*note below negative review was for the upper Kirby location. Didn't realize this was a chain. Nonetheless the poor experience of this chain still applies. Online order for pickup. Relative to estimated pick up time it was over 40min late. Despite restaurant being at ~75% capacity. Multiple online orderers waiting so this wasn't unique to my order. Also my order was for one person meal (not some massive order) Need to revamp your order management system, or just completely remove your estimated pick up time. Have not yet tried food, looks decent, priced well for the location. Decor was good. But most of this food is cookable at home, didn't anticipate wasting my entire morning. This is for sure one of my new favorite brunch spots! For starters, the menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable (considering brunch is more on the expensive side these days). I appreciate that most meals come with turkey as the main meat or options of turkey or chicken sausage patties. I also appreciate how egg whites are served with a lot of the menu options. Service was great and food came out promptly. We got the Tri-Athlete and the Traditional Breakfast with egg whites and chicken sausage patties. There could've been a bit more seasoning on the food, but it still tasted really good! The portions are also very generous. Holly breakfast, brunch, and lunch! I loved this place so much I went 2 days in a row! The decor and customer service is so inviting. This place has the ihop vibe when it comes to fresh pot coffee although the first time I went it felt a bit burnt. I love the old school glass milk jug of water they give you for the table. I always order the avocado toast with the two eggs and I add a side order of bacon and make it a sandwich. If I can recommend anything is ask for the avocado on the side. You may think there is no such thing as to much avocado but trust me it's A LOT. My mom is more open minded and ordered different things each time we went and she loved both plates! In short: consistently disappointing I thought the re-model from Egg and I was great. I love the aesethic and the wooden door chandeliers on the ceiling. It feels open and spacious with an abundance of natural light, but the food has not impressed me at all. The first time we came, I was excited about and ordered the chickichanga. This thing doesn't hold a candle to the much bigger and much more flavorful Tinga Wrap from Union Kitchen on Bellaire. There were an abundance of ingredients, but they didn't come together at all and there was barely any chicken or chorizo. For $11, it'd be nice to get enough protein to get full. My wife really likes their french toast (and I will admit it is quite good) so we gave them another try. This time I went with the biscuits and turkey sausage gravy. First of all, on the menu it says biscuits... plural, but what you actually get is one biscuit cut in half. The gravy was cold and there was barely any turkey sausage in the gravy. (Also, who does Turkey sausage in Texas?) Maybe I'm spoiled because I grew up in the country in East Texas where biscuits and sausage and gravy are a staple, but cold gravy is about like cold eggs, inedible. I rarely, if ever, leave food on my plate, but this was so bad. I just wanted to walk across the street and get a box of Chicken Minis from Chick Fil-A. The service was friendly enough, but they need to improve their coffee policy. My wife ordered a cup of coffee. (I'd already had two cups at home so I opted for water.) But, when you order coffee, they bring you the whole pot. Well, they're not going to give that to someone else after-the-fact so I just figured they charged by the pot and poured myself a cup as well. When we got the bill, I guess the waitress saw me pour a cup (of coffee that was going to be poured out) and charged me $2.85 (or whatever it costs) as well... They don't put the price on the menu - perhaps precisely so they pull this little bait and switch tactic? Not very transparent. I'd probably pick up French Toast to-go for my wife, but I'm probably done with First Watch. read more

I've seen this brand opening up in different parts of the surrounding Houston area. I had not tried one until today. I came in with little expectation and thinking it's a wannabe healthy breakfast spot. It turns out that it isn't. Of course, you have to take the portion factor into account to reduce the total calorie intake, but they have a variety of food options for the entire family. Food: I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (~800 calories) for 2 stacks, splitting the order w/ my hangry daughter makes it less calories. Yass! The pancakes were very fluffy and delicious that I didn't feel the need to add syrup or agave on it, plus a little dab of lemon curd gave it a little sweetness. My family members were happy with their meals as well. Service: We were greeted and seated right away. The place was full but not packed. We arrived at 1:50PM and left at 2:30PM. I love coming here on Saturday mornings. Food is always pretty consistent. I always get the farm fresh tacos or the French toast. They do have seasonal items that are worth a try. I do recommend signing in through yelp so you don't have to wait in line. Saves you a lot of time. The service is always really great here as well. After enjoying breakfast at the North Austin location, I was eager to bring my boyfriend to the location in Bellaire. The food is good and reasonably-priced. But I really enjoyed it thanks to our server (and I am kicking myself for not remembering his name!). I love to eat breakfast out and it is so nice when the server is in a good mood!
