Mia's Table in the Bellaire Triangle opened on Febrary 2nd. I tried to order the red snapper tacos, but they did not have it today. I went with the fried fish and shrimp platter and substituted mac and cheese for the French fries. It came with a couple of onion rings that were good and crispy. The macaroni and cheese was very good and the cole slaw was delicious. The fish and shrimp were great, cooked perfectly and with a tasty, well seasoned batter. The only suggestions is make would be to make the cole slaw portion a little bigger and add some collard or mustard greens to the menu as a side. My plate was more beige that I like to see. The service was fantastic. All of the servers and bussers were friendly and helpful, especially Isaias, who kept a watch over the whole dining room and spoke to all of the customers to make sure their needs were met. Trash was cleared from my table quickly and My drink was refilled for me, which was a nice surprise, because orders are placed at a counter. The manager also asked if I needed anything and made his rounds around the dining room, which is the test of a good manager to me. The atmosphere is casual and has an urban rustic vibe. The only complaint I have about this visit is that it is a very loud restaurant, which causes the customers to speak loudly to be heard, making it even louder. Most of the customers I saw looked like they were over 40, and if this continues to be the demographic most served, the ambient noise will be a problem. The music is a good mix of upbeat pop and rock, but it's really too loud. I will eat Mia's again, and look forward to the red snapper tacos, but I'll probably order to go. read more

Every new restaurant experiences growing pains but so far Mia's Table in Bellaire feels like they've been killing it for years. Operating out of the newly renovated Bellaire Triangle, they are the latest addition joining a decorated group of fabulous eateries (#1). Order at the counter, find a seat, and due to be GPS tracking on the assigned pager, servers will know where to locate you and serve the food. It's a high tech, low lift situation, and appears to be working quite well. The interior is way larger than it looks from the outside, along with an extensive selection of covered outdoor seating. Food wise, it was excellent all around. The patty melt was so delicious I would come back just for that. The loaded queso (meat + pico) was addicting, the mac, chicken fingers, and mash potatoes were all comfort food proper. Even the tortilla soup was some of the best I've had, along with a ribeye steak that was cooked to rare and seasoned beautifully. The only minor snafu was service related, which was forgivable in that the staff person kept asking to take my unfinished dishes. However they kept the place clean, responded promptly to requests and were extremely attentive throughout the evening. I'm not sure how long they can keep it up but I sure hope they do. Mia's Table is one of those places that never disappoints, and their newest location in the Bellaire Triangle is no exception. They have just opened and working out some kinks, but nothing unexpected for a place that just opened. The atmosphere is welcoming, making it perfect for both family meals and casual nights out. It's very kid-friendly, which we really appreciated, and the free soft serve is such a fun bonus. The menu truly has something for everyone. The chopped Asian salad is always my go-to at Mia's Table, but honestly, there is not one bad dish on the menu. Comfort food all the way! Great menu options! Easy counter order. Free ice cream! Tons of sitting spaces. All was great but all the food was a bit too salty for me including the green goddess salad and onion rings. Will try something else. Maybe it was an off night and a bit too heavy handed on the salt. read more

Mia's table has been on my radar for a while and now they opened one in Bellaire. My wife and I enjoyed a couple of great meals and service. We had enough for a couple more meals. The chicken fried steak and chicken (2 plates) were amazing. The breading stayed put when you cut it and the meat had lots of flavor. You can get jalapeno gravy which I loved, wifey opted for the regular. I need to remember to order it with the gravy served on the side to help keep the crispness there, still very very good but on the side is mo' better. We had to get an appetizer of fried onion rings....they were phenominal. Both meals came wit' 2 sides, I chose green beans and mashed taters, both great choices, I wonder if you can get onion rings as a side with a small upcharge. For the price, the portion size was great. The service was good and food was hot. However the food taste itself was not great -- Nashville hot chicken was basically as spicy as black pepper. It was very creamy. Every thing was very creamy buttery and milky. I am sensitive to these things however my partner is not and even he couldn't finish the food because of how heavy it was. It's a shame because we felt like we wasted our money and came home with stomach aches. I probably only ate a quarter of my food or less before I was so bloated and felt sick. read more

A newly opened Southern diner catering to the neighborhood families. We started with fried pickles. The pickles were not greasy and very addictive. Our party of three ordered meatloaf, grilled porkchops, and fried catfish/shrimps plates for diner. Each plate came with two sides of our choice. Our side were mashed potatoes, creamed corn, fries/onion rings and cole slaw. The proteins were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The fried seafoods were not greasy and the meatloaf was meaty. Star of the show was the porkchops. The two pieces were were perfectly cooked with the grilled essence. The pork chops were so tender. The sides were delicious. The mashed potato needed no gravy, It was that good. We ordered the classic banana pudding for desert. The banana pudding was not too sweet and not artificial tasting. It was the perfect desert to cap off our dinner. Sevice was excellent. Servers were friendly, courteous, and efficient. Prices were very acceptable for such good quality foods. Plenty of parking available for this stip center location. We will definitely return. read more

This is a counter service restaurant. When I ordered appetizers, they came out with our dinner. Even when I confirmed after ordering if they would come separately. Complained to the manager, and he comped the appetizer. We had ordered chocolate milks with our meal, and evidently there is some cooler where we grab them from. I had to go ask for them, and they treated me like I should've known. As for the food, it's OK. I ordered the fish tacos and found three fish bones or hard non-fish pieces in them. My husband said his burger and fries were just OK. If the food quality, service improves would be a good spot. read more

Wow! So happy Mia's opened in Bellaire. My husband and I had a date night tonight and the food did not disappoint. I had the salmon, Asian salad. My husband had a snapper tacos with queso, and both dishes were divine. The staff is unbelievable! I can't tell you how many times the manager came up to our table to introduce himself and ask us if we needed anything. I saw him go to every single table and greet every customer. Two weeks ago the cashier did not repeat my order so they got it wrong. Oh you wanted fried chicken not chicken fried chicken? That will take another 25 minutes. Well forget it, my 5 friends will be done eating by then, so I didn't get to eat dinner. Tonight I ordered a takeout hamburger. After waiting 25 minutes I noticed my order sat for 5 minutes before the take out person bagged it up. Then without activating my pager (then why give me one?) he walked around the restaurant trying to give away my food. Finally I walked up to him and asked are you looking for the owner of order #45? Yes, here it is. Now it has been 10 minutes since it came out of the kitchen. No thanks I don't want cold food. Then I had to wait in the pissed off patron line (two people complaining their food never came out) for the RUDE manager to figure out how to refund my money. ONCE AGAIN NO DINNER FOR ME! Clean and love the local feel of this one! the Asian chopped salad is one of the best in Houston and free ice cream afterwards is a must!

I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken. I enjoyed the meal. I was so filled I did not touch the sides. I would order this again.
