I have been to other FW locations in SoFlo, but this was my first visit to the Town Center location. What a great spot! On a Sunday at 9:30am, we had about a 15-minute wait, but used the Check-In app to skip the wait. Service was very good and attentive. The vibe is a cross between a casual, local diner and a chain, so it's not my favorite, but the food is delicious. We ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes to share, and I had the egg sandwich while my friend had the eggs benny. The pancakes were very good, but the lemon flavoring on top tasted very processed, so I had to wipe it off. My friend said her eggs benny were solid. My egg sandwich was recommended by the waitress, and it did not disappoint! Great combination of flavors. I just wish the bread was a little fresher. The iced coffee was wonderful. I enjoy my coffee two ways only: iced and sweet-as-can-be. So, if you like it that way, then definitely order! Despite the crowded restaurant on the Sunday morning, we were not rushed by the wait staff. This is rare these days, so it's something I appreciated. Will be back soon for sure! read more

I've known of this location for several years, and have often seen the lines out the door on busy weekends. I've read 4 and 5 star reviews of fellow Yelpers whom I respect, and figured, hey, let me finally try it, and arrived at 8 AM on Sunday, hoping that there would not be a wait, and there was not. Quickly shown to a table, and greeted by a server who wanted to immediately take our order, we explained that this was our first time, and we wanted to look at the menu. She offered to bring fresh coffee, which we accepted, and when I inquired about bottled water, she said she would need to check on it. The coffee was brought and poured into our mugs, and was warm, not hot, which is a sure indication that it had been sitting in the carafe for awhile, and not poured directly from the urn. That was our first red flag, so to say. It took 5 minutes for her to return to take the order, and indicate that they had no flat bottle water, only sparkling, and we asked for a bottle of sparkling, which was not brought until we asked for it again, to another waitress walking by. I was taken aback when I asked for clarification about the preparation of the works omelet, when her response was "it has everything stated in the menu", and I replied, "yes, I can read that, but I am asking you something specific about HOW it is prepared", and she replied "it is prepared exactly as it is on the menu". I guess I was not supposed to ask any questions, just order. When our food was brought over, I tasted mine, and commented to my partner "the eggs are luke warm, and the mushrooms, bacon and sausage are cold, as is the buttered toast" [which I had requested dry]. My partner said "everything on my plate is cold". We caught the eye of another waitress and explained it was all cold, she apologized, and said she would have it re-made. When it was brought back to the table, both meals were real hot. Our original waitress asked "is everything ok now", to which we replied "yes, but the food really shouldn't sit in the kitchen and get cold", to which she replied "it doesn't, we don't use any heat lamps, it's brought out as soon as it is cooked", and I shook my head and said, nicely, "well, that's not what happened to ours". When paying at the register, a man who looked like he might be the manager, and who identified himself as the manager when I asked [Jim Bonner], was surprised when I explained what had happened. His waitress had not brought this to his attention, and should have. He comped our meals, which I was not expecting, but did reflect his sense of responsibility for the poor performance of the kitchen and/or the waitress. Will I return? No. There are way too many restaurants in Boca serving healthy, hot breakfasts. So the two stars are awarded for the manager's appropriate reaction, otherwise, this was a 0 star encounter. The food was ok, nothing to rave about, maybe my standards are too high, but they are what they are. Note: I rarely write negative reviews after only one experience, but thought this one was worth noting, as I know I will not return. read more

After retuning from a cruise I wanted a decent breakfast and first Watch caught my eye on Yelp. Private parking lot and a fairly large dinning area got me seating asap on a Saturday morning. I went with the multi grain pancake, eggs and turkey sausage. I also tried the chicken sausage which was yummy too. The waitress was friendly, on the spot with service and the food is very reasonably priced. I can now understand why the placed gets so busy and has a high rating on Yelp. read more

