The thing I like about First Watch (a favorite of ours when we decide to treat ourselves to Saturday breakfast) is its focus on healthy tastes. I ordered today a Million Dollar Breakfast Sandwich from their summer specials, and it didn't go unnoticed that there was a generous pile of tender greens with it. I also had the summer watermelon wake-up juice, which was light, sweet, and very freshening. I would encourage first time diners to try the fresher, fruitier offerings before coming back for omelets or skillet breakfasts another day. Service was solid, and our server did not keep us waiting at all. There's plenty of table space, though it does get busy. For context: certain oils don't agree with me--they trigger migraines and general unwellness. And sure enough, within hours, I was both nauseous and nursing a headache. I started going to First Watch in Georgetown, but a lot of times, it was so packed. I have gone to this location in Cedar Park, and think they are better! Gone a few times..at different times. Of course the weekend mornings are the busiest! But, even at their busiest, the staff is always pleasant and attentive. I have gone a couple times with my husband, who is very picky on breakfast food. But, got him to venture out and even try the Italian omelet, which he loved. Both of us LOVE their potatoes! I love their chicken sausage (*get a side of it if your meal does not come with it). But, today, went on weekday morning by myself and even around almost 11am, it was pretty packed. I sat on the counter, and had great service! Got my coffee right away. (*strange, they don't put a spoon in the main set up. Had to ask for one...and was a large spoon...for coffee). I seriously cannot say enough good things about First Watch. Every single time we come into Texas this is literally the first place we come for brunch and it never ever disappoints. This visit I ordered the BLT Benedict which our waitress Preslea recommended and it was unreal. The bacon had the perfect crunch not too chewy not overdone and added so much flavor. The eggs were cooked perfectly and everything paired so well together. The salad on the side was super fresh and the grape vinaigrette was honestly perfect flavorful but not overpowering at all which I really appreciated. I also got the Kale Tonic and it was amazing. Not too sweet not bitter just super clean and refreshing which is hard to do with green drinks sometimes. It paired perfectly with the meal and felt like a great balance with all the food. Preslea was incredible. She was super sweet friendly and very on top of everything. Drinks were always refilled without us having to ask she checked in multiple times to make sure the food was good and you could tell she genuinely cared about us having a great experience. Service like that really makes a difference. This is hands down my favorite brunch spot. The skillet hashes are always phenomenal packed with flavor and cooked perfectly every time. The omelets never miss and are always loaded and filling. The coffee and drinks are consistently great no matter what you order. My food came out in a descent time and it was HOT! The coffee was fresh and while the cost of everything is rising for 2 meals we didn't break the bank. If you're looking for a healthier breakfast and lunch choice, this is a good place to come. There's lots of open seating inside along with a few tables outside. There is music playing overhead, but the acoustics make it hard to hear with all the conversations going on. You can get their multigrain pancakes, waffles or French toast and I like the fact that they do offer pure maple syrup, but it is an added cost. We skipped the coffee and got here closer to lunchtime, but still went with the traditional breakfasts. The pancake is large and fluffy, but my ham steak was thin and tough. Overall, it's a decent breakfast for the money and many of the ingredients are fresh. This is the closest First Watch near me and I've been here many times. So my rating is based on past experience plus today. Usually this location is on top of seating and service but today was a long wait even though we checked in online ahead of time. We had a great server, however my food came out cold and a portion of my friend's did as well. This is a hit or miss thing at this particular location. I LOVE First Watch's food! This location gets it right about 65% of the time. They're always busy and buzzing with chatter from guests. I really appreciated the Manager going out of her way to address our issue and apologize for the inconvenience. Excellent, prompt and polite service. Our breakfast was outstanding. My wife got the waffle trifecta (waffle, 2 eggs, bacon) and I got the blueberry pancakes trifecta. I had delicious fresh squeezed oj and my wife had a refreshing non alcohol lemonade drink called the Blazing Dragon. The coffee was really good. I brought my partner here hoping for the same quality, but unfortunately our meal fell short in several