I Iive in Arlington TX and eat at this establishment all of the time. It was very similar and nice atmosphere. Usually there are long waits but I was able to get right in today. The young man I had for my server was nice but not very attentive. I asked for hot tea and he brought the tea without the cup. Then brought the cup back with no spoon to stir.. he did check back in after I was almost done with my food that someone else brought to me. Then immediately brought me my check and said have a good day without seeing if I wanted anything else. Like I said my food was good but I think my waiter needs a little more training on making sure your table is taken care of. read more

We brought my kids and MIL to eat breakfast here because the menu looked so good! My MIL is a bit of a picky eater and there were a lot of options for her to choose from. I am conflicted about how to review this restaurant because the food was 4/5 and the service was 1/5. We got on the waiting list, so we only had to wait 7-10 minutes for our table, which was not bad at all. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came to our table, and we immediately ordered drinks. Before we got our drinks, we ordered our meals (with kids ya gotta be ready). We got the drinks in around 15 minutes but our waitress never filled up our water glasses. 65 loooong minutes after we were seated, we got all the food at once. We had asked for everything to be brought out as soon as it was ready, but that didn't happen. We were told that they got busy and couldn't separate the items as they were all rung up at the same time. As we were eating, we had to ask the waitress twice before she filled up our water glasses. At the end of our meal, she asked if we wanted any to-go boxes. We asked for one for the soup. We literally watched her go back to the kitchen area and stand around the place that the cooks put the food, wait 10 minutes, and then frantically remember that she was supposed to be getting us a to go box. These issues/errors can honestly be forgiven if just ONE happens during a meal. But the repeat issues and the waiting around really didn't make this the best experience. Drinks Ordered: *Carrot Crush - MIL said 3/5 because it had too much turmeric. She is Indian and uses this spice OFTEN, so I'm inclined to believe her but I didn't taste it. *Midnight Meditation - 5/5 I loved it! *Coffee & Iced Coffee - my MIL only uses half and half and there was none on the table. By the time the waitress came back to our table to see if we needed anything, her hot coffee was ice cold. I did think it was really nice that they had different creamer options (I think there was a pumpkin spice option plus the normal ones that most breakfast spots have). *Orange juice for the kids Food Ordered: *Avocado toast - 5/5 this was my favorite item. *Truffle Mushroom Frittata - 3/5. I did not taste any truffle and that was the main reason I wanted this dish. *Million Dollar Bacon - 3/5. I really wanted to love this but by the time it came to our table, it was just ice cold bacon with the cold drizzle on top. I was super disappointed but blame this on the service. *Butternut Squash Bisque - 5/5. This reminded me of the holidays. SO SO good. *Pancakes - 5/5. It's hard to go wrong here. The kids had chocolate chips in theirs and they loved it. The pancakes are huge though, so both kids could have shared one. read more

The location is great, right on Westheimer. The parking can be troubling and hard to find a spot when you're going for breakfast on the weekend. The wait is a little annoying because it's packed. The food price is a little high and the portions are not as much. read more

I hear first watch is buying/bought out the Egg and I Restaurants.we went in on a Sunday maybe an hour before close and were greeted right away. Our server was nice and we told her we needed time to look at the menu and she offered some suggestions and gave us a few additional minutes. I decided on the egghaus sandwich that includes bacon and avocado, it was delish however i thought my potatoes were a little firm to bite but my friends didn't complain. Everyone enjoyed their food and i ordered a blueberry pancake to share, the pancake is the full size of about a 8-10" skillet so I'm glad i was in the mood to share however it was nothing about it that blew me away in flavor. I love breakfast so i would definitely try this place again and the service met my expectations. read more

