From the warm welcome to the praise music playing, soothing calm vibes. We ordered the biscuits and gravy and chicken and waffles. The biscuits were soft, buttery and like a warm hug. The gravy was like a punch in the face, but in a good way. Packed with flavor I had never experienced. The fried chicken was SEASONED like your Southern Grandma made it (if I had a southern grandma), the waffle was crisp yet soft and fluffy with a delightful sweetness that was not over powering. The owner was so nice, giving us coffee on the house. This food was like a hug. The restaurant felt like going home. The food was FRESH to order and didn't take a ridiculous time to come out. We drove 25 minutes to get here and it was worth the drive. This isn't just a restaurant, it's a family, a family that's welcomed you in with love in the form of food. Amazing breakfast with great flavor, generous portions, and a reasonable price. I found this spot on DoorDash and decided to give it a try--I'm so glad I did! I ordered the chopped salmon with onions and peppers, scrambled eggs, and grits. Everything was cooked perfectly. The eggs were fluffy, the grits were seasoned so well I didn't even need to add salt, and the chopped salmon reminded me of delicious salmon croquettes. Listen! I ate and left no crumbs...literally! I was looking for a breakfast spot and this place popped up. It's one of those places that you don't know exist unless you know it's there. It's located on the corner of Webb Ginn Rd and Grayson Hwy and is connected to a Shell gas station. When I walked in, it reminded me of someone's kitchen, which I really loved. Very warm and inviting. There were pictures on the wall of different celebrities. I'm a big OutKast fan so I definitely enjoyed them paying homage to OutKast and of course my Falcons. So the restaurant is New York City food infused with southern comfort which is so intriguing to me. They have a very nice and expansive menu from seafood, burgers, and breakfast items. They even have vegan options as well. The kind lady that took my order did say that everything on the menu is sold all day. I asked her how long had they been open and she said last June made a year. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the Oreo cookie crunch cheesecake but to my horror, the kind lady said something about they did not have dessert. Now I'm not sure if they had ran out or just wasn't serving dessert at that time but it was just after 11am when I got there, so it was lunch time hours. Needless to say, I was disappointed but the food definitely made up for me. The shrimp and grits were AMAZING! The sauce was what really did it. The biscuit had like a honey topping and was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion size was perfect! I'm thinking really hard y'all but honestly, I have to say that, that was the BEST shrimp and grits I've ever had. The service was very family oriented because she helped me decide what I wanted like she knew me for a while haha. Come to find out it is a family establishment. We were craving breakfast food (we don't do Waffle House-lol) after being out all day and we caught this place right before closing, and they didn't treat us like they were closing, they cooked our veggie omelettes to order, so the food was hot and fresh, the home potatoes were seasoned to perfection and again, that biscuit was not playing, all soft and yummy on the inside and flaky on the outside. Do not skip this place just because you think you are pulling into a gas station. My wife ordered shrimp and grits and we couldn't believe how completely good it was, the grits were prepaired absolutely perfect, the shrimp was cooked perfect the base and flavor was pure skill and care. I had pancakes, scrambled eggs and sausage and all of it was fresh and cooked with care, all 3 tasted perfect and the cook knows how to cook great fresh food. Peach tea is delicious and he makes it himself. The whole place is clean (even the bathroom). The young man that took our order was super nice and had a smile, the owner / cook was very professional and friendly. The menu had a lot to choose from. I found this gem of a place in Lawrenceville. Seems like the hidden gems are always next to the gas stations. It's a small takeout restaurant that serves up NY-style food including breakfast and lunch. When you walk into a place owned by someone from NYC, you will know it from the ambiance and how they represent it with pride. Loved the display with some of my favorite hip hop artists from my era! The staff were very friendly and made sure that my order was correct. I ordered the chicken sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich along with a bacon and egg sandwich. They are both served on a Kaiser roll. It might be NY themed but the serving size will please Southerners. The food was amazing! And make sure that you try the mango lemonade. Listen! They define "Brunch" (for me) Okay, it's a hole-in-the-wall and takeout only, but it is good food. I get the fried catfish and grits almost every weekend. Hubby likes shrimp and grits. We call ahead and my mouth starts watering before we pickup. The portions are huge! The place is clean and has a very high score. The staff is quick, friendly, and efficient. Some times a little aggravating when they take a call in the middle of handing me my food because it's so hard to wait on good things. But I know the person placing the order will be happy and a busy business will stay open. They are open all week and also have game day specials. As soon as I entered this cafe the ambiance gave me that down home feeling and a completely warm welcome . Bodega , serves their sensational breakfast all day . The menu was very easy to interpret . cashier , the owners son was very friendly and helpful with our food order . I ordered the breakfast special with an extra sausage patty. My out of town guest from Tallahassee Fl. here to attend a FAMU football game had the breakfast with sausage and coffee. Both of our orders came very quickly. I will have to say that this was the most delicious breakfast I've had in Snellsville and Atlanta. Each item was cooked to perfection; the eggs , grits and sausage were so delicious!
