I was never greeted by any host only acknowledged for a pick up/Door Dash which I was not. I waited for approximately 3 minutes until I was asked to "Go ahead". I replied that I wanted to seated. I've never been told to "Go ahead" by any establishment before. After being seated, the same lady who sat me down took my order without a pad and apparently got the order wrong. I asked for a Salmon Frittata WITHOUT CREAM DRIZZLE but got that one. I waited for the order to be remade. I didn't get a refill of water for a while and but I was approached and asked if I was okay by a different woman. I told her I wanted some water she said "okay" and left and never returned. I began coughing and slightly chocking on my food until she recognized she forgot to return with water (my table is right in front of the kitchen by the way) and the original server came with room temperature lukewarm water. It felt like the water came from the restroom or sink. I've never been treated so poorly at any restaurant before, DEFINITELY not at ANY OTHER FIRST WATCH! I will never return here again. There are way too many other First Watch options in Houston. Everyone else seems to be well taken care of so the entire ordeal definitely feels racially charged and definitely racially insensitive (I spoke to the manager after and she decided to take care of the bill after I explained my deepest frustrations with the service but she smirked when I told her the whole situation felt racial, I am not clear to why that was funny but I'm not on the other end). There's not many trendy brunch spots in the energy corridor area so it was refreshing to see this hip new spot open up! (Opened in August 2018) I got the morning meditation juice which was not only pretty to look with all its colors, but also very delicious. I wasn't too hungry for a heavy lunch, was looking for something light. So got an avocado toast without the eggs but the seasoned potatoes on the side instead. Food came out in a good looking plate and was nicely presented! Taste was great. My friend got the eggs Benedict with salad and also really enjoyed it. Will surely come again! Highly recommended. Quietly opening in August, First Watch has had a lengthy soft opening. You're welcomed to a bright, cheerful environment. What sets First Watch apart is the wide variety of healthy options. You won't find fries or chips on the menu. Lots of vegetarian,vegan, gluten free choices. I've never been much of a "juice" fan, but their drinks were fabulous. Even the green kale juice mix was fantastic. I ordered a turkey burger. Great flavor. Firm texture. Served with a side salad. My wife ordered a cinnamon chip pancake with 2 eggs & turkey sausage. The pancake was fabulous. Eggs are eggs. Room for improvement? Never got a refill on my ice tea. And the pancakes were served with just one sausage link. I loved the one out in Katy so when they built this one down the street I was excited to eat there but boy am I disappointed. So far I had to literally stop someone to get some water after waiting 20 minutes. A buss boy/runner had to take our order after waiting 30 minutes since sitting down only to continuously get told no when asking if they could substitute things or even just add sausage. read more

Really like this brunch cafe! Hidden gem! Spacious, clean and chill. If you want something refreshing, try their blue booster tea, it has white grape, blueberry, lemon & basil and tastes super goood!! For food, we got baja chicken burrito bowl and sandwich and they were both super delicious. They have so many food to choose from, and I would definitely come here again. Unlike other restaurants, you have to go up to the exit door area to pay. Great service although our server kept asking repeatedly if we wanted another refresher even though we said no. Terrible experience and unprofessional service. The food here is terribly overpriced, for terribly meager portions, but I had a craving for pancakes that weren't IHOP or Denny's. Being how expensive this place is, I expect decent service, even when just doing curbside pickup. Sadly, my experience was very poor. Not only did I have to wait for close to ten minutes at the designated "curbside" pickup area, but then, after I called, I waited a further 5 minutes before I got so frustrated I went to go check for my food. There were 4 waitresses and 3 hostesses all chatting around the entrance and my food cold and forgotten on the shelf. I was told that a drink I ordered was discontinued... even though there was a flyer promoting it on the window... I'm extremely disappointed with this place and I will not be returning. read more

We've been coming here for a longtime, today was my last trip here. I tried to come last week parked and went in to a table and sat there forever without being acknowledged, finally got up and left to go to another restaurant, where I subsequently had a great breakfast. Thought I'd go back today and give it another chance. Walked up to a waitress I knew and asked for her table, she said to just sit anywhere. So I did and it took forever to get waited on, by another waitress. Placed my order and asked for honey for my tea. Waitress brought everything but the honey. Said I'd like some honey and she responded affirmatively. Waited five minutes for honey and when I got up the waitress was sitting at a back table reading a book, so much for the customer service they used to have. Eventually got my order and the egg whites were still liquid nowhere near cooked. Sent the egg's back and waited and waited. Finally started eating my bacon toast etc. that was left behind because they were getting cold. Ate them very slowly hoping to get my eggs. But no, the eggs came back out after everything else was gone. Tried to eat the eggs and then went to pay. I had a FW gift card that originally had $250 on it and still had $36+ on it. The cashier couldn't get it to work so she got a mgr who also couldn't get it to work, although they had no problem with the other $200+ on it. I told them to let Josh the mgr know that I'm through eating here based on the complete lack of service last week and the horrible experience today. Wide array of breakfast and lunch choices, featuring fresh, made-from-scratch dishes. Just starting out with tea or coffee, it feels like a first class operation. My order of tea came with my own hot water jug, plenty of tea bags, lemon wedges, and honey. For my breakfast, I ordered the Healthy Turkey Omelet...Egg white omelet with turkey, house-roasted onions, tomatoes, spinach and Feta. Served with whole grain artisan toast and all-natural house preserves. Everything tasted fresh and wholesome. My Mom ordered the Frittata Rustica -- open faced omelet with kale, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes topped with Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Subbed the ciabatta for the whole grain toast. It looked really good. We were also tempted by the seasonal Donut Holes. It was just ok. The centers could have been fluffier and the outsides could be a little more crisp, but then not sure how they would make them as they advertise that they don't use deep fryers. The chocolate, creme anglaise and berry dippers for the donut holes were very tasty though. Would definitely like to visit again soon. read more

