This is one of my favorite places, we go almost once a week. However after the mask mandate was lifted, this restaurant went to full capacity and I feel as if the items lost quality. Every time we go the food is wonderful and the staff is friendly, but recently it seems as if the kitchen staff is not making the food properly. As I said, they're loosing the quality in the food. We ordered the roast beef and havarti sand why and it was never made like it was the very first time we ordered it. The bread was cold and didn't have the cheese grilled onto it like before, the cheese was cold unlike the first time which it was melted. When we told the waitress it was cold, we wanted the sandwich to be made like the menu says, it was brought back missing two ingredients and the meat was still cold. I ordered an omelette one time and found a hair in it, so maybe hair nets or hats need to be used? I ordered one of the juices and it was so watered down it just tasted like lemon water. Who let this product make it to the table? Our food has been cold more then one time once it got to our table. Basically the food is never consistently delicious every time we go and it makes me sad. I understand the food industry, I work at one. I understand hiring new people is hard to train and maybe it takes a few tries to get the food made correctly, but sadly our food wasn't correct just enough times that we will have to avoid going here for a few weeks and maybe give them time to train their kitchen staff to bring the quality back. read more

I just ordered from here with Uber eats and first watch forgot to give me my turkey gravy for my turkey gravy and biscuits. How do your forget the main thing for this plate. Luckily I did order an extra item for my husband so he was happier. And the melt that I got was excellent! Food tasted great just wish I could of tried the gravy with the biscuit. read more

I love their food, but their service is devastatingly slow. Forty-five minutes from order to service is unacceptable. It seems their kitchen may have run out of dishes, as there were a lot more plates going in than coming out. This is possibly due to the glacial pace of their bussers. The food was good but I was disappointed that during COVID-19 and at such a risky time the owners were not really enforcing social distancing or masks. Sadly, even using the 'app' and told to arrive 30 minutes later for our party of 3, we still had to wait an additional 35+ minutes for the parties in front of us. When we arrived at the scheduled time, the hostess kindly told us they'd seat us shortly. I would have preferred a more accurate estimate of time and not a nebulous 'shortly' setting my expectations. The food was tasty, however after waiting forever to be seated and staff being in the weeds, I was beyond Hangry and it wasn't the experience I'd hoped to share with my family. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. They had a lot of delicious looking entrees for breakfast. I ordered the Belgian waffle and the fruit compote was so good I didn't need syrup. I would order it again. My husband ordered the salmon frittata. He assumed the salmon came on top of the frittata and not mixed in, but other than that he liked it. My mom ordered an English muffin and a side of roasted breakfast potatoes. She ended her meal saying "The potatoes were exactly how I like them. It's hard to find these." We used the yelp app to get in line at home. Once we arrived there was wall to wall people waiting in line, I rested easy knowing that there was just 3 then 2 then 1 party ahead of us. Hardly a wait at all! We were seated, knew the menu and requested 2 coffees. And we're off... Caffeine moved into the blood and engaged the brain so I became articulate enough to order without a cromagnon translator. (who was standing by in case her dad should be of need) As time warped and sped up like a Danny Boyle film, the waiter asked if we were ready to order. We did and shortly after two hot plates of loving breakfast nutrition were laid out in front of us. Over the course of the next hour and various topics ranging from the resonance of crystals and human interference patterns, to the sunny side up bacon party that invited the potatoes over for a Tabasco bath, followed by the basic rules of using a paradigm to write a story and many others I can assure you. We enjoyed our time with minimal distraction. The tri fecta was perfecta according to her, and the traditional was like a well wishing friend that wanted my day to be awesome. (don't eat your friends, metaphor people) Anyway got the check finished my last bit of coffee and paid up front. We were highly satisfied because the atmosphere was very pleasant, the staff was thoughtful and accomodating and the food was brilliant. That combination is hard to find. How stupid are we to be unable to tell the difference between a topping and a nat unless their toppings have legs and wings ... You can be the judge of that pics are attached ... At this point i'd NEVER go back there and will likely provide the pictures to the health department so that a thorough investigation of their "dessert toppings" can be completed. How would a dessert topping even end up in a clean cup? Or clean ice? Or the "clean" soda machine? REALLY ... Even our waitress saw the nat floating in the drink and said ewwwww how nasty! This was our first and will be our last visit to First Watch. To begin, the hostess (no name tag) with the black hair and tattoos looked liked she just rolled out of bed after a late night. Her hair was a mess, she wore a dirty black t-shirt, continuously yawned and leaned downward holding her forehead on the podium. Since our wait time was nearly an hour we had a lot of time to watch her lack of interaction with the customers. Not a good first impression. Then a very nice tall man took over and started making sure that tables were cleared so that customers could be seated at a faster rate. The menu looked good and our waitress was very pleasant. When our food arrived 30 minutes later it was not hot and not cold. We ate our two meals and spent $35. So, to get a table and to get our meal took 1.5 hrs. If you want to try your luck at First Watch use their app to get in line-- (saw that when we checked-in). Lastly, as we were leaving we could see into the kitchen and the floor was disgusting. read more

