We came here because it was supposed to where we were. I ordered their number 10 special which was supposed to be Meat of your choice, cheese, and mushroom omelette with potatoes, grits, or tomatoes. I asked the waitress if the potatoes were deep-fried because if they were I did not want them. And she had a look that she didn't understand me, but didn't ask or clarify anything. My husband ordered the country skillet. The coffee was delicious He said the country skillet was very good.. My omelette did not have any mushrooms in it. But what was odd it was the shredded potatoes and she had the Kitchen deep fry the shredded potatoes. When I asked her about that, she replied with "you said you wanted them deep fried" I said no I said I didn't want them if they were deep fried. She said "Let me see if I can get you another side" She came back with the hashbrowns not deep fried. The omelet itself appeared to be cooked in oil as it was very greasy. I chose ham as my meat specifically to avoid this kind of an outcome The potatoes were also very heavy in oil , or whatever it is, they used to cook them with The food came out quickly and the waitress is very nice. I ordered the egg whites with grilled tomato, along with a buttermilk biscuit. My partner in dining ( & life ) order had a house skillet along with a buttermilk pancake. Thumbs up per his tastebuds. In town for work. Hubs and I dined for dinner on 5/31. Waitress came to our table and dropped off a 3x5 card with the handwritten specials and left. Pretty sure it was intended that she should keep the card and relay the info. Odd. We ordered mozzarella sticks as an app. Tasted fine, nothing special. I ordered the gyro dinner and my husband ordered the bourbon salmon. My meal was okay, again nothing to write home about. The sauce on the salmon had jelly like bits that we could not decide what they were. The fish was cold and undercooked. We had to flag town the waitress as she never came back to refill our drinks or check on us. We spoke about the fish and she took it away only to bring back the same fish my husband had eaten off of. Not sure if that's proper but felt unsure if they should have put his food on a grill again. The menu stated that my dinner came with "dessert" and my husband's meal came with a choice of ice cream, rice pudding or jello. When it came time to order that, we were both given the same options. I assumed "dessert" would be a choice of what was in the dessert display case. The menu should be written the same in both places. The check finally arrived by the server but she did not thank us or tell us where we could pay, she seemed rushed so we figured it out ourselves. We stopped at the summer Café for dinner before heading back after swimming all day. Once inside, we're immediately seated and our waitress was A1! I can't remember her name, but she brought extra napkins and had our drinks refilled the entire time. Hubby had the gyro platter and I had the chicken fettuccine. The gyro platter came with lots of meat and it was flavorful. The fettuccine Alfredo was okay. I wish I would've had a little bit of something added. It was a little bland. We will definitely come back to Summerlin Café next time we're in the area, but will probably try the breakfast next time . read more

Highly recommend. We came twice, once for an early dinner and later for breakfast. Nice staff. Delicious food. They have rebuilt after Hurricane Ian damage, and it was clean and spacious. The server answered our questions and offered recommendations. We had the salmon salad, Monte Cristo sandwich, and the Greek chicken souvlaki with salad and rice. Huge portions and all very good. Two Greek diners with menus virtually interchangeable, are a stone's throw apart. I think one is somewhat better than the other .... but I'm not suggesting which! Sandwiches come with a side; it could be soup, fries, potato salad or coleslaw. Tack on a second side dish for $1.50. Today's lunch: == Matzoh ball soup: not bad! The matzoh ball is a good consistency, but bland. Broth tasted homemade. There's celery in the mix, but a few carrots would bring it up a notch. == Side salad: romaine lettuce, cucumber, a tomato wedge and a sprinkling of parmesan. == I like the Reuben, but it clearly didn't come from Katz's Deli on the Lower Eastside. The meat was lean but somewhat salty. I question if they actually cooked the corned beef in-house. == The gyro sandwich was generously filled. The tzatziki sauce passable, but insipid. == Potato salad: I'd suggest they rework their recipe. Mushy, with too much mayo. Some texture -- chunky hard boiled eggs and celery -- would jazz it up. Normally, I don't criticize staff when I assess restaurants. Withholding our server's