Had a great experience here with the family on vacation! We are here 3/4 mornings due to the menu selections and quality of food, ambiance and staff who were very accommodating to our small family. Loved the egg sandwich! So delicious! Oatmeal was great for the little ones - I wish they had a children's option as $8 seems steep for oatmeal. Chickenchanga was also delicious. Great flavor especially w a few splashes of hot sauce. The coffee was hot but mediocre. Lemon ricotta pancakes were HUGE - way too much for even 2 people (who are somewhat watching what they eat) The potatoes were dry and gritty... I'm personally a fan of hash browns and lament that those were not an option. Go for the fruit bowl side instead - your gut will thank you :) Early bird gets the worm! read more

My visit here had its pros and cons. It was a Sunday around 11 and during summer hours. I was somewhat annoyed at how long it took us to be seated. But it was understandable due to the summer peak. After we were finally seated, our waitress immediatly tended to us and got our coffee and water. She was wonderful, so attentive and kind. The kitchen was a bit slow, probably due to the high amount of orders being sent back. It did take a good while to get our food. Once we received our food, everything was correct and tasted great. I personally wasn't fond of my scrambled eggs, but they were cooked correctly. I will try fried next time. The waffle came with some blueberry spread and it was so good together. Make sure you get bacon when you go, because i do recommend it. My mother went with me and had a blueberry pancake and it was HUGE and loaded with fresh blueberries. She said her meal was perfect, and shes usually one to find SOMETHING to complain about. I would definitely return here, but would try to go earlier or to go on a day where i wouldn't mind waiting as much. read more

Have always enjoyed this location--the food is consistently good. Quality is lacking in some Of the staff. Our server was great. The hostess was not friendly, to say the least. I attempted to be extremely nice hoping that would improve her piss-poor demeanor---no such luck. Even after I gave her the third thank you--I barely got a glance. No your welcome or smile--- I guess when employees are in demand, employers can't be too choosy read more

Whenever I go to first watch in Destin I always order a water with ice water and 2 for you which I order Avocado chopped Chicken salad and roast beef and havarti sandwich. The sandwich comes with sauteed onions sun dried tomatoes and cheese. On the salad it comes with corn picante and blue corn chips and yes black beans. With a dressing. Like a vinegarette. But the sandwich comes with a side of Dijon mustard. Normally weekends there's a wait. read more

Four solid stars because the service was a bit slow and we had to ask for things more than twice. But It is possible to eat a balanced diet while on vacation. I ordered the omelette, egg whites only without cheese and add zucchini... not a single objection and that makes me so happy! Plus. They have GF options with Udis toast. I haven't had toast in so long that was a treat! Morning meditation fresh juices including beet, turmeric and ginger. Perfection. This place is a gem! Coffee is wonderful and hot! Why are you reading this and not at First Watch? Seriously, skip ass the tourist traps on restaurant row and get you for first watch. Everything is spectacular. Too be honest, when I walked in and saw the inside, I thought it would be like any other breakfast spot but as soon as I looked at the menu I could tell it was different. Not that the place wasn't clean, it was very clean, but it was kinda basic in decor. I appreciate the health conscious options! Love the juice bar and the Million Dollar Bacon is a must. Our server was amazing and I'm looking forward to going back. I do wish they had a bigger coffee menu, however. read more

I wish this spot was nation wide because I would eat here in every state! The serving sizes are big and I love that because I can eat some later ( although I had nothing left I was hungry) I had the traditional breakfast it came with wheat toast & preserves, choice of meat (I chose chicken sausage), 2 eggs I got mine fried hard, and potatoes. I added a side of cheese grits but honestly they didn't meet my expectations being from the south. I also had the house coffee which also didn't meet my expectations, BUT they had dairy free creamer so that was a plus. We had a wonderful server named Sherry, who we enjoyed I know 7 people were so annoying with our request because we didn't see if we had everything we wanted at one time but she stuck it out with us! 8/10 would recommend this spot for breakfast. I am hoping we go back for lunch one of these days. read more

