Tri-fecta: waffle, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and coffee.

First Watch is another chain I'm obsessed with! The food and staff are incredible at each location. I always get the tri-fecta, and it's never been bad! The waitress saw me with a book and was very quiet to approach me and avoided un-necessary interruptions. She told me she didn't want to break up my reading in any good spots, and I really appreciated that.

Our family of six flew into town for a quick weekend visit to the Ft. Collins area. Friday morning, 10:00am and the breakfast hungries set in. A quick Yelp search turned up First Watch which was just what we were looking for. I went with a special, the Barbacoa Benedict. Served on corn tortillas this unique "South of the border" take on a Benny featured Hollandaise and also salsa, along with a mildly spiced Barbacoa meat which I believe was pork. Wife N had their pancakes with lemon curd which were great. Side of perfectly crispy bacon. Son's "The Works" Omelette was excellent. Coming from Portland, our impressions are that the food quality was great (equal or better) and pricing is excellent for the quality. Very happy with First Watch, and we'll be back again for more yummies!

Another 5-star visit this week. I like the warm feel inside this First Watch. I lingered for a long while waiting for my breakfast date and my server was gracious and kind. Set me up with a carafe of coffee and water. Once my person arrived, we placed our order and it was delivered quickly since we had limited time at that point. More coffee, more friendly smiles... great food! I ordered the A.M. Superfoods Bowl for the first time. It was delicious! If chia seed pudding is your jam, this menu option is filling and a great presentation of such a breakfast. Yum!

First Watch was a fine stop for breakfast. The variety of selections was fantastic! We both are very well. The service was great too, but the space certainly has a chain restaurant vibe. Overall no complaints!

We don't make it here much because I'm a night owl and they're usually closed by the time we're ready to leave the house, but when we make it, it's a treat. We've tried several things here and it's all been really tasty. Been here a few times and we've never left disappointed or hungry. We went here on Saturday because we needed to be out and about early (for me) and knew First Watch is where we wanted to go. I got the Roast Beef and Havarti sandwich, subbed in a chocolate chip muffin instead of the greens, no onions. My spouse got The Works and got it made frittata style, no onions or sour cream; spouse also got one plain pancake. Super delicious and filling. I hope we can make it back again soon because it's really delicious, hearty food.

This is tied for my favorite breakfast/brunch place in Fort Collins. This location is very clean, and less crowded (shorter waits) than other places as you get closer to old town. The food is excellent with good portion sizes and reasonable prices. I had the special short rib Benedict. Which is exactly what I wanted...meaty, savory perfection. The arugula is a surprisingly good addition to this dish and makes me feel less guilty about eating the dish. I sampled my wife's truffle frittata and it was really good. I never got a 2nd nite because she inhaled it and claims it was the best thing she's eaten. The service was very attentive and courteous. The good came out hot and promptly. We never felt rushed. It was a perfect brunch! I'm looking forward to coming back.

First Watch took over all the Egg & I's here in Fort Collins and they're like a hipster IHOP. I love it. The juices are so delicious! They were handing out free samples when we were there. The service was incredible, we had the most charming and personable server who was cracking jokes and being so hospitable the whole time. He was offering all kinds of substitutions to make sure we had the perfect breakfast experience. The food was delicious as well. The pancakes were the perfect balance of fluffy and crispy. I'll be returning!

We recently had a chance to check First Watch out when we were shopping in the area on Black Friday. Based on other reviewers mentioning how busy they get, we were pleasantly surprised to find it pretty empty when we visited and we were able to go right in and be seated. The seating areas are clean and bright and have a fresh, modern farmhouse decor feel to them. In addition to table and booth seating, they also offer a large family style table where anyone can sit and mingle with other diners which I thought was nice. I had an order of Avocado Toast with a side of Seasoned Potatoes. My son had the Market Skillet and my hubby had the Market Skillet with a side of Cheesy Bob's Red Mill Grits. Our server was friendly and our food came out fast. Everything was cooked to perfection. Even our eggs were hot and runny as they should have been which I find is a challenge for most breakfast places to execute. We all enjoyed our meal and left satisfied. We will definitely eat here again. Just wish they were open later. With our schedule, it's a challenge for us to make it to breakfast/brunch places, so we probably won't get to eat here as often as we'd like :).