Came here with my good friend Rich for brunch and I was excited after reading all the Yelp reviews. The place was clean well lit and we luckily had no wait. We were seated and after reviewing the menu I ordered a Ham Gruyere Omelette with salad greens which were a tad bitter and a mini cup of fresh fruit. My omelette was very tasty but those free range cage free eggs were pretty small! (the next time I want my eggs caged and LARGER) Rich had the Veggie Burger and A cup of tomato soup which he enjoyed.....Rich can't cook so finds mostly everything good except for raw dead fish aka Sushi! I enjoy First Watch. Feels like a nice farm to table spot. Bright, clean, green feeling. They have great coffee but give you those little International delights cups to put in as cream which I despise - I asked our server if she could get me some real half and half and she got me some from the kitchen. Been here twice. Once I had eggs Benedict which was very good. Second time I had delicious avocado toast with eggs - so yummy and generous with the avocado. I got my eggs poached. Just had brunch there and ordered the Hacienda hash, a chorizo and potato hash topped with poached eggs. I asked for the eggs to be soft poached with a runny yolk. The dish was beautiful but the eggs had a hard yolk. On the second try, when I dug into the hash it was all potato and NO chorizo. Very disappointing. I ordered something else which, correctly so, they did not charge for. To be fair, everyone else in my group enjoyed theirs. I seldom have 'brunch' per se. I do a lot of dinners or places that serve breakfast, but not brunch. I was in the area and thought First Watch would be a good place to try. We got on the wait list on Yelp which was a godsend. There was a 25 minute wait. When we got there, we were able to get a table within a few minutes of arriving. There was a lot of people waiting so I already felt like we were ahead. Ok, like I said before, I don't do the whole brunch thing too often, and I thought this place was pretty phenomenal. The food choices sounded amazing, I had a hard time selecting. We shared an order of Avocado toast. I had BLT egg Benedict, and hubby had a Trifecta with eggs, Belgian waffle and sausage. My food came with potatoes. I could have gotten fruit or salad. OH MY WORD! The egg Benedict was amazing!! So much food too! I do agree with one of the prior reviews that pointed out blandness, and yes. I had to add salt to everything. But I think this is because when a place serves all natural and/or organic ingredients, they want you to taste the flavors of the ingredients not the seasoning. Yes I think the avocado mash on toast could've used a little Latin flair, butbut that is my taste. Doesn't signify the vast majority, and that does not mean the food is bad. Just a little underseasoned to my personal preference. The food is so incredibly fresh though I was very impressed. Price wise this place is very inexpensive. In my experience, it is even cheaper than what you get a a diner level, and is leaps and bounds better, the portions are also very generous. Service was very efficient. The girl was patient with us because I wanted to read the whole menu. This place is very busy and they want their tables fast but we were not rushed. They have the best breakfasts around. Their selection of egg dishes is plentiful. Their gruyere cheese omelet is great. They also have a wide selection of sides. I usually choose the fruit and whole wheat toast. The fruit is always very fresh. My wife enjoys the hash-browns and they are very accommodating as she likes them extra crispy. read more

What happened to this place? Went several times in the past - really liked it, and now it's just awful! The food is disappointing, really not good and we had four different dishes. And the waitress, who finally showed up, came and poured coffee without asking -- that was fine until we got the check: $4.00 a person! Coffee?? But sadly the food was mediocre and not hot. My biggest disappointment was the oatmeal, which is why we went there -- I remembered it as so fresh and flavorful. No more -- bland, kind of hard and not hot. Even the poached eggs were tiny and not hot, and in a separate bowl (I guess that was ok, but surprising -- should be on the food if its part of the dish). I think they can get away with high prices and mediocre food, so they do it. We like another place, Skittles, so will continue to go there. Absolutely do not go to this place, unless you care nothing about taste. -- It is now several hours later and I have heartburn. Not saying it's because of the food, but have eaten nothing since. . . I think the food was sitting around and microwaved, rather than made fresh for us, but I have no way of knowing for sure. I usually don't get heartburn, however. read more

