Solid 4, everything is made to order if you dont call ahead for the order. We waited about 10 min, not bad at all. I had the regular taco as the cashier misunderstood me. I asked for the three meat burrito and then she asked me what meats. I was confused and said one sausage and one bacon, so pay attention to what you're ordering. That being said, both tacos were really good. The person eating with me had the two egg plate, eggs cooked perfectly over medium, bacon crispy, and papa's were pretty crispy too, with toast. We wanted some good pancakes and didn't feel like driving far from katy so we used Google and it found this place for us. It is located in an industrial area and off the freeway. Apparently its been there for years. Plenty of parking. Looks family owned. Prices are perfect especially if you have large families. You walk up to counter to order and food comes out quick. Pancakes were AMAZING! Omelets and chicken and waffles were good. We didn't like the savory drizzle on chicken and waffle though. Customer service was mediocre. They spoke. On my work break I decided to tap in with Freddys Cafe ! It's been a hot minute since I've came here & it is definitely a little gem in Katy. I stopped by Freddy's around 11am, feeling like treating myself to something hearty. I went with the Double Angus Beef Burger and fries, and I have to say, the freshness of the food was on point, I was blown away. The burger was a beast -- two thick, juicy patties cooked to perfection, with a beautiful sear on the outside that locked in all the rich, savory flavors. I was saying "damn" literally after ever bite! The bun was soft and lightly toasted, holding everything together like a pro. The fries were golden, hot, and perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of crispiness. The fries were some real fresh cut Idaho potatoes. They paired perfectly with the burger, making the whole meal feel satisfying and complete. Since it was still early in the day, I decided to go with a Freddy's orange juice. I'm not sure if it was house-made, but it tasted like it. Hella fresh, with a vibrant, natural sweetness that hit the spot. The only downside for me was the customer service. It took a good minute for someone to acknowledge me and take my order, even though I was standing right there and clearly visible to the staff. In the area on business and decided to stop for lunch. We didn't know what to do when we first came in but figured it out by walking to the back corner and seeing the long counter. Perhaps we missed signage at the front that indicated procedure. I ordered a Reuben with onion rings and hubby got a fish sandwich with fries (lunch special). The fish was flounder and beer battered. It's on a toasted bun with shredded lettuce, pickles, mayonnaise, and cheese. Fries were fresh cut. Both were very tasty. Only thing I would have done was squeeze lemon on and salt the fish. Ruben sandwich was FULL of corned beef on beautifully crispy rye bread with thousand island dressing and sour kraut as well as Swiss cheese. The onion rings were PERFECT! The food itself was divine. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish itself was perfectly cooked and the crust was something to tell your grandkids about. Each piece was roughly 10-12 inches long. It came with a buttload of fries that Gordon Ramsey himself would be proud of. I went in for lunch yesterday as I haven't been here in a while. It gets crowded pretty fast around lunch time. You order at the counter and they take your name and call out when your order is ready. You must pay attention as it gets pretty loud in here. Their menu is pretty extensive for breakfast and lunch. It ranges form soups, sandwiches, salads and there is a hot lunch of the day special. They are only open from 7-3 and there is also a catering menu. I had a steak salad and they did not disappoint. There was an abundance of steak and it was cooked to order. It means there may be a wait so don't expect the food to come out right away but when it does it will be hot and fresh. When we first walked in to this tiny diner in the middle of the energy corridor, we didn't think we would be that impressed. Sort of non-descript in decor, with the only indicator of what was to come being the front doorway covered in stickers (to me that often means good things are about to transpire). We made our way to the order counter where the orders were being yelled out to the kitchen. I got a beer battered chicken sandwich while Hubs got the special, a Cubano sandwich. When I tell you that I was unprepared ... The chicken was as large as my face. The batter was thick, as I expected for a beer batter, but not where you couldn't taste the very tender chicken within. Halfway through the meal, Hubs stole the sandwich. I finished his Cubano, which was hearty. I don't think I could have eaten the whole thing. We both got so many fries that we didn't know what to do with them. By the time we left, the line was out the door and for good reason! read more

Favorite Patty Melt I've ever had. Only down-side is I wish they were open more on weekends/evenings to have it for dinner more often.

Don't let the location fool you, the breakfast is unbelievable. We've only been here for breakfast, but when we're in the area there is no question of where we're headed. The breakfast taco portions are generous and they cook the tortillas to absolute perfection. I'm not kidding, the best breakfast tacos I've ever eaten are here. The French toast is off the chart in deliciousness. The whole menu looks great, so far though after several years...we'll, we can't stop ordering the same things! The staff is friendly and obviously the cooking is top notch. The atmosphere is subtle Italian mixed with 80s surfer/skater culture. It's interesting but works out when the flavors of the food hit you. They haven't received the memo on CNN, but at least they keep the TVs muted. read more

This place caters to the local businesses for breakfast and lunch. I tried the croissant breakfast sandwich and the three meat breakfast taco.
