I was surprised, in a good way. We have eaten at various First Watch Cafe's for over 20 years now. Their food has always been well done and fresh made. However, on this visit, it seemed like the two old favorites have been tweaked to make them more flavorful. Not a crazy change, but definitely more bold flavor profiles. The service was excellent. The ambiance has changed over the decades with the barnboard chic that is the theme these days is very tastefully done. A bit loud due to the layout and construction, but not deafening. read more

Stopped in for breakfast while in the area. If on a road trip, First Watch is not far off the highway. There's plenty of parking. We were promptly seated and kindly greeted by our server. She was very attentive throughout our meal. The inside had a high ceiling and comfortable seating. The decor was "modern farmhouse" (I just made that up) and pleasing. I believe I saw outside seating, too. Most breakfast items were in the $10-$14 range. My husband and I chose the breakfast sandwich which came with a nice bun, choice of cheese, bacon, and greens. The egg was cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were well seasoned. Our daughter had the avocado toast. Again, the eggs were not overcooked and came out just runny enough! So many places do not know how to cook an egg that I appreciate when seeing a restaurant do it well! We were all pleased with the food and service and said we'd dine at First Watch again. read more

All around great restaurant for what it is promoted as, breakfast and brunch. But the dishes are not boring, it seems each one has its own unique twist. I noticed four servers on shift and they all appeared to be hustling without looking stressed. I ordered the Classic Benny with grits and a side of berries. Coffee is solid, this is a huge factor for me. A little too hot and humid but the outdoor area would be a great place hang in better conditions. On Tuesday, March 10, I took a friend of mine to first watch for breakfast after leaving the airport. I was excited for her to try it because I had been to one in the Tampa area and enjoyed it very much. Our experience here in Fort Myers was much different. The two of us were seated at a table for six which was odd considering there were tables for two available, but that was all right. There were two random cups sitting haphazardly on the table and before we received our coffee we asked for clean cups. The waitress was Very hesitant to comply with our request, saying that the tables were pre-set. Does that fact that they were only 2 cups at a table for six and nothing else on the table gave us pause and we insisted on the clean cups. Our waitress response was "you're killing me here." Our intention was not to be unreasonable, but just to know that we were getting clean coffee cups. Strike one. When the coffee came and she went to fill our cups, she gave us each a third of a cup of coffee. When we asked for more, she explained that she's not allowed to give us any more than that but that she would leave the carafe with us, which she did however the carafe was empty when we went to pour more coffee. Strike 2. We placed our order and my friend ordered her English muffin DRY and when it came saturated with butter she asked for the issue to be corrected. Our waitress appeared to be offended, even though in our mind, it wasn't anything that she did wrong. It was clearly the kitchen that didn't read the ticket properly. My sourdough toast that I had ordered was late getting to the table; they said it would be out shortly. When it came, it was not toasted at all, just smeared with butter. I asked for it to be corrected and again, the waitress was clearly frustrated with my request. It was halfway through my mail before the toast came back to which she put it on the table and said to me sarcastically, "how is this? I put it down twice this time" From that point on she never came back to the table of her own accord. I stopped her on her way by to try to smooth things over with her but her response was "my name will be on your receipt" As we paid for our meal before leaving, the girl at the cash register was sarcastically sweet and you all know what that means. The only pleasant part about this experience was the gentleman who intermittently became involved in small ways. He had a good sense of humor and clearly he was there for the guests positive experience. First Watch has beautiful decor, and it's very comfortable there. The price for a breakfast meal range around $15. The customer service on this particular day with this particular person was sub par at best. Strike When we left, we were more than upset with our service and the response we were given to simple requests and believe that Kiera could benefit from additional training in communication and customer service. Will not visit this location again when I have guests in town. read more

we got breakfast. fruit bowl was made incorrectly and instead of remaking it they brought another bowl with all the fruit they forgot, even though there was fruit in the bowl that we did not want or ask for. When I lived in Estero, I used to come here fairly regularly with friends. I came in for the first time in years this weekend, and it did not disappoint. I had a short wait (~20 mins) on a Saturday, but once I was seated my order was taken and the food came out quickly. The iced coffee is incredibly good (rich and complex without any harsh acidity), and the trifecta was solid. Overall definitely recommend coming in if you're in the area! read more

After arriving in Ft Myers on a early morning flight, breakfast was the logical be choice. Found First Watch on yelp and off we went. Images looked really good and the restaurant was close to the airport. Restaurant is nicely setup and a busy crowd. Many choices on menu with other healthier options. Greeted by waitress and placed our order. Unfortunately after the food runners delivered our order our waitress stop back as soon as the plates dropped to ask us how everything is, and that was the last she stopped at table until she came by to drop the check on table and instructed us to pay at the hostess station. Had our waitress taken the time to check on us a few minutes after the meals was delivered I would have been able to let her know my eggs that I ordered over easy was not what was delivered and my dish was extremely salty as well. So I had to suffered thru my breakfast and which I barely ate and yet when she collected the plates and 3/4 of my meal was not eaten she never even bother to ask if there was anything wrong with my meal. First watch is my go to brunch chain and for good reason! Each one I have been to has never missed the mark for me. I went there with my mother-in-law and had a great time. We came in on a Monday morning and were seated immediately. I always love going on weekdays as opposed to weekends since it is much less crowded. My MIL ordered the Bacado omelette and I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was exactly what I had expected and it came out so quickly! The best brunch spot in Florida! The food here is always good, and they change up their menu pretty frequently with the seasons offering fun and unique new things to try. That's a great thing and also not because I get addicted to a certain dish or beverage lol. The service here is also great. Pelicans fly inches over the water and a fast pace. There is a wait if your group is 2-4 people. 5+ people are faster to get seating (25 minute wait today). Server is pleasant. During "season" ( when there are many out of staters) can be tight to find the free parking. You are not rushed to complete you meal and beverages. Worth the trip. read more