Everything I've tried here is AMAZING. Im a local & lived here 3 years before I stumbled on this lil hidden gem. Love the Chorizo omelet, and their toast is amazzzzzing. I always receive really great servers here too, genuinely warm greeting when you walk in. (Rather than the stressed out frazzled look you receive from most brunch places around here during tourist season) read more

I love First watch but unfortunately this location was not it. My boyfriend and I are on vacation and came to this location for a nice brunch. I was excited to show him the Kale tonic which is one of my favorite juices of all time. My main issue with our visit was the kitchen. It took over 40 minutes to get our food and when it finally came out it was only mine. He ordered a 1/2 salad and 1/2 sandwhich so I don't know why it took so long. I watched another server take his food to the wrong table which caused them to have to remake the food. It took another 20 minutes for him to get his 1/2 SANDWHICH. Our server (Riley) was sweet but she didn't introduce herself and in my opinion she didn't communicate with us enough. I had to ask the table next to us for her name. We would have been far more understanding if we weren't left in the dark. Overall, the kitchen needs a better system. read more

I really love their fall menu. I absolutely love the pumpkin pancakes and their butternut bisque. Also, I love their chicken patties for breakfast instead of bacon. This Destin location gets pretty busy during peak season, I recommend going on their website and getting on the list before you arrive. The staff is great, the food is soooo good, chefs/cooks are great, and between management and servers they actually have some of the best service and cleanliness in the area. I've been here a few times. (The fact that I keep returning is related to the five star rating.). The food is wonderful--delicious and healthy. The people there are so helpful, whether I dine in or take out. It's always clean and inviting. The servers are friendly and efficient. The manager I met was lovely--I honestly thought she was the Hostess because she was nice to both customers and servers. (She looks young.). The Tangerine Dream is heavenly, the Floridian french toast is very tasty, and the eggs benedict is done to perfection. Everything is served in a timelyl manner. So, I highly recommend this place. The prices are reasonable, but I guarantee that you'll want to leave a good tip. read more

We love a great breakfast and have eaten at First Watch in Austin and in Overland Park and they were both great. This one was no exception. It seemed to have an even better breakfast selection than the other two. I had the Parma hash and million dollar bacon, my wife had the eggs benedict and the lemon muffin. Well 1/3 restaurant is open tables. Have at least one busser. There's four to five w/w. We have sat at table for 22 minutes (11:20 am Friday). Nothing, no coffee, nothing. Maybe we are the wrong skin color or it's the USA on my lapel or age? Walked out after 24 minutes. Waitresses looked at us a few times. We brag on FW all over USA. Tomorrow or Sunday we will maybe try and bring a family member in a wheelchair and see how that goes. read more

We kept breakfast simple with eggs, bacon, potatoes, and grits. We had actually meant to order the lobster grits, but somehow ended up with the regular grits instead. No complaints, though--they were really good, and as a Southern girl, I know not everyone gets grits right. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and we'd definitely come back the next time we're in Destin.

The food was good, the holey donuts were crispy and the jam was a nice addition to it. I also got an elevated egg sandwich, it was pleasant, but it felt like something i could make at home. I got potatoes along side my meal, they felt overseasoned. They would've been good if they didn't season it so much. The service was okay. They served us a little slow, but overall not too much to complain about. The drinks came fast and with a water glass to refill your water which was pleasant. The atmosphere was nice, it felt not too busy and I liked the almost rustic design of the place. The tables were also well spaced out so it didn't feel too overcrowded or secluded. As long-time locals we love First Watch and come here regularly. However, our recent experiences have left us disappointed due to a noticeable decline in service quality. We have been served by an employee named Christal twice within a period of 2 months, and on both occasions service was far below our expectations. Her approach could best be described as bare minimum. She barely engaged with us, spoke sparingly, and seemed absolutely disinterested in ensuring our dining experience was enjoyable. We've frequented many First Watch restaurants in South Florida and this one is not on par, inconsistent at best. We've patronized this location a hundred times and since our regular waitress (Kristen) left, we've sat unattended for 15 minutes or more waiting to order coffee. I'm unsubscribing from First Watches emails so the occasional coupon won't entice us to return. I can't understand why a conscientious customer who tips 25% would be treated this way.. read more