name, I understand that she's new. She brought our sandwiches 30 seconds after the soup. (If you saw our postage stamp-sized table, you'd realize how laughable that is.) "Wait till we're finished!" I said. I am a disabled veteran that uses a service dog for medical and mobility. My dog is trained and was wearing his full gear.Showing that he is a service dog. I wanted to go with my granddaughter to have breakfast this morning. The waitress that was seating us told me that management does not want dogs near people and I would have to sit all the way in the back corner of the restaurant. I asked if we could sit at a booth and that he was a fully trained service dog. We stopped here for lunch and although it was very busy we were met and greeted right away and seated. We decided to shared a Rueben sandwich with fries so we were charged an extra $3 to share. Stopped in for early dinner after exploring in the Everglades we were pleasantly surprised and impressed with the list of dinner specials - more than I expected and something for everyone. It was a chilly day so soups were in order - Matzo Ball and chicken noodle were on the menu and perfectly delicious! Hubby wanted a coffee, and our wonderful waitress brought a fresh brewed pot to our table - just awesome! Hubby wanted a bacon cheeseburger and I wanted something light, so I chose the stuffed avocado with chicken salad, potato salad, cottage cheese and mixed fruit. My platter was delicious, and hubby said his coleslaw was great. He gave me a taste and it was just like my mother's recipe. We took home a piece of coconut cake because we were both very full - the size of our meals were more than enough to fill us up! Summerlin Cafe 8-17-24 This review will be for Breakfast and Dinner as I was there for both. I arrived at about 7:15 am. I was greeted right away and seated fast as this place was not that busy because they just opened. My waitress was fast to get my coffee and food order. I ordered the Meat Lovers Skillet with Eggs over easy. My order came out fast, it was hot, and eggs were just the way I liked them. I got a refill on my coffee, and she kept it up to date as I ate. I cannot say anything bad about my breakfast, it was very good. I don't like to do reviews just based on breakfast. I don't believe it's fair, so I had to go back for dinner to give a better review. We arrived around 4 pm on a Saturday and got a table immediately. This place is always neat, clean and well lit. Our waitress was Nicky, and she was very attentive to our needs. She got our drink order and left the food menu, trust me there is something for everyone to choose from on their large item menu. I ordered the Prime Rib med well, my wife ordered the Filet Mignon med, and my dad ordered the 1/2 Fried Chicken. For our sides we got the Baked Potato, Salad, Carrots and Green Beans. Also, all our meals came with dessert. Our food came out fast and all items were hot. Mine was very good, as were all the sides. My wife liked hers and her sides were to her liking. My dad said his was very good and he would get it again. We did ask for rolls and Nicky brought some out fast and refilled our drinks. All in all, our food was good and the service by Nicky was great. As you can see from my pictures the servings filled our plates, when we were done, we were full. To finish up as far as deserts Nicky went over what we could order so we put in our desert order of ice cream at that time. I believe you can't go wrong with eating here. I have been here a couple times and we had not had a bad meal there yet. We will drive almost an hour to eat there for a more upscale meal. I will give this place 4 out of 5 stars. We were nearby and got hungry for lunch. When I saw the Yelp reviews for this place I had to give it a try. My husband had the French dip and we think it was piled high with nearly 1/2 pound of beef! Never saw a French dip with that much meat! I tried a "healthy" option which came with a bowl (not a cup) of delicious Greek wedding soup and 3 large scoops of chicken salad, potato salad, cottage cheese respectively PLUS a small bowl of fruit. The cordon bleu sandwich was so tasty and fresh. I thought I would t finish it because it was pretty big but it tasted so perfect that I ate all of it! The highlight for me though was the matzo ball soup. I am kind of a soup junkie and always try a soup if it's on the menu. I live in an area where matzo is not as common and it was odd since this isn't a deli and its in Florida, but it's a daily offering and seemed like the house specialty so I had to order it. Boy am I glad I did. The chicken soup part was good but the matzo ball itself was amazing- light and flavorful and probably one of the best matzo balls I have eaten.