We are here on our very first morning of our Spring Break on our way to the beach from the airport. The service was great, our waitress was the absolute sweetest and the food was delicious. They had hand sanitizer available for us and the seating was spaced out enough that we felt good about eating there inside. This turned out to be a really wonderful place to wait for our early morning flight! Because if you don't rush to get to the airport only to realize you are hours too early, are you even traveling? I found out later on that this place is part of a chain, but you seriously could never tell. Our waitress was super kind as was our hostess and, although we stayed for awhile, we never felt like we needed to rush out. I got a juice, coffee and an avocado toast. All delicious. The morning cocktails they had on new to their menu were so tempting, but I stuck with simple OJ. The avo toast was a big portion and, for someone who really doesn't get hungry that early, it was plenty. It came with two eggs on the side and it was the perfect mini breakfast. On top of how great the food was, the space is huge with a very cute look to it. Tables were nicely spaced out so no one was on top of each other, even as it got more and more crowded. If you need a place close to the airport, or are just looking for a great breakfast spot, I highly recommend First Watch. read more

First off, let me start by saying that I really enjoy their food and while this is my first review of this restaurant, I have been to other First Watch locations that have provided a better experience. 1) the wait: on weekends, expect to wait for breakfast/brunch table unless you come very early or toward the end of the opening time. That's a given. However the food wait was crazy too which was a downer, showing that the kitchen was overwhelmed. 2) order accuracy: a few of the components of the dishes were missing. AM Superfoods bowl has coconut milk as the first ingredient. It was missing. Additionally the photo had several Maldon Sea Salt flakes but the actual food we received only had 2-3 total. The waffle we asked for powdered sugar on the side, but it was served without any powdered sugar. After waiting so long for our food, it would've been nice to have no issues with the actual meal. Sadly the least favorite first watch experience we have had an our guest who has never been to a first watch before, had to experience this poor first impression. read more

Pretty rough experience today. Went with my wife and two kids (16 & 20). We waited while a booth by a window was cleaned for us. Pretty busy but no wait to be seated. The restaurant is loud. Hard to have a conversation. Just a side note. The reason for 1 star is I found the finger tip of a blue glove mixed in with my Hacienda Hash after a couple bites. Probably the most disgusting thing I've ever experienced at a restaurant!!! I get this can happen...but not really. 1. The person prepping that almost cut their finger off...you didn't notice a part of your glove missing? 2. The cook adding ingredients to make one dish didn't notice a bright blue latex item in the potatoes? Anyway, my biggest issue is the server only said, "Oh wow!" No apology at all. Nothing. And, no manager came out to apologize. Nothing!!! That's just unacceptable. When paying after; and yes, the meal was still on the receipt, I was asked how everything was. I explained what happened and the girl was appalled. She apologized. So I asked, does the manager not visit guests in a situation like this? I guess not. Stuff happens at restaurants. I totally get it. I'm not expecting anything less. What I am expecting is for an acknowledgment of the issue, an apology and some sort of expression to make it right. read more

I had the Salmon Frittata with sun dried tomatoes a side of potatoes and fruit. Positive comments about the The Works Omelette(Bacon,sausage,onions,roasted peppers) sides to Choices of Fruit. First Watch has fast become one of our favorite breakfast and lunch place at the Gulf Coast Town Center! As you walk in, there is a waiting area with newspapers and a coffee station for your enjoyment while you are waiting. Since this is off season, we were seated immediately by the lovely hostess. We love the ambience and décor here. Yes, it is industrial looking but airy and homey! Today, we ordered the Sweet Honey Pecan Chicken salad with 1/2 Monterey Club sandwich and the Parma Skillet hash. The Sweet Honey Chicken salad is huge and can be a meal by itself but the Monterey Jack with turkey, bacon, and tomato is delicious! The Parma skillet or the sunny side up eggs with mushroom, onions and tomatoes and Parmesan and Mozzarella cheese just hit the spot! My other favorites are Frittata Rustica and Salmon Frittata. I'm usually not a fan of breakfast chains, but I have to give 5 stars to this place. I ordered the eggs bennedict BLT which were delicious (suuuuuper tasty) but my husband ordered a carrot cake pancake and this is my new favorite breakfast thing, it was perfect!!!! I highly recommend it. They also have amazing juices, their morning meditation is a must in here. Also, the restaurant has all the covid19 safety measures in place, there was plenty of space between tables and all the staff were wearing face masks. I'll definetely be back! read more

This is not quite a four, probably more of a three star review, but I am rounding up because the server was very sweet. The biggest problem here was a dirty coffee mug and dirty silverware. I had to switch it out with the set up on the table next to me, before I could begin to eat. Kinda grossed me out. The BLT eggs Benedict was okay, not the best ever, but not bad either.
