-) Personal grievance: There are sections of the menu with no prices. I find it distasteful because in some places a small orange juice to large orange juice can be a difference of $6. (Hey -- we're proud of our citrus... Am I right?) For what it's worth, the juice was very good. I personally like the fact that they leave a jug of water and coffee on the table but their service and presentation did lack a little bit and made the experience feel even more casual and more like a chain restaurant than I'm sure they want. My suggestion is to leave only one self-service drink item on the table. It crowds it and lessens the experience. read more
