The Chopped Italian

Italian was killer!! A lot of food and a really great price as well. Service was great as well.

Entrance

Do not skip this place just because you think you are pulling into a gas station. My wife ordered shrimp and grits and we couldn't believe how completely good it was, the grits were prepaired absolutely perfect, the shrimp was cooked perfect the base and flavor was pure skill and care. I had pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage and all of it was fresh and cooked with care, all 3 tasted perfect and the cook knows how to cook great fresh food. Peach tea is delicious and he makes it himself. The whole place is clean (even the bathroom). The young man that took our order was super nice and had a smile, the owner / cook was very professional and friendly. The menu had a lot to choose from. Everyone needs to visit The City Bodega Cafe. :)

Chopped The City Chopped Cheese

Everything was amazing! I walk in as a first timer and I'm greeted with smiles and really good information about the food. Also, the menu looked so good. I didn't know what to order. Finally settled on a steak and chopped Italian and when I say you can't go wrong with either one....... You can't go wrong with either one they were both amazing! Best sandwich I "ve had in a very, very long time.

Ok! I wanted to like everything about this place! However, I did not like the catfish! It was doughy and the batter was a little too salty and was falling off the fish! I did enjoy the cheese grits and the biscuit was soooo good! I will go back and try something different but will never get the fish again! Service was good! I do suggest calling ahead!

Chicken sausage, egg and cheese on a kaiser roll. A lot of egg and some sausage links inside but it was

I found this gem of a place in Lawrenceville. Seems like the hidden gems are always next to the gas stations. It's a small takeout restaurant that serves up NY-style food including breakfast and lunch. When you walk into a place owned by someone from NYC, you will know it from the ambiance and how they represent it with pride. Loved the display with some of my favorite hip hop artists from my era! The staff were very friendly and made sure that my order was correct. I ordered the chicken sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich along with a bacon and egg sandwich. They are both served on a Kaiser roll. It might be NY themed but the serving size will please Southerners. The food was amazing! And make sure that you try the mango lemonade. Listen! I might become a regular on weekends. Don't sleep on this spot.

My first time ordering from here, I ordered online. The shrimp and sausage are good! This is my first time having grits & they aren't bad but I don't think it's my preference but I will definitely order from here again with something else on the menu. The portion is big! Too much food for me in one sitting, it also came with a honey biscuit that was delicious. I don't think there is another store like this around here which makes this place a must try

The time ordered is 10:59 am. The time the order was received is 11:55 am

I waited for an hour for a breakfast burrito, grits and potatoes. I'm not sure if the food is good or not but an hour wait IN THE ESTABLISHMENT is a little excessive! Hopefully the food is good but based on how long it takes orders to come out I don't think I will be back. I'm sad because I was so excited.

Very unassuming location in a gas station strip. So cute on the inside. Sandwiches and fries were delicious.

The host said it was to celebrate the spring season since they did a apres ski theme during the winter. So festive. Okay so boom, we came here on a whim since we were going to a concert in the area later that evening. Surprisingly it wasn't busy for a Saturday which I expected it to be. Unfortunately though they had upcoming reservations so we weren't able to sit in the main room. We sat in their second dining room which was off to the side but still decorated. Our service was still good and the waiter was very attentive. For apps, we got the She Crab soup. I would've preferred for the crab meat to be sprinkled on top vs. in the soup but nonetheless it was still delicious. Super fresh!! Omg. I even contemplated on switching my entree to the stuffed grouper to get some more crab meat. I ended up getting the Shrimp scampi which was a great choice. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint with the shrimp. 6 jumbo pieces. Omg. The entree was done pretty well and it was just the right portion size. If we had more time, I would've ordered their toffee bread pudding or the honey crème brulee but that's all the more reason to come back. Oh and order the It was all a dream cocktail. It tastes like vanilla. Done to perfection.

The World's Best BLT in a Lonely Gas Station Corner…read more Tucked into the dim corner of a run-down gas station off Highway 14 is The Griddle Stop, a place so unassuming you'd drive past it a hundred times without a second thought. Dusty windows, flickering neon, and a gas pump that hasn't worked since the Clinton administration. But behind a creaky door and a scratched-up counter sits the holy grail of sandwiches: the world's best BLT. Served on thick, toasted sourdough that crackles just right under your bite, the bacon comes in unapologetically fat slabs -- smoky, crisp, and curled like it has a story to tell. The lettuce? Iceberg, shredded fresh and cold like it was pulled straight from a mountain stream. The tomatoes are impossibly red, juicy, and somehow always in season, kissed with just enough salt to make your lips tingle. And the mayo -- homemade, garlicky, and spread edge to edge -- binds the whole miracle together. There's no music playing, no Instagram signage, and the cook, a retired Marine named Earl, only grunts when you compliment his food. But when that sandwich hits your table (a wobbly Formica top near the vending machine), the world slows down. You forget you're alone. You forget the gas station smell. You forget everything but the next bite. Five stars. No frills. No fuss. Just the kind of meal that makes you question every fancy sandwich you've ever overpaid for. Earl doesn't serve happiness, but he'll sure as hell give you the sandwich that feels like it.

Excellent Food, Excellent Service, Always! You won't be disappointed. The breakfast burrito is a…read morepersonal favorite of mine!
