I cannot say enough good things about First Watch. The coffee was fantastic and the ceramic mugs are big. Good coffee and quality mugs are important! I had such a hard time deciding what to order because everything sounded amazing. I ended up getting the Tri Athlete breakfast and I was quite pleased with my decision. The food was so fresh. The thick multi grain toast with fresh preserves was so yummy and satisfying. It was a rainy morning; there were quite a few of us early birds waiting for the place to open and they graciously let us in early. Service was top-notch. My server brought me a cup so that I could take some coffee to go without having to ask. Even the choice of music was great - some Maroon 5, some Luke Bryan, some Kenny Wayne Shepherd giving the place a cool, laid-back, hip coffee house kind of vibe. I highly recommend!!! read more

Haven't been to first watch in years and the place is still good. The summer blush is amazing! Perfect drink for the summer. This location was actually packed on a Monday afternoon surprisingly. Food is really good but every time I go there (no matter what time or day) the wait time for the food is reeeeeaaallllyyyy long. Also a little pricey IMO. Worth it for me because I am gluten and dairy free and they have a lot of great breakfast options I can't find anywhere else. In fact, my Nana dines here nearly once a week. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. The food is always fresh, with some innovative touches to the typical cafe/diner style menu with a slant toward the *gasp* healthier side. They offer several daily specials, as well as a muffin of the day, free refills on sodas, happily accommodate special requests (I ask for only strawberries & blueberries when ordering my favorite Energy Bowl) and free substitutions (egg whites). I love love love that they serve the coffee in carafes, so that I don't have to wait for refills. The pancakes are huge (I've never ordered more than one) fluffy, served with whipped real butter & warm real maple syrup...absolutely delicious! I really wish First Watch was open for dinner, because breakfast for supper is pretty much the best thing ever. The best thing on the menu is the Floridean French Toast, without the wheat germ. It comes with strawberries, bananas and kiwi, with some blueberry compote on the side. The orange juice tastes fresh squeezed and according to my mom the coffee is "better than McDonalds coffee" which is actually pretty high praise from her. The kids menu had a wide selection, and my son really liked the chocolate chip pancakes. I would highly recommend First Watch, and especially this location. read more

I'll give a place 2 trys before rating them and my experiences at this location were underwhelming. My first visit started with an inattentive and unobservant server. Followed by an omelette that was less than half filled. It tasted great but you expect an omelette to be stuffed not flat. Our 2nd visit was yet another poor server, she didn't even introduce herself. Never got a refill on my drink but was offered one as I was putting my coat on to leave. We had to stop a different server to ask for to go boxes. As I was putting my food in the box I find a good sized piece of cardboard(like the kind from boxed food). Since I had already paid and didn't want to wait for the server to show up, we just left. In the end the service gets a 0 and the food gets a 2. I will not be returning or recommending anyone to this location. read more

We dined on a Saturday morning on Valentines Day weekend. Ray was our server. We arrived at 850 and seated before 9AM. We were first seated at a cold air table that a couple just got up and moved from. Then sat in the back corner below a cold air duct. Finally arriving at a more suitable table. Correct those and this would be a 5. Coffee was hot and fresh with flavored creamers available on the table. My wife for the first time, had to let her tea cool before drinking:). Lots of tea flavors were brought to the table in a nice basket display. We ordered the Tri-Fecta, and an omelette. Our server's menu knowledge helped me decide between the Killer Cajun Omelette, or the Chickichanga, which he could have the kitchen prepare as an omelette if I desired. Both of our orders included special instructions. Our meals arrived in a prompt timely fashion by an expediter. Ray quickly showed up to confirm the order was correct. The meals were exact. Nothing needed to go back. You may have read previous reviews of mine where I complain of food not being HOT. This was far from the case. The food tasted great. The omlette was light and fluffy. Not overcooked, or over stuffed all at one end. My wife declared that her waffle was among her favorites to date. All our spcial requests were met. The interior was clean and simply decorated. The staff looked neat and clean with smiles and no loud kitchen chatter. It's been over 5 years since we have been to a First Watch, based on distance. We now have a renewed intrest in adding them to our weekend breakfast rotation. We did not see the restroom, but we did see an employee walking the building exterior sweeping up any debris that may diminish the customers view thru the spacious clean windows. For the healthy crowd, they offer at NO CHARGE cholesterol free, or egg white substitutions. They also had better than 7 healthy menu items as well. If I had to add a change, it would be that they appear in the Entertainment Book, to introduce themselves to new patrons. It's been awhile since I had been to a First Watch and, after dropping the cat off for a dental visit, we wandered over here for the aforementioned pancakes. Wednesday mornings are a great time to visit, we didn't have to wait to be seated and our food came out promptly. We both ended up with 2 bacon cheddar pancakes. I completely forgot how huge the pancakes are and regretted that I wasn't able to finish them all. Note to self: order ONE pancake next time. But, there was large, crispy bacon pieces in the pancakes and the OJ was cold. It was a great start to my day. This place is always packed on the weekends so I doubt I'll show up very regularly but, if I have day off, weekdays may be my favorite time to visit. read more

On our way out of town, we decided to stop here for breakfast with my in-laws. at 10am, for 10 people, we were told there was going to be a 15 minute wait. They were right. I was pleasantly surprised that 1. the wait was so short and 2. they seated us even though our party was incomplete. I ordered a veggie skillet and, short of lacking a lot of salt, it was pretty good. They don't crowd the skillet too much and use 2 eggs, just perfect for my stomach. The onions were not over cooked, and the veggies still had a crisp to them. Overall, our server was really friendly and quick on his feet. The gravy was WAY over peppered and had some weird spice in it, like way too much sage or something similar to sage. Sausage tasted strange, hardest skin on the outside (like an orange peel) and nothing redeeming inside. My son always dislikes their food and he's easy to please (he eats everything), but I was on that side of town so it was convenient. Never again. If I had the funding, I'd open up a real breakfast place with grandma's gravy and biscuits and my mom's omelets. We need one badly in this area! read more

I was trying this place out because I am new to the area and it was recommended. I ordered an omelette and I was half way through it when I noticed a strand of hair was cooked into the top of it. I called the waitress and she said that it looked like dog hair. I reluctantly asked for a new one. First Watch used to be my favorite place and I don't know if it's this location or all locations but they totally changed the menu and devastated me. They no longer have the Reuben and they changed the delicious square potatoes! No longer are they brown and crispy on the outside, they are just the inside middle mushy part. The brown crispy outside was the best part! The service is great, always has been but I'm just not a fan of the new menu at all. I was at a different First Watch in downtown Cincy back in March and they had the old menu so I don't know if it recently changed or what....but I'm sad and probably won't be back :( read more