I love first watch. I've only had their breakfast items here and it's so good I can't convicnce myself to order lunch instead. The million dollar bacon is always a hit, it's sweet but has a perfect kick to it with the maple syrup drizzle with cayenne to top it off. This dish usually lasts about a minute at our table before every piece is snatched up. One of my favorites it the bacado omelet which is with bacon, avocado and MontereyJack cheese with salsa and sour cream to dip into. It's heavenly and very filling. I've also tried the elevated egg sandwich which is my favorite to date. It's a sandwich with an over easy egg, avocado, bacon, gruyere cheese, mayo and lemon dressed arugula on a brioche bun.... need I say more?!? It had the perfect combination of flavors the arugula especially brought out that peppery goodness which made you feel a bit healthy eating too! Next time I would substitute the potatoes that come with it for their mixed greens, they are always so fresh and tasty. Plus; the sandwich itself was really filling a lighter side may not require an after breakfast nap. Lastly, the staff is always so friendly even though it's always super packed. The sad part is one of us did not get their food until the rest of us were done eating and when their food did come, it was missing the eggs. 20min later the eggs come. Never again. I've never been a big fan of the First Watch chain. Don't bother asking me why because I don't really have an answer. The few times I've been, Ive come away unsatisfied. Nothing particularly wrong with the food, I mean it's ok, but nothing leaving a "Wow! That was amazing!" impression. Not sure if this was really all that different, but it was good. I had the chorizo chile omelette. No flavor really stood out, which I guess is good. There were definitely green chili peppers and avocado, cheese, onions, and I assume chorizo in there somewhere as well. The potatoes were fine, and the toast was as well, I guess. All in all, it was a fairly tasty meal, and service was good too...until the bill came, at which point, I guess the waitress was done because I didn't see her again. I could've used a little more coffee, but it's fine. I had probably had enough anyway. Not sure this experience will make me seek out First Watch in the future, but I might be less inclined to turn up my nose if someone else suggests it. read more

One of my favorite places to go for breakfast. I love the creative juice elixir's which are always changing by the seasons. My favorite omelettes are the Bacado or the ham in Gruyère cheese. I also love the eggs Benedict and avocado toast. First Watch always uses premium fresh ingredients, each dishes served fresh to the point of almost picture worthy. It's such a far distance from a Denny's level or a diner level breakfast if you like to step up your breakfast game. read more

I got the 2 for you combo which allows you to choose either half a sandwich, soup, or salad. I got the ham and gruyere melt with the tomato basil soup. The sandwich was on a nicely grilled bread. I thought they were skimpy with the cheese but overly generous with the Dijon which was overpowering. The soup was slightly too acidic. I wouldn't order it again. I'll stick to the avocado toast which I enjoy here. I think there's a problem with the checkout process here. They leave your bill on the table for you to bring to the hostess stand to pay at. This is an issue because there's almost always a wait here, so there's a long line of people inquiring already for a table, and you're stuck waiting in this line to pay your bill. They didn't have separate lines. The line even went into the waiting/seating area, so it was a real mess. read more

Being a college student and leaving class starving with little money, I gotta tell you that first watch is like heaven and the fact that it's a guilt free breakfast could possible make it even more mouth watering. I usually come here on Mondays and Wednesdays, and I've never been disappointed. I always always end up getting one on their juices to go, because I can never decide between that or their delicious strong organic coffee, why not just do both at different times. I am a huge avocado fan so the fact that avocado is used on in a lot of dishes makes me a happy gal. With that being said, the avocado toast is probably the best avocado dish on the menu!! Now I will be honest that since I come here so often I can never do the same thing on the menu so I'm pretty sure I have mastered the entire breakfast menu and everything has been so fresh, always. Never once was I upset with something and sometimes I can be a picky eater when I don't know exactly what I'm in the mood for. On the lunch mean I've done the you pick two and it is sooo much good that I can never finish it all! I haven't tried all the salads or sammies on their lunch menu because I'm just so in love with the pecan salad and Montgomery sandwich. Another thing to love about first watch is that if you become somewhat of a regular like I am, then you love the special menus they give out. So this way I can always make sure to try something different. I wish they would bring back the lemon blueberry quinoa pancakes, those had my heart. But I recently just tried their barbacoa Benedict and I must say WOW!! And their million dolla bacon is outta this world!! Service has always been good, I've never am kept waiting for anything and I know that they get super busy! First Watch is always a great experience no matter which location I go to. Staff is super friendly and quick. What I did love about this particular location is that they offer outside seating, not just indoor. It is a bit crowded on weekends so I would suggest going early unless you are okay with waiting. We waited about 15-20 mins on a Saturday morning - not too bad. What I also love about First Watch is the variety of coffee creamers - and they have stevia. They have a great variety of breakfast and lunch options. I usually do the Avocado Toast but I had the healthy turkey omelette this time. It was delicious!