I came in with my family for what I thought would be a nice breakfast but turned into nothing but aggravations. Our server had to be asked on multiple occasions for water. We were as accommodating as possible because I understand that service issues happen sometimes. However the food came out for my entire family of five except mine. The server gave my meal to the other table. What made a simple correction worse was that he tried to cover it up instead of telling the truth. Normally this place is always spot on so this was very disappointing. The manager came and removed my meal from the bill and apologized. The food here is fresh and solid but service is truly hit or miss. They are constantly hiring new people so regulars don't always get the same servers, and that's unfortunate. Come early to avoid the wait, enjoy the food but prepare for an absentee server. read more

I've heard good things about First Watch but honestly I wasn't that impressed. I ordered the special of Vanilla Chai Latte Pancakes. The waitress talked me into it since it was only available for a limited time. The pancakes had sliced bananas in them and on top of them along with almond butter drizzled over them. There were also seeds and raspberries on top which I thought was totally unnecessary. The flavor was OK. I've never had bananas sliced inside my pancakes so that was different. But this dish missed the mark for me. I feel like some restaurants try too hard to be trendy or unique. Sometimes it works but for me, that particular dish didn't. Sorry. My husband ordered a small bowl of fresh fruit. He definitely enjoyed it. He went on and on about it. For a cup of coffee, the pancakes and fruit it was $15.67. The prices were fine. Maybe I should have ordered something else. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I doubt we will be back to this location because we don't live over there. I was very happy when they came to our neighborhood but this location sucks! Long wait, unprofessional staff and kitchen is probably the worst of all. We go there once a month for brunch or lunch and its very normal to get wrong food, cold food or bad quality food. Today I got cold pancakes, butter wouldn't even melt on it. Whats the point Of serving pancakes that is cold ? It doesn't feel good when u wait 50 mins for your food and then u r served cold food. It shows u r not professional. U don't care about your customers. I know you are sorry too but I wasted a beautiful Sunday morning in your restaurant. Thats the time that won't come back anymore. Staffs are not smiling here for sure. I really don't think they are busy. There are always empty tables here and there . After covid their service has gone worse. I understand the staff shortages and etc., but this location has far more problems than the staff shortages. Having a manager on duty might help. Maybe they have one on duty but I have never seen a manager checking on tables or managing the staff. Waiter and waitress wont check on you ever, unless you find them and grab them and tell em what you need. I wish this location was better because its very close to our house. Went there with my family and we had a server named Kennedy. She was inattentive and unclear on things. It seemed like she purposely added on the order so it costed more. I wanted the trifecta and I saw an extra pancake on there which I did not order. I asked for some strawberries and she put a side of strawberries which was $5. Usually it's $1-$2 up charge. She rarely checked on us and we barely saw her. The eggs I received on my order were supposed to be over easy and they looked boiled and wasn't even liquid it was cooked all the way through. But she got me some new ones. It wasn't very busy either. And from what I saw she only had one other table. I'm not sure if it was a racial thing or she thought we weren't going to tip but her service was very different with us than the table she had next to us. The food is just okay, I've had the breakfast and lunch which are the only meals that they offer, and it always feels like theres a certain flavor missing. I normally get the Traditional breakfast, but I've also tried the pancakes, which lacked again flavor. For lunch their tomato soup and grilled cheese with ham isn't bad. I do like the fresh juices that they offer that are about 3.99. Perfect way to start a breakfast meal. The place gets very crowded as there is not that many breakfast spots in the area so I recommend going early because it's often packed. Also be patient with the servers. I had the hacienda hash and did not like it either. The flavor was bland and I had substituted the chorizo with chicken sausage that came out cold. First Watch's have been popping up everywhere in Houston and has taken over like a storm! What can I say? They do brunch and they do it well. It's pretty hard to mess up brunch, in my humble opinion, but nevertheless, I really enjoy eating at First Watch. They have a varied menu, everything from healthy to less healthy foods, but what I really enjoy is their pressed juices. I would recommend the morning meditation if you like that combination of sweet and tart at the same time. I've also had their pancakes which was definitely on-point. Their traditional breakfast was enough to fill me up and hit the spot for my brunch cravings. I like their seasoned potatoes as well, but I also love all potato products. It is a bit on the pricier side, but if you're willing to splurge a bit for breakfast/brunch, this is a great place to do so. I also liked that there wasn't as long of a line. read more

Thier menu is reminiscent of the trendy crazy Snooze but unlike the loud almost claustrophobic feel that you get there here its calm. This is a great new spot for brunch, right off of Eldridge and Westheimer! At 11:20, the wait was 15-20 minutes (not too shabby). I would suggest they automatically hand out menus to the people who put their name on the wait list, to expedite ordering once you get to the table. Also, I don't know what the WiFi is like with no one on it, but I couldn't even get one Mbps! If you step outside, a network called Cable WiFi appears that had 88.9 Mbps download! I guess I'll just have to sit outside next time! The food was delicious, and our server was very cordial and attentive!