This place is amazing! From the start, everything seemed to work out well. We were looking for a brunch place at around 11:00am on Sunday which can be daunting due to waits. In looking for brunch in Round Rock, this place was listed at # 2 but was the only one this high up that allowed us to place ourselves on the waitlist. We put our names down, got the baby ready, got ourselves ready and then drove over from Pflugerville. We were sat within 5 minutes. When we had placed our name down, the wait time had been 45 minutes with over 30 parties in front of us. Having a baby, the ability to reserve online made all the difference in the world. The menu has really healthy options as well as good old fashioned, hearty, big breakfasts. Dianna got the tri fecta breakfast with French toast while I ordered the Chickichanga. Both were good, but what worked out even better is that we ordered the million dollar bacon as a side which was UNREAL. This bacon is like when you order French toast and bacon, but the bacon gets soaked in your syrup but only perfected. It was probably the best bacon I've ever had, which is a big deal to me. At one point, we mixed the eggs from her meal, potato's from mine and the bacon which made the tastiest scramble ever as well. I also ordered the Açaí squeeze which was a very light, delightful juice that had ginger ale in it. It was really refreshing. All in all, this place was fantastic and we'll be back again. read more

My friends and I would definitely come back just for her positive energy. Amazing lunch today! Walking into the restaurant today was like Norm walking into Cheers. SO welcoming! Greeted heartily by everyone and they truly made my day. I enjoyed the delicious Honey Pecan Chicken Salad which is my go-to and ranks as my number one salad in Round Rock. So dang good! But, wait.... here's the clincher. It started pouring buckets outside with no indication of slowing down. As I was standing by the door, Rob, the manager, insisted that I give him my car keys. He ran out into the pouring rain and jumped in my car and drove it up to the door for me. Now....THAT is customer service!! Just incredible. This kind of welcome and the delicious food (and best iced tea anywhere) will keep me coming back. Food is delicious worth the wait. Service could be better, I have gone twice and the first time the waitress didn't check in on us only to take our order and bring us the check. The second time the waitress was friendly but didn't mention anything when we waited 30+ minutes for the food. The food was ok but the service is lacking. We waited over 30 min for our food only to have it arrive lukewarm to cold. My husband ordered the Eggs Benedict with the BLT and his was cold when he finally got it. He also found a fruit fly in his half wilted salad. I got the works omelette which was lukewarm. It tasted fine but nothing spectacular. My side salad also seemed a little wilted and I couldn't tell if it was "lightly" dressed or not. The service was probably their biggest downfall. I felt like our waitress was avoiding us. She never came by to offer refills on our drinks or to let us know when we might get our food. The 2 stars are because my kids seemed to really like their waffles and pancakes. I just don't think it's worth the price for food that is just ok and service that isn't very good. Recently I had surgery in Austin, First watch was right around the corner from the surgical center. My husband picked up togo for breakfast. He ordered a chorizo omelette, I ordered a smoked salmon egg white omelet. He ordered a coffee and I had an iced coffee. I was pleasantly surprised, the breakfast was very tasty, flavorful and cooked properly. The iced coffee hit the spot and I loved the generous portion of greens served with my omelette. Unfortunately, I was unable to see the inside of the restaurant; my husband said it was a "cool little spot." He is pretty hard to please, the fact that he liked this place speaks volumes. The togo process was fast and efficient, order was correct, food was hot and packaged to perfection. I would recommend this easy breakfast spot for sure! read more

The food is generally okay, a little pricey for somethings that really shouldn't be that much. For example their new Açaí Bowl should not be $10, considering how small it is. The AM Superfood Bowl is pretty small too, while it's delicious, I think it should be around $5-$7 dollars, not 8, since it's so small. For drinks, the juices are pretty good and so are the coffees that they offer. I don't think I'd come here too often but if you do, try the juice and try the superfood bowl. Wish I could give this place zero stars. Everything -- and I mean EVERYTHING -- I liked on the old menu is gone. No corned-beef hash & eggs skillet, no Denver omelet, no crab-cake benedict... The new menu is a bunch of trendy California hipster stuff, you get NO choices in anything -- and forget about sides or extras, like a cup of fresh fruit, or grits, or a side of bacon to go with your pancakes. (You can't even do a "build your own" omelet any more; you can only choose from one of their strange concoctions with stuff like avocado, kale, and goat cheese in it.) Or at the very least, if there ARE any choices, they're not listed on the menu, and certainly weren't offered to me. I can't speak to the quality of the food, since I never actually got any. For lack of any more appetizing options, I decided to just go with the "Traditional Breakfast": two eggs, bacon, toast, and potatoes as the least-offensive option. TWENTY MINUTES LATER, I was still waiting for my food -- and the place was NOT that busy, either, since less than half the tables were occupied. It should NOT take any halfway-competent restaurant kitchen 20 minutes to do bacon, eggs, and toast. "The Egg And I" would have had my order out in half that time.
