The less-than-stellar reviews on here all seem to be lamenting the fact that this is no longer The Egg and I. They are right - it's about 10 times better than The Egg and I. The family visited on a recent Saturday morning and we thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our meal. I had the Market Veggie skillet, as did my son. I added an order of cheese grits. The food arrived hot, cooked to perfection, and delicious. The potatoes were seasoned well, and obviously were not from under a heat lamp, as they tasted fresh and tender rather than hard and dry. I've found most breakfast places seem to have a hard time with either country potatoes or hash browns, but I'm delighted to report that First Watch has it all figured out. It was just a wonderful breakfast, and I'm looking forward to visiting again. read more

UPDATE: I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Yelp Brunches So Hard event at First Watch recently, and I accepted (just to do my Grandpa Joe imitation). I got to meet the local Yelp community manager Matt C. (So new from Florida, his skin hasn't dried out yet!) as well as take my wife out for food I KNOW she'll like. We started w/ Million Dollar Bacon (although it's on sale for 99.99999% off) - imo a well-balanced combination of savory and sweet. Then, Avocado toast - I'm not a millennial so this isn't my go-to, but they do load up on the avocado. Ahhh, a juice course and it's Morning Meditation. I would order a bucket of this if possible. I skipped the Mushroom Frittata, as 'shrooms are my kryptonite and stole my wife's Roast Beef w/ Havarti. Excellent! I had tanked up at this point, and so I took the Lemon Ricotta pancakes home for breakfast, where they made for a satisfying mid morning torpor. The swag bag was a neat touch. And thank you so much to the First Watch staffers who came out on their night off to minister to us. I will reiterate that as First Watch, this place is now upper echelon FoCo breakfast. Came you breakfast based on the location - found a place I'd drive 100 miles to eat at again. Lemon ricotta pancake was light as air, topped with lemon curd and fresh fruit. Husband had the blueberry pancake which was also excellent. The decor is subtle and very clean. Our server, Shannon, delightful. read more

First Watch is the new name of the old Egg and I restaurants. They updated the interior design this year to modern farmhouse style and it's very cute. The menu is varied and everything tastes great. I love coming here after church with friends for a great meal. read more

If you want bland, lukewarm food, way too loud music even in the early morning then this your place. I have have hundreds upon hundreds of eggs Benedict in my life, and this was the worst. If my eyes had been closed I'd have had no idea of what I was eating, and even had salmon on it. Not good. Not spoiled, so I'll give them that, but just so not worth the time, money, or calories. I even had earbuds in to try and drown out the music, and had I been with someone we would have had a hard time talking. First time in a First Watch. Most certainly the last. read more

We just saw this restaurant in a Yelp search and decided to try it because it was new. The food was very good. The menu has a good mix of unique and traditional offerings. The SoCal breakfast burrito was one of the best burritos I have had - full of flavor(not to mention it is healthy)! Wife had the Trifecta- waffle, egg, and bacon - and was very satisfied ( I didn't even get a bite). The coffee was excellent- direct from their partnership in Columbia, even though we had a hard time getting real half and half (plenty of dairy free options). I was here with a group of about 8, some local to the area and some from other parts of the world. The reason I bring that up is because things like avocado toast don't always translate to foreign taste buds but you know what does? Good service and good food. This place delivers on both. We had a lot of different stuff so I don't want to get into "we had this and that" but everything we had was delicious. On top of that, the serving sizes are more than fair and really allow you to get nice and full. I am a voracious eater and even with that said, I can tell you I was happy and full. If you go to First Watch and don't get their Million Dollar Bacon, you are doing life wrong. It is amazing!! We tried a bunch of different items off the menu. My favorite juice was the Kale Tonic. Delicious and refreshing! The lemon ricotta pancakes are a piece of heaven. The Roast Beef and Havarti sandwich was very tasty. The roast beef was the most tender I have ever had. The food is always very good here. The criticism that I have is that once my order is taken and my food delivered, I never see the server again. Every time I have eaten here, the waiter disappears. I don't know if management tells them not to go back and check on the customer but I always have to flag someone down if I need something. But I do have a couple of gripes - A) Why is there no green chili on the menu? I mean you're a breakfast joint in Colorado. Get it together and offer green chili. Convenient next to both Marriott hotels we grabbed a quick bite before departing for the airport. The service was outstanding, the food was tasty with a good variety for breakfast and lunch. The atmosphere was bright and cheery among the covid pandemic. There is seating outside but the modern farm house decor was homey. They offer healthier options and gluten free eats for those with better eating habits. (I'm trying to strive for that). The couple of little things that make it stand out for me is the carafe of coffee so we could top off our our own coffees and the division of each persons meal so if a group of friends come it's easy to decipher who owes what and no one sticking someone else for their part (we've all experienced that friend). Try to miss the church crowd between 10 and 11:30, it gets very busy. Great last meal before departing Fort Collins, but we will be back. Stay safe, safe well and eat great food. read more

Went there today for bunch! I ordered the Americana hash SO GOOD! my wife ordered the oatmeal which came with the muffin of the day. Everything was great. I wasn't particularly impressed with my meal at First Watch. The food was adequate, but relatively basic and overpriced. Menu does not easily cater to vegan, dairy-free, or gluten free dietary needs without significant revision to existing menu items. For the same prices you pay here, you could get a far superior meal from a local eatery. read more

Our family of seven (4 generations) from Texas ate at First Watch for breakfast while traveling to Wyoming and South Dakota for Fall Break. I love the fall menu at First Watch and the Pumpkin Pancake did not disappoint. We also had the Churros, the Traditional, the French Toast and the Egg Sandwich and all of these dishes were very good also. I love First Watch's coffee! And to make it even better they had the pumpkin spice creamer! The servers were great also and food was served quickly! The restaurant was clean along with the clean bathrooms. The only negative I have about this location is the bathroom water...they have a little sign on the mirror stating the water is very hot... But there needs to be something done about the temperature of the water as two members of our family scalded our hands because the water was so extremely HOT!!! We enjoyed this location so much, we had breakfast here again on our way back home! Definitely recommend! read more

This place is great. Would have given it 5 stars if this wasn't my first visit and I logically could only try a couple things. :) . Atmosphere is nice and open. Staff were friendly, service was fast, food was great! I had the AM Superfoods Bowl. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!! Also got the morning meditate juice.....I'm not a fan of beets but the mixture of that with other juices was really refreshing. Got two sandwiches and the veggie sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. The nutrient grain bread was insanely delicious and fresh, the sauce on the vegetables was really good, and the bread was lightly fried in butter. We ordered (door dash) from here for the first time and, OMG, it is so so delicious. The food is high quality and beautifully presented (even for delivery). Fresh squeezed OJ, blueberry muffin the size of my head, potatoes seasoned to perfection, and the million dollar bacon is to die for. We are definitely repeat customers now.
