If you are looking for nice, clean, healthy food, this is your place. They only serve breakfast and lunch so you have to get there early! I love the uniqueness of their menu. They list the calories, which helps you make an informed decision IF you are being more health conscious. I decided to order the avocado toast. It comes with 2 eggs, which I got fried hard. I also added an order of the chicken sausage for a little extra protein. Soo...the avocado toast? YUM! It comes with PLENTY and I do mean PLENTY of beautiful chunks of avocado. They definitely do not skimp you here. The salt accompaniment was just right. The bread...was nice and thick...and FILLING! I loved the flavor of the sausage. Service was nice and everyone was super friendly. I liked that they gave you a pitcher of water so you did not have to keep flagging someone down to refill your glass. We ate breakfast here this morning (our first time here) we were greeted by several staff members (very diverse and friendly staff) and seated promptly. You're table is not assigned to one waiter, which I love, literally several servers will come up and ask if you need anything. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Now on to the food. Coffee is brought to your table as well as water. I wanted something refreshing so I asked for the 'Morning Meditation' juice (Orange, lemon, turmeric, organic ginger, agave nectar and beet.) Very refreshing and tasty! I ordered the Elevated Egg Sandwich. Messy to eat? Yes. However still tasty. Came with some delicious seasoned potatoes! My mom ordered pancakes and I ordered pancakes for my kids. Be warned you only get one pancake but it is one HUGE pancake. Both of my kids shared one chocolate chip pancake it was that big. We tried their Million Dollar Bacon ( hardwood smoked bacon with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle) It does have a peppery kick to it but it was good and I didn't mind the spicy kick. Really nice breakfast and brunch franchise but this location doesn't quite have its shit together. Obvious newb waiter. No water offered. Service was brisk. My avocado toast came out sitting in a puddle of water. I had taken a few bites when my check arrived with an explanation of how to pay. Then ... Poof! No more server. I stop by about once a year and each time I'm reminded why I waited a year. 6 waitpersons servicing 10 tables and still we waited 15 minutes to be asked what we'd like to drink. Apparently "First Watch" is not a noun but an imperative verb. The menu always reads tasty and the food is ...OK. It's not bad but it's very average . This past visit we had lemon ricotta pancakes (I'd give that a 4/5), millionaire bacon (if you start with generic thin sliced bacon the only millionaire you're gonna get is the lucky idiot who won $100 playing the penny slots), and a Italian skillet scramble which was about 95% under done soft potatoes with little flecks of spinach, red pepper and sausage. Completely edible , yet completely forgettable The best part of today's visit was realizing I don't need to go back until next year hoping they'll improve. First off I want to say, this is the most diverse staff I've ever seen, and I'm loving in! Came here on a Sunday, 10:15 am. It was half packed when I walked in, it's 10:30 now and fully packed. I'm excited to see something fresh for brunch open up near our Eldridge community. It is beautiful in here, super family-friendly, outdoor patio; the decor is so simple yet so fresh like the feeling I get walking in here. Loving all the options on the menu- some vegetarian too. I had my mind set on the toast with cream cheese and salmon with capers. However when I ordered, another staff member notified me it was a seasonal item. I totally understand it is a seasonal item, but the owner just posted these pictures days ago. I think they should reconsider taking it down, so it won't be misleading. Walking in, we were greeted with an open door by a gentleman. He walked us to our table. Once seated, we were asked if we wanted fresh coffee, it was cold in here so I accepted. Glad I did, because it was really good. Nice to have a coffee on a summer day in a cold place. Maybe it's just me that likes that feeling. After I was notified about the seasonal item, I ended up going with my second choice on the menu- eggs benedicte with salmon with potatoes. The salmon wasn't cut thin enough as I'm familiar with, so I felt like I was having a salmon entree instead of a slice of salmon on my ciabatta bread. Capers might be a good addition or on the side, ha! THE POTATOES ON THE OTHER HAND WERE AMAZING!!!! Perfectly cooked, not dry, a few crisp onions, just great. Our server Norman was spectacular, super sweet and a gentleman. As we got up to pay at the front, someone came around our table to pick up the food, and asked if my food was okay. They just opened this month and I have been here 3 times. Great service and a big menu. It can get a little noisy but I guess that's a trend lately. I highly recommend giving it a run. 2/3 down grading to 4 stars. The noise level in this place is crazy even when mostly empty. Most of the seating is quite uncomfortable. So disappointed. I read some other reviews and saw the concerns with bad service, but the food looks so yummy I had to try the place. Well, should've listened to the reviews. 1. FYI ask for water, which I didn't get a chance to because my waitress interactions were 5 seconds or less I couldn't understand what she was saying it was so fast. 2. Food came out, looked amazing. Waitress did not even check on me until I was finished with my omelette. Pancakes came out with no syrup. I ate it dry because I couldn't even find her in time to ask for the syrup. 3. After getting my water from another server, I literally had to get up to get my own water refill from the water stand for waiting customers. My waitress was so everywhere she didn't even notice the two styrofoam cups as trash on my table, or a new water glass someone else brought. 