Had a great breakfast and even better service with our waiter Adam who was nothing but accommodating and kind. I accidentally spilled my hot coffee on my hand and he was very gracious in cleaning up but also making sure I felt taken care of first, even offered to let me take the towel with ice if I needed to. Food was DELICIOUS! I ordered an elevated egg sandwich and a morning meditation for my drink. The sandwich was great, bacon was perfectly crispy, avocado was fresh (none of that brown stuff I get at some places). The drink was so fresh, tasted like my moms when she makes fresh organic juices. My husband ordered a Tri-fecta and purple haze for his drink. His waffle was so fluffy and you could taste the vanilla in the batter, wasn't plain tasting at all. His drink was really good also, tasted like drinking from a lavender cloud lol not overly sweet but you could taste the individual flavors in the drink. Our waitress was Sheila, she was very nice. I had asked to sit in a booth instead of where she was gonna sit us at first and she was nice enough to go clean it for us so we could sit there. This is based off of a to go order. I came in and order the brisket short rib Benedict. I was unsure of the Parmesan sauce and the server let me taste it beforehand which I appreciated. And I was able to sub the onions for avocado. Took about 15 mins to cook. Which was probably too long because my poached egg was overcooked. Didn't realize it til I got home. Other than that the meal was very good. But the manager did state that he would replace my meal. Unfortunately with something else because the item was seasonal and was ending the next day. But they should definitely consider keeping that on their menu though. read more

First watch has always been a great place to stop by for brunch. Other than having to patiently wait before being seated. However, social distancing is important. I recommend asking for Enrique, if you're lucky enough to have him there that day. He's fast, observant, and focused. Good God. I've had all the good old breakfast chains you've heard of but never have I been left with this much satisfaction. I got Uber Eats from this location and ooo weeee. I was up in my kitchen munching and doing my little "this food good as hell" dance.. First Watch has blessed me. Great breakfast spot nearby!! Very excited to have it!! I give it a 4 because it's not absolutely gourmet, but it sure beats Denny's and IHOP! I LOVE the avocado toast breakfast with the eggs (I order a side of their amazing bacon to go with it because I'm a carnivore....can't remember what it's called...but it's drizzled with some sweet gooey stuff)... Lemon Ricotta Pancakes at $9.79 which were light and fluffy and very delicious with yummy lemon curd on top. They give you your bill and you go to the service desk to pay for your food so you can leave when ever you want. Their Go North is delicious. My husband has a few dishes he rotates between but usually comes back to the Flower Child. The restaurant is charming and elegant. The staff is amazing and so consistent, it doesn't matter who we get - they're always warm and engaging. Parking is easy! We park across the street and rarely have an issue finding a spot. We also like to make a day out of it and go window shopping or wander over to Barnes and Nobles afterwards. You can't beat the location. It's a 10/10 from us. There are so many reasons we keep coming back. We're big fans!!

If he asked me why I would've told him the truth, but I don't think he cared as long as the bill was paid. SMH.

I felt like a celebrity when entering (because there was a gentleman at the front door, opening the door for me (along with a group of others), saying how happy they were that I was there); I looked around and noticed a few notables there along with me at 7am (mainly athletes, not movie stars). If you join their loyalty club online, you will receive an email with a buy one, get one offer (which I did). When you are seated, you will receive a pot of their Huila coffee for FREE! It is a dark roast (which I love). Immediately after drinking their Kale Tonic, I felt invigorated! That is some great stuff. I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict for breakfast, substituting seasoned potatoes for greens at no extra cost (yea, baby--I'll diet tomorrow). My choice for the free meal was the Roast Beef Havarti sandwich, cut in half for lunch and supper. The young man who took care of me was smart, attentive and quick. The floor manager who stopped by was entertaining and observant. I had a great beginning to my Saturday. I rarely eat out because I enjoy my own cooking, but this was a treat. read more

Dish you have to order is the truffle mushroom frittata, splendid. After I finished I felt that I can have another one. Pork chop with eggs is decent just way too sweet for my liking. Lemon ricotta pancake was excellent I so added blueberry in it to have the extra kick. The place was huge and I didn't have to wait to have breakfast. That's the best part.
