    Plum cake small scoop
    Pree R.

I visited Dumont Creamery in Cedar Park for the first time recently, though I've been to their Round Rock location before. I still remember trying their jam cake flavor back then, which was really delicious, so I was excited to see what they had this time around. I ordered the plum cake flavor and just wanted a small scoop to satisfy a morning craving. What surprised me was that the employee actually WEIGHED the ice cream on a SCALE. I found that pretty intriguing--on one hand, it could be helpful for people who track macros or want a very accurate calorie count. On the other hand, for the average customer, it felt a little unusual and made me wonder if it was about portion control or cost. Definitely interesting, but a bit unexpected for an ice cream shop. As for the flavor, it was good but nothing spectacular. Still, I appreciate that Dumont offers unique and rotating flavors, and I like supporting local ice cream shops that try something a little different. Overall, it did exactly what I wanted--satisfied my craving without being overly indulgent.

Very sweet helpful dudes running the place. I love how they have ice cream up front to take home too. Very fun flavors and fun atmosphere! Great place :)

First time and I've fallen in love. The iced strawberry matcha was amazing and perfectly balanced! The man working the counter was so helpful in making suggestions and handing out samples I felt very welcome! I went later in the day so business was quiet and plenty of seating! I also noticed they have free WiFi!

Came here during their grand opening over the weekend. They were doing BOGO. I got a Sunny Mango and Mangonada. The slush was great, and we agreed that if we came back, we would order the drink again. But of course, I would like to try their coffee here. The Sunny Mango is slightly sweet with jelly in it. Usually, the strawberry sauce can be overly tart, but it wasn't, which was great. They also have ice cream and pastries and Dubai Chocolate here. The store itself is brightly lit with multiple tables on the side. The prices themselves are decent and not overly pricey like some drink shops.

This place is so cute! We've been wanting to try them since they opened. The interior was adorable and really well-decorated. An upscale-casual vibe and very clean and organized. I loved the massive mural corner for photo ops and the Cedar Park history wall. A nice local touch. My daughter and I both got a small scoop, Birthday Cake for her and Hokey Pokey for me. I was surprised to see how many kid-friendly flavors they had, and that they didn't look super artificially colored and bright. I tasted her Birthday Cake and I think it's in the more gourmet vein would appeal to adults as well. My Hokey Pokey was delicious with crunchy snaps of toffee that were soooo much more authentic than most "toffee" ice creams that usually just have miniscule molecules to vary texture. It was rich, creamy, and definitely the best local ice cream I've had on the culinary side. Can't wait to come back and try their extensive drink menu.

I'm so glad this is here! I needed a place to work for a few minutes. They have good wifi. I got a delicious latte for much less than I'd pay at Starby's. And it's a cute and comfy atmosphere!!

Ice cream was really flavorful but the portion size was skimpy for the price. Store was clean and staff friendly.

Delicious coffee and ice cream, and friendly service. I had a scoop of the salted caramel ice cream, and a cafe latte, and I am a happy boy!

Overall: 3.7/5 [dine in]…read more Unfortunately this place is closing down on May 24, 2026 due to failed lease negotiations with the landlord. We made the drive up north to try it before they close since they carry some Vietnamese snacks that are hard to find in Austin. Their menu is extensive covering drinks, desserts, and snacks so it took us a while to decide on our order. All their drinks are lactose free which was great to hear. The staff was nice but it did take a while for everything to come out. Peppermint Pandan Latte / Sam Dua Bac Ha ($6.95) + Crystal Boba ($0.95): We got this at 75% sweet and it was delicious. You can distinctly taste both the peppermint and pandan and it was really refreshing. Matcha Lover ($8.75): We got this at 75% sweet as well. It is a matcha latte with matcha foam, matcha pudding, and matcha mochi. We were not huge fans of this one. The foam was really thick and creamy which made it hard to mix, and the drink had a strange taste that we think came from the flour on the matcha mochi. I think it would have been better if we had eaten the mochi off the top first before mixing everything together. Popcorn Chicken ($8.75): This was okay. They used a different type of batter than what I am used to and it was pretty bland. I didn't like the chili dipping sauce either. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is still way better to me. Mixed Soft Rice Paper With Full Topping / BT Phoi Suong Full Topping ($14): This was our first time having banh trang tron with dried meat and seafood toppings. It also came with a sliced hard boiled egg instead of quail eggs. Very interesting and different. I really wished it came with tamarind sauce because that was the one flavor I felt was missing and would have tied everything together. The portion size also felt a bit small for the price.

Normally you can lose the tea essence with the fruity and matcha flavors. We loved these. Will stop by again.

But we received a BOGO coupon in the mail, and sure enough we wanted to try them out again. When we got there, the bobarista happily accepted the coupon and took our order. I went for their Lychee Green Tea and P2 ordered their Uber Smoothie. It didn't take too long for our drinks to come out, around 5-7 minutes. We were seated on some comfy chairs, and the bobarista served our drinks to us. I think presentation-wise, they did a good job. They claim to have "beverage aesthetics" and I tend to agree. Does having good "beverage aesthetics" make a drink taste better? No, definitely not. We both thought our drinks weren't too bad, however. I had ordered my drink with 0% sugar but I added boba to mine. My drink also already came with lychee coconut, so the two toppings sweetened my drink naturally. P2 complained that her drink was still too sweet for her liking. We appreciated the service and the pleasant ambience inside. I took off a star because the drinks were just too expensive. Without a coupon, I don't think we would come back here with drinks costing $7-8 each!

I'm giving it two stars because I do like the drinks here, but otherwise, the place kind of sucks…read more I've had to wait 15-30 minutes for my drink (very simple milk tea) because they have awful time management, and only seem to work on one drink at a time instead of batching. So, if a drink needs to be steeped, they will wait until every drink in front of it has been finished to even start the 5-10 minute steeping process, instead of starting to steep the leaves while they work on blended drinks. Three employees wander around aimlessly while dozens of people wait for a single, simple drink. Most other boba places are able to get drinks out within a minute or two. What is your excuse? There is truly no reason for a single milk tea to take 30 minutes. Fix your training. EDIT: In response to the owner, I do understand that popularity will slow things down, but that wasn't what I was observing. It was a steady trickle of guests coming in every few minutes, and it seems like the crowd was created from congestion of orders stacking up at a higher rate in than they were going out. Orders were only being handed out every several minutes, and while I have also worked in food service/retail and understand having to take breaks and slow down sometimes, the employees seemed like they were just meandering about without a care in the world. I'm truly not sure why, at the very least, steeping wouldn't be started early. I go to a lot of boba places, and I've had many good friends who work (or worked) at boba places, even if I have not directly worked at one myself. The employee behavior was not like anything I've ever seen before.