4. I told the waitress my concerns and the manager came out and tried to explain that you have to ask for water and the servers are told to not share their name with guests (weird) - pretty much making up excuses as to why the service was bad. Pretty impersonal for a corporate rule, there are plenty of other brunch places with good service and food here in Houston. He took care of my check (a whopping $17), I still left a tip because I've been a server before. But I definitely will not return. All in all, the food is good. Came here for breakfast, and while the server was very nice, I was not happy with my breakfast. I ordered the French toast and it looked amazing! But when I started to cut into it, I found that it was soggy. I cut the corners off and hoped the middle would prove to be cooked properly. I was disappointed. It was soggy throughout. I was starving and didn't have a bunch of time to wait, so I ate what I could. I did tell the server, Enrique, that it was undercooked and soggy, and he apologized but did nothing else. Came here for a mid-morning breakfast on Saturday. Seated immediately and received a healthy amount of service from our waiter who was very informative on the menu and made great recommendations. I ordered the Trifecta with a waffle, chicken sausage, and eggs over easy. Awesome on every level. Best chicken sausage patty I ever had. I normally get bacon but I was trying to be healthy. Waffle was crispy and al dente density. Wife ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. Its noted that the normal stack only has two pancakes as they are big and fluffy. They did not lie. My wife was hankerin for fluffy pancakes but she only ended up eating half. They were not joking when they meant big and fluffy. Im glad this place opened as I only live a few minutes away. Decent service with decent food. My family and I came here for breakfast, and luckily there wasn't a wait. Our group of 3 had arrived first, and we were waiting on my older sister and her boyfriend. Our waitress came over to take our drink orders, and waited for the rest of our group to come before taking our orders. We ordered a Steak and Eggs Hash, a chickichanga, a Parma Skillet Hash, a Carnitas breakfast burrito, and I forgot what my older sister's boyfriend ordered. Food: My dish was the steak and eggs hash, and I enjoyed it. There was a decent portion of steak, and the food came out piping hot. The only downside was that other than the parmesan cream, the dish was extremely bland. There wasn't that much parmesan cream in the bowl to begin with, so I was left eating a bland dish. It was a lot better after I salted it, but I wish that it had more flavor to begin with. The Parmesan-crusted ciabatta was really good, and it tasted like a Cheez-It! Service: The service was okay. Nobody really checked in on us to see how we were doing until the end of the meal. When our waitress brought out our checks, we noticed that she had accidentally charged us for 2 iced chai ciders, when we only ordered 1 Iced Chai Cider and 1 Sprite. We were waiting for the waitress to come pick up the check so that we could inform her about the mistake, but nobody ever came. After we had waited for someone to come pick up the check for about 15 minutes, I made eye contact with our waitress and she came over to check in on us. We informed her about the mistake, to which she apologized and went to correct it. When she brought back the corrected check, she said "did I mention that you're supposed to pay upfront?" I said no, to which she apologized and said that she thought she had mentioned it. We were all kind of sitting in wait for nothing, which was unfortunate. Not a huge deal, but I think that they should display signs about how you pay upfront. All in all, the portion size for each dish was pretty good. This wouldn't be my first go to breakfast spot, but then again I don't live in Houston. I would be down to give them another chance whenever I'm down in Houston again. read more

I came in on a Sunday afternoon for Brunch. We were seated right away. It took a few minutes for a waitress to come by. I ordered the potato skillet, I do not remember what it was called my daughter ordered french toast and my sister has the salmon frittata. Our food took almost an hour to come to the table. My meal came out first then my daughter and finally some time later my sisters meal. They were not busy at the time so I am not sure why it took so long. Waited 30 min for a table then another 30-40 minutes and all we got served was 2 orders of bacon. After eating all the bacon we still had not received our order. No water was served. Silverware was not clean. Thankfully I had my own bottled water. As I watched I noticed no pre-bussing was taking place. I felt bad for a few tables. Lady next to us moved her plates to another table. We informed the cashier that we wished to pay for our bacon and leave. She apologized said not to worry about paying for anything. I Iive in Arlington TX and eat at this establishment all of the time. It was very similar and nice atmosphere. Usually there are long waits but I was able to get right in today. The young man I had for my server was nice but not very attentive. I asked for hot tea and he brought the tea without the cup. Then brought the cup back with no spoon to stir.. he did check back in after I was almost done with my food that someone else brought to me. Then immediately brought me my check and said have a good day without seeing if I wanted anything else. We brought my kids and MIL to eat breakfast here because the menu looked so good! My MIL is a bit of a picky eater and there were a lot of options for her to choose from. I am conflicted about how to review this restaurant because the food was 4/5 and the service was 1/5. We got on the waiting list, so we only had to wait 7-10 minutes for our table, which was not bad at all. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came to our table, and we immediately ordered drinks. Before we got our drinks, we ordered our meals (with kids ya gotta be ready). We got the drinks in around 15 minutes but our waitress never filled up our water glasses. 65 loooong minutes after we were seated, we got all the food at once. We had asked for everything to be brought out as soon as it was ready, but that didn't happen. We were told that they got busy and couldn't separate the items as they were all rung up at the same time. As we were eating, we had to ask the waitress twice before she filled up our water glasses. At the end of our meal, she asked if we wanted any to-go boxes. We asked for one for the soup. We literally watched her go back to the kitchen area and stand around the place that the cooks put the food, wait 10 minutes, and then frantically remember that she was supposed to be getting us a to go box. These issues/errors can honestly be forgiven if just ONE happens during a meal. But the repeat issues and the waiting around really didn't make this the best experience. Drinks Ordered: *Carrot Crush - MIL said 3/5 because it had too much turmeric. She is Indian and uses this spice OFTEN, so I'm inclined to believe her but I didn't taste it. *Midnight Meditation - 5/5 I loved it! *Coffee & Iced Coffee - my MIL only uses half and half and there was none on the table. By the time the waitress came back to our table to see if we needed anything, her hot coffee was ice cold. I did think it was really nice that they had different creamer options (I think there was a pumpkin spice option plus the normal ones that most breakfast spots have). *Orange juice for the kids Food Ordered: *Avocado toast - 5/5 this was my favorite item. *Truffle Mushroom Frittata - 3/5. I did not taste any truffle and that was the main reason I wanted this dish. *Million Dollar Bacon - 3/5. I really wanted to love this but by the time it came to our table, it was just ice cold bacon with the cold drizzle on top.