We got the chicken pot pie, quarter rotisserie chicken, and salmon quinoa cakes. Rotisserie chicken is a must order! Very juicy and delicious. Eh. Over recent years, I've had very hit and miss experiences at the downtown Austin's. Yesterday…read morewas another disappointing miss. We stopped in for a late lunch, arriving around 2. We started with a beer for my husband and a mocktail for me. The mocktail (blueberry lemonade) was simply not worth the $7 price tag. Mostly ice - filled to the literal rim of the glass. So full when I took one of my first sips, ice fell to the floor. There was just a splash of ginger beer; it could've used more but, alas, no room with all that ice! When I mentioned it to the server, she explained that's how they make them. She offered to bring me another, but it seemed clear she meant I'd be paying for it. No thank you. Next, my food. I tried the salmon burger (new to the menu, I'm told) which is actually a salmon croquette on a bun with some lettuce and vinaigrette. It's HUGE and not in a good way. The first few bites were okay, and I thought the heavily breaded effect was due to biting into the edge. As I continued eating, though, most bites felt like a mouthful of bread. I can only hope there was minced salmon in it, but the ratio was so heavy on breadcrumbs that I couldn't detect it. Not the slightest hint of pink on the inside either. I ate about 1/2, my hungry hub finished it. The flaws of the salmon burger didn't seem worth pointing out to the server after the response I got with the drink. Later, as we walked around downtown, I felt like I had a lead sandwich in my stomach. My husband had a better experience than I. His bison burger came out great. No complaints. Unfortunately for me, I think I'll just have to order very specific things when coming here now. Austin's has sentimental value for me - it's the first place we dined after moving here 27 years ago. Because of that, I keep giving them second chances after they fall short. I just wish they'd return to the days of "you can't go wrong", everything is awesome.

Wait, how is it we've eaten here three times and I haven't yet written a review? Let's get that…read morefixed! Wife N and I are in Fort Collins on what is becoming an annual trip. Saturday evening 7:30 found us in a Moot House booth. For a start we ordered the beet salad. Menu says roasted beets but we think these tasted boiled or steamed. That said, they were perfectly cooked, adorning a mixed green salad. I probably would call this a mixed green salad with beets, rather than a beet salad. Greens made up 80% of it. Still a decent salad. For mains, I ordered their Fish and Chips (2 and 3-piece available) and she ordered the Parmesan Sea Bass. The fish and chips were great, crisp, not greasy, and the shoestring fries were fantastic. Sea bass was tasty, Parmesan crusted and pan seared with charred lemon and capers on it. Yum! In prior visits we've had their wedge salad, Brussels sprouts, Reuben, Caesar salad and a few other items. Some better than others (loved the Brussels!) but all were above average for the price. See you next year!

The potatoes were by far the star of the show; the ham was fine. The mustard sauce was good. It was it was a lovely meal. We also had the artichoke dip to start and it was actually very good. It was creamy and cheesy and I would've almost just had a whole bowl of that. My table mates had the Parmesan Seabass, which was a hit and the burger, which was a solid burger. I have a feeling that this is a place where people go for drinks as most of the tables around us had cocktails but I can't speak to those. We did notice several mocktails on the menu which is always great! Wheelchair accessibility: there is some lot and street parking with accessible spaces close by. The front door is heavy and so you'll probably need somebody to help you open it, and the spaces between the tables can be a little tight although there is both seating on the patio and inside that would be accessible for wheelchair users. The bathroom door isn't too heavy and there is a large accessible stall.
