During our latest visit, mom tried the seasonal Spiked Lavender Lemonade and I had the Lavender Lemon Mimosa. Both were light, refreshing and just different enough to be fun. The Market Veggie Sandwich was so fresh and wholesome, I felt downright pious eating it. The Sweet Honey Pecan Salad was the perfect companion for my 2 For You. Ambiance was fine. Clean ladies' restrooms Service was good although it would be helpful if servers wore a name tag - even if it is a pseudonym to protect their privacy-. I wanted to give her a tip in person rather than leave it on the table in cash. I had trouble finding her mostly because I didn't know her name. It was pretty clear right away that my seven year-old niece did not like the grilled cheese. She said it tasted funny or whatever so I tried it and thought the same thing. It was gross. The server gave us a coupon for a future kids' meal. I think they should've offered the option of removing it from the ticket. The coffee was amazing. I had a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The bacon was very good, but the eggs and potatoes had little to no flavor that to them kind of blah or bland and I kind of decided maybe I just don't like first watch. I have been there in the past and gotten pancakes or a Belgian waffle and couldn't get too excited about either one of those. Came for breakfast with my mom and aunt prior to finishing last minute Christmas shopping. They were busy as it was Christmas Eve and a lot of people were out and about, we put our name on the waitlist and were told we would have a 15 minute wait. We waited a little less than 15 minutes before being seated. Our server came over immediately and grabbed our drink order. I ordered a purple haze, which is always delicious. As a small stop on our trip to see family in Missouri, First Watch has never failed to feel like home. The service provided by Luis at this location was top-notch, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The dining room was very clean and the central lighting fixture was beautiful. We were seated as a party of four immediately due to checking in online. My wife enjoys the seasonal breakfast burrito, stating it has a bit of a kick in the spice department but it elevated the taste of the avocado/cheese/meat combination. My trifecta breakfast platter was especially notable for the warm berry compote that topped the powered sugared Belgian waffle, and the bacon was perfectly crunchy and salty. They switch up the menu with the seasons so there are constantly new foods to try. I have never disliked one of my meals from First Watch. I also never feel gross and greasy after eating here which is how I feel sometimes leaving other breakfast restaurants. They offer breakfast and lunch - I've gone for both and it's allll tasty. The service can get a bit slow when they get busy. You can get in line on the app which is definitely the way to go on the weekends if you don't want to wait for a table. This whole chain seems to be reliable, and I've never had a bad meal at any of their locations. I'm addicted to the Million Dollar Bacon, but there are a lot of really yummy, healthy choices on their menu. Both the Ham and Gruyere Omelet and the Ham Gruyere Melt are wonderful, and I especially like the Classic Benedict. The Avocado Toast is also quite good. They also have a really nice selection of fresh juice combinations. My favorite is the Kale Tonic. The atmosphere is lively, and the place is usually packed. The service is always good, and they have a very unique menu that is both delicious and healthier than a lot of other breakfast/brunch places. We really love coming here. read more

Watching Courtney and the rest of the masked employees working under these weird conditions made me glad I faced the kitchen. Seeing employees wipe down tables and chairs after costumers leave made me happier. Not having normal salt, pepper and condiments on the table is weird, but understandable. The egg white omelette was good and healthy with mushrooms, onions and hash browns plus side on salsa. Toast was good with only strawberries preserves (what happened to having real butter?) Had the ham and gruyère omelette and the BEST cocktail of my entire life. I don't usually order omelettes when out but this was calling my name and it was fantastic - stringy gruyère, fresh herbs, and tender slices of ham. Served with their dressed greens, it was so good I've been thinking about it for five days now. They also had really good gluten free toast, served with delicious strawberry jam. I tried my boyfriend's bloody mary and it was also tasty. He inhaled the slice of million dollar bacon that came with it so i cant comment on that this time but it seemed great! The real star of the show was the Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk cocktail. Not a huge fan of cream and alcohol together but this was the best of both worlds. It was creamy, sweet, and refreshing, with hints of cinnamon and coffee. I could very happily drink it everyday, probably all day, but then I'd get no work done to make money to eat here. Cons: -the food, all of it unfortunately. Everything was bland and lacked flavor. We asked for the potatoes well done & extra crispy and they looked pretty much like boiled potatoes with no seasoning. Additionally it cost almost $2 for cheese to be added to scrambled eggs, although we went to the other first watch on Beale and it was free. -service wasn't too good. Although initially she was attentive she (nor anyone) came to check on us once we got our food for over 20 minutes until we went searching for the check.
