    Pit Master Plate with Ribs

TLDR: brisket is the best and overall decent place I visited this spot with a friend who lives nearby. The location is decent, and the food was better than I expected. The brisket was perfectly cooked--definitely the standout, much better than the ribs and chicken. The mac and cheese was just okay. The sweet tea was excellent--I'd definitely recommend it as your drink of choice. Service was fast, and our waiter was attentive. The ambiance wasn't anything special, but I'd absolutely return for the brisket and sweet tea.

Foggy Bottom never disappoints to provide great service and tasty bbq. My husband and I usually spilt the sampler plate, which comes with three meats, two sides, and toast. We opted for ribs, wings, brisket, fries, and Mac 'n cheese. Everything was served hot and fresh.

OMG!! Their brisket is off the hook! Great sides and sauce too! We just had a catering event for about 40 ppl and they took great care of us! Highly recommend stopping in or using for events. We had them cater a celebration at The Works in ATL! Big thanks to Foggy Bottom!!

We really enjoyed our meal at Foggy Bottom BBQ. We started with the Cajun fried ribs, which were the best part of the whole meal! They were perfectly seasoned with a beautiful, crispy crust and fall off the bone tender rib meat underneath. It didn't even need the dipping sauce they came with! We both had the pit master combo, between us we tried brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs and smoked wings. Not a single complaint, all meats were full of smoky flavor and moist. 2 notes on the sides (which are personal preference) I like my slaw a little more salty/vinegary and same for the Brunswick stew. Theirs is definitely more sweet. BUT we stirred in some of the Carolina style bbq sauce and then it was perfect! Mac n cheese was creamy and well seasoned and the potato salad was our favorite style....like a loaded baked potato with sour cream. Texas toast was buttery and crunchy. Cherry on top was excellent, friendly, welcoming service. We will definitely be back for more BBQ!

Anytime you don't smell the makings of a real bbq restaurant, I.e. that smoke in the air, it's probably a good sign, that you should probably go elsewhere. I ordered the a platter with ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. The pulled pork was mediocre at its best, the ribs were decent and the brisket didn't have the right ratio of fat content when ordering fatty brisket. The appetizer to me was the best....it was fried pickle spears. It was lightly dusted in breading that gave it a nice flaky crust.

Ribs here are great - they sometimes run out so call before you show up!! Ribs and whatever in the pit master plate. Yes it's a lot of food but totally worth it. Not sure why you're debating this. Okra is excellent here. The Mac and cheese is not so great to me. The spicy sauce is the superior sauce.

Today I felt like some smokey BBQ and Foggy Bottom was in my route. This is my third time visiting this resto. Now, the first couple visits was fine not great but ok. Considering it's not many BBQ spots in this area and I didn't want to go anywhere else so I stopped. I ordered a full rack of ribs w/ baked beans and collards. Also a pulled pork plate w/ mac & cheese and potatoe salad, and added side of bisket. All I have to say is I shouldn't have stopped. My boyfriend and I was very disappointed. Let me start with the pull pork. The meat didn't have ANY FLAVOR AT ALL. I mean at all. No smokey flavor nor BBQ smell. It tasted like it had been boiled in just water and then drained. I literally had to put my own seasonings on it. Now I asked for BBQ sauce on the side because I like to taste the meat first. I feel like BBQ spots want to smother they're meat with BBQ sauce to camouflage the fact that they can't BBQ. With that being said, I don't know if Foggy Bottom got a new person to smoke the meat or way. But it was horrible. The ribs was covered in sauce and I know I ask for sauce on the side. But I didn't see it until I got home. But still it wasn't an enjoyable meal. The Mac & cheese and baked beans was about the only thing we could eat without frowning. Again my first experience here was ok but wasn't bad enough for me not to come back. Hint that's why I came back. But I think this will be my last time.

You know the phrase "hole in the wall"? Well, this place is the hole within the hole. You can't see it from the road, not even the parking lot. You turn at the sign, onto a broken drive, in between two buildings, and look left. You'll see the gravel/asphalt combo parking. There she is. A home turned restaurant. Walk in, meet the little ladies, get seated and order the succulent, tender, juicy, dripping off the bone BBQ. The place is weathered and the seating interesting but the service is friendly and the food is good. The only thing that needed some attention was the bathroom. The locals know where this place is and they keep coming back. As an added bonus they have Dr. Pepper.

We like this place a lot. We come here about once every couple months as it's a bit of a drive from home. For starters we've tried the BBQ nachos & potato skins. We really like both. We always split the Pit Master plate (choice of 3 meats, 2 sides, pickles & bread). Prices are typical BBQ prices. We've always received good service. We'll continue to return.

Listen! I ate and left no crumbs...literally!…read more I was looking for a breakfast spot and this place popped up. It's one of those places that you don't know exist unless you know it's there. It's located on the corner of Webb Ginn Rd and Grayson Hwy and is connected to a Shell gas station. When I walked in, it reminded me of someone's kitchen, which I really loved. Very warm and inviting. There were pictures on the wall of different celebrities. I'm a big OutKast fan so I definitely enjoyed them paying homage to OutKast and of course my Falcons. So the restaurant is New York City food infused with southern comfort which is so intriguing to me. They have a very nice and expansive menu from seafood, burgers, and breakfast items. They even have vegan options as well. The kind lady that took my order did say that everything on the menu is sold all day. I asked her how long had they been open and she said last June made a year. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the Oreo cookie crunch cheesecake but to my horror, the kind lady said something about they did not have dessert. Now I'm not sure if they had ran out or just wasn't serving dessert at that time but it was just after 11am when I got there, so it was lunch time hours. Needless to say, I was disappointed but the food definitely made up for me. The shrimp and grits were AMAZING! The sauce was what really did it. The biscuit had like a honey topping and was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion size was perfect! I'm thinking really hard y'all but honestly, I have to say that, that was the BEST shrimp and grits I've ever had. I'm looking forward to going back and getting that Oreo cheesecake and I really want to try the hoagie.

Dusty windows, flickering neon, and a gas pump that hasn't worked since the Clinton administration. But behind a creaky door and a scratched-up counter sits the holy grail of sandwiches: the world's best BLT. Served on thick, toasted sourdough that crackles just right under your bite, the bacon comes in unapologetically fat slabs -- smoky, crisp, and curled like it has a story to tell. The lettuce? Iceberg, shredded fresh and cold like it was pulled straight from a mountain stream. The tomatoes are impossibly red, juicy, and somehow always in season, kissed with just enough salt to make your lips tingle. And the mayo -- homemade, garlicky, and spread edge to edge -- binds the whole miracle together. There's no music playing, no Instagram signage, and the cook, a retired Marine named Earl, only grunts when you compliment his food.