ways. We ordered two Tri-Fecta plates with the chicken apple sausage patties, and almost every item had an issue. I had asked for over-easy eggs, but they came out closer to medium. When I got to the plain pancakes, I noticed some slight discoloration that reminded me of mold, which made me stop eating them altogether. Last week, I came here for a late breakfast with a companion to try the summer menu. Just like any other visit to this location, upon arrival, there was a 20 to 30 minute wait for a table. Blueberry Lemon Cornbread This dish is not like the typical Southern Buttermilk Cornbread. It's lighter, more cake-like but not too sweet. Cornbread purists will most likely hate it because of the addition of berries and the tart lightly whipped lemon butter. This cornbread appears to be more flour than cornmeal as it has a lighter texture than a standard cornbread. This is a dish that can serve as a breakfast side/main or as a dessert. Carnitas Breakfast Quesadilla These carnitas quesadillas have layers of flavor stuffed with slow-cooked pork infused with Mexican spices and citrus and fluffy eggs in between large crispy cheese-crusted wheat tortilla shells. Although the ingredients of this dish tend to skew 'heavy', dish is fairly light as there is more egg in the quesadillas than anything else. However, the highlight of this dish for me is that it is protein-packed, which will certainly fuel you throughout the day. The black beans that accompanied this dish lacked flavor and were a bit of a letdown for me. Spiked Watermelon Wake up Everyone loves a cocktail that is crisp, refreshing, and oh-so-delicious. Watermelon mint and a splash of vodka is like that friend you're always happy to see. It brings good vibes to an occasion. The best part of sipping this cocktail? We ate here this morning and it was delicious! I had the breakfast tacos, they were super flavorful with fresh avocado and pico de gallo that just hit the spot! My husband had the farmhouse hash that was out of this world. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned and delicious. The kids had their chocolate chip pancakes and I was surprised at how large it was, super thick, but very fluffy and light. We will definitely be coming back. Really underwhelming experience. I had avoided going here because I LOVE a breakfast place up the road, but my guest wanted to try First Watch as she's been to another location before. Their online waitlist option was probably the best part of the experience. While our waitress was nice, she managed to spill an entire bloody mary on my guest's leg and brand new designer, cloth shoes. While I totally understand accidents happen - I'm flabbergasted that nothing was done to rectify the situation. We should've gotten up to leave - but we were in shock. We ordered, and were later served the coldest breakfast plates I've ever had. I had the classic benedict - the hollandaise was okay, but the ham was cold, as were the eggs (how?!). My guest ordered the hash and while some of the flavors were good, it was all cold. The space itself is pretty lackluster, too. Overall a very, very disappointing and underwhelming experience. Checked in with the Host 10-15min wait suggested. - 30 minutes later we question the situation and told we did not get checked in by the host and would be next. Drinks came quickly. 20 minutes passed and the food arrived - cold eggs were disappointing. Strawberries were missing. Noise level - very high. Having a conversation or ordering is difficult. It is this location the building is an open box. Management remains the core problem with this location. Pro tip: Don't go here. I love First Watch. The food is so delicious. This is a new location for me. It was Sunday and they were banging. We had to put our name on the list, took about 45 minutes to be seated. And it was well worth it. The food was on point, the service was fabulous. Actually our waitress Kori, was funny. She got our humor, and we played it up. Didn't realize it was 2:45 and they close at 2:30, so we hurried up and finished. Let's talk about the food. I got the BLTE sandwich. The bacon was crisp and flavorful. Lettuce was crunchy and crisp, tomato was juicy and the fried egg was perfectly well done. The bread was really good too. I don't remember what type of bread, but it wasn't plan white bread. This makes me think the management of First Watch must treat them really bad. Man, Cedar Park is just starved for any sit down breakfast/brunch places. They said 30-45 min wait, it was more an hour wait. I had the veggie pesto sandwich with mushrooms and zucchini. It was really good! The menu says it comes with either salad or soup but when i asked what the soup was, the waiter was so confused and honestly couldn't even answer me. It was weird. They also don't have matcha or dairy free milk (i believe). Overall food was better than I thought. Drinks/beverage items were worse than I thought. Service was really bad. Prices were decent.
