Heard about this place from a friend. Place is clean. Lots of spots to sit in doors or out. It's obvious staff take pride in most of what they do. We ordered a quesadilla and an omelette. BEC and Greek. Beans in the quesadilla tasted old and funky. Not like scratch beans at all. Tortilla would have been better made from scratch. Tasted store bought and old. Omelette was meh. Staff is great but our server was super friendly until he found out we were from Denver and house hunting in Ft Collins. Then he seemed annoyed and it got a little weird. Cinnamon roll was good and tasted slightly more homemade. Overall it was ok but not memorable. read more

This is a small cafe, and is proud to be a "Farm to Table" Eatery. They have Quiche's, Burgers. Burritos, Salads, and Breakfasts. I decided to have the Spinach Quiche, a Biscuit, and a Mocha. The Quiche was good, as was the Mocha. The Biscuit was, unfortunately, tough and small , so I only had a bite. Their Cinnamon Rolls are Huge. I also got a slice of Apple Pie, to go, which was also very small. I would go back, but probably order a Breakfast, as they were a nice size serving. My husband loved his food. No complaints from him. I ordered the Beef Dip and it wasn't what I expected. It didn't say on the menu that it was grilled so I was expecting the typical Beef Dip. I have a very difficult time with greasy food. This was that way. I ate it anyway and paid the price. I got very sick afterwards. Lesson learned. read more

It was a really busy Saturday morning at the BP Cafe when we showed up. Big parking lot disguised it. My daughter and I dropped in before continuing our move out from her house. Coffee was excellent and fresh. Maybe because they were really busy or maybe they were just they knew I needed quality caffeine. Eggs and bacon were awesome. Love the way they do their scrambled eggs. Toast is also first rate. Breakfast potatoes had a great mix of seasoning. Not sure what it was but it was good. The only suggestion would be on the veggie omelette, please cook the veggies with the eggs. Service was 6 stars. All three ladies working checked in us at one point. Great team!! Wow! what a great experience and super delicious food! We hadn't been to the Backporch Cafe in a while and came back today (Friday AM). The young man who greeted and seated us was extremely friendly and we were in our seats in less than a minute. We sat right by the window and it was a great location on a beautiful, sunny winter morning. Our server, Regina, was right there to take our order and get our coffee. While we waited a short amount of time the Chef/Owner popped out of the kitchen to welcome us and ask how we were doing. It is really neat to hear from him and hear his enthusiasm he has for his food, service and the restaurant in general. Overall we had a great experience and a wonderful breakfast. We'll certainly be coming back regularly. I can't wait to try more items on the menu and get lunch too! P.s. Back Porch Cafe -- What a darling little find! I worked 11 years in fine dining in Manhattan where customers are very demanding so I sure know what to look for in a dining experience. Food Value: Variety, taste, and price are all top quality! Burger Platter with a large burger and fries that are crispy but still taste like potatoes. AND when I sent back the burger for a little more fire, rather than coming out over done, it was excellent with an extra slice of cheese and a visit from one of the owners to insure it was to my liking -- well yes, thank you! My girlfriend had a Salad with Salmon she said was great and a slice of Dessert Pie that looked spectacular -- not exaggerating! Service: Kind and attentive! Ambience: With a lovely garden setting for outdoor dining today (9/27/24) was our second visit. I only wish I lived within walking distance -- I'd try everything on their menu! I have seen this cafe many times and heard it was good. Decided to go with a friend for lunch and check it out. She happens to have to use a walker and it was a bit of a challenge to get her to the restaurant side of the building. We did find a ramp on the side where they have retail and knitting studio. You then have to wind your way through a few room to get to the cafe. Lots to look at on the way ! We sat at a nice table by the window and started with a iced coffee cappuccino. They serve breakfast and lunch. Many good choices for either meal. We had a burger w/ grilled onion and mushroom on a sesame bun. Side of fries...... seasoned and crispy! Also, had the Cobb salad with blue cheese dressing. Was a very good, fresh salad with mixed greens and all the good stuff that comes with a Cobb. There were sandwiches, wraps and a yummy sounding quesadilla. To end our meal, we shared the bourbon pecan pie! Oh my! Get a slice :-) Great place for breakfast or lunch . Very refreshing for the manager to come to our table to take accountability for eggs not cooked like requested. (twice) and to attempt to make it right for us. Our server tried very hard to ignore us after our food came. I actually had to take my plate to him to return it. Poached medium means NO runny white stuff! I didn't even care if they were poached hard and stated so a couple times. We had to request a refill on water (the cafe is very warm) and they filled it with luke warm water. Until this visit we were always impressed with portion size. Very small portions this time. Not worth the money spent. Thank you to the manager for speaking with us though. We always come with a large group (today 17 in our party). We had a 10:15a "reservation" and were finally sat around 10:45a. Once sat, it was smooth sailing! The server was speedy, attentive, competent, and made sure everything was great. I ordered something very special...Huevos Rancheros with Avo, Sour Cream, and chorizo. Then I added smoky pulled pork on the inside. That pulled pork is fantastic!!! My friends' sombrero burrito was also good and the eggs over easy came out perfect on the biscuits and gravy. The restaurant seems to be handling COVID well and things were cleaner than I remember. We went to go have a hangover brunch at another cafe, but the wait would have been too long. We found ourselves over at Backporch, also nervous about the wait. While the wait was a little less than the place prior, we were able to order drinks at the bar, and were greeted by the friendliest worker. He hooked us up with some lattes and orange juice in a chilled glass. Delicious. He started telling us how he curated everything on the menu and assured us that if we didn't like anything in there, that he'd pay for it. He gave us the drinks on the house, and proceeded to heat up a house baked cinnamon roll made that day. He talked about how they honor hard work with his employees and staff and we asked about his story. I will be coming here as long as it's open. Great place! read more

We first tried another place in Fort Collins, but they had a 45 minute wait on a Wednesday morning, and that's why we ended up here. Boy am I glad we did. Upon being seated, we were offered drinks, and "up sold" the group into Bloody Marys and Mimosas. Within 20 min of being seated, our party of 9 were served. From omelettes, to waffles, to kids chicken tenders and quesadillas, the food was great. My wife got what she refers to as the "best chicken fried steak" ever. Overall, between the plates, drinks, ambiance, and speediness of the staff, this place was a family favorite. We should be back soon. read more

The overall experience was definitely 5 stars! The food was beyond delicious! French toast with thick bacon slices and 2 perfect eggs for me. My companion had fried potatoes, rye toast and his eggs were perfect also. Our lattes were hot, creamy and delicious! The first time I went there I was very impressed. So when my family came into town I was excited to take them there. My sister ordered biscuits and gravy and the amount of gravy was pathetic. We asked the waitress if we could get a little more gravy and was told it would be an additional 3.00. Seriously I've never ordered biscuits and gravy where the gravy didn't cover the biscuits. When we were told it was 3.00 I told them there wasn't very much on there to begin with and they said they'd have to check with management so we said never mind. The waitress took it back and I could over hear someone saying they put 2 scoops on it. They did end up bringing a tiny bit more gravy but still not barely enough. The patio is gorgeous. However the food was all clearly frozen food including what I believe to be Arbys fries. My husband ordered a wrap that he said tasted pre-made and had no sauce. It was very dry. My son and I had cheeseburgers and they were mushy. We waited a LONG time for our food and she finally came out and said it would be another 10 minutes.
