This is a small place with 4 tables that sit four each. You go up to the counter and place your order with a super friendly lady. She is just so sweet! We ordered to go: 1lb each chicken livers and chicken gizzards. They were still crispy and delicious when we got home. Perfectly fried. This is another restaurant we found by accident that turned into a hidden gem for us. We were in the area and wanted to have lunch and as it turns out, Fish N Chix was in the same business complex we were already in. We both ordered the fish dinner, added French fries, baked beans, Mac & cheese and coleslaw slaw for our sides. I can easily say the fish filets were absolutely great, fried golden brown, seasoned perfectly with just the perfect amount of breading. They were about the best I've ever eaten anywhere. All the sides were excellent although the Cole slaw, fresh and creamy, was a bit sweet for me. The baked beans, Mac n cheese and fries were great. They have about every sauce you can add to fish, hot, hotter, malted vinegar, tartar sauce. The owner handed me their own version of hot sauce which was excellent. Ask for it, it's worth it. It has a sweet beginning then heat. The counter service was excellent, helpful, friendly and since it was our first time, she helped us quite a bit. Fish N Chix is definitely worth finding, the food is just so good, fresh and priced reasonably for the quality. There were many take out orders being processed while we ate in the restaurant. It isn't super large but it's very clean and bright inside. On this visit, Fish N Chix did a fantastic job. We will definitely be back. Nice work Fish N Chix. read more

This is some of the best friend chicken I've ever had. The bone in thighs were super flavorful and juicy. Their tenders are massive. Their fries fantastic. I love their Mac and cheese and collard greens as well. Friendly and fast service. Only four tables inside so seating is limited. Honestly I loved everything about this place and can't wait to try more of their menu. read more

Because the chicken we had delivered this week and was so good, we wanted to try out the fried fish and shrimp. I ordered the 2 pc fried fish dinner which comes with 2 sides Mac & cheese and baked beans. Also ordered the 10 pc fried shrimp dinner with French fries and Mac & cheese for the sides. Biggest disappointment! The shrimp was nonexistent, some much breading and the shrimp was just a thin slice of a shrimp. Definitely will never order again. The fish was overcooked and very dry needless to say won't order again. As far as the sides French fries not very good nor tasty, mac & cheese was good so was the baked beans. Found out I was also charged extra for the tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. Unfortunately I wasn't even able to eat 2 pieces of the shrimp, this order was a big NO. The chicken we got before was excellent but the fish and shrimp we will never order again! A real shame for how much it cost us. Very disappointing! read more

So far, I've had Fried Fish, Gator Bites, Fried Chicken and Cheeseburger during different visits here and they were all great! For sides, I've had Cole Slaw, Collard Greens and Mashed Potatoes and gravy and they were all delicious. The owners and staff are friendly. Sophie, one of the owners always has a smile and takes the time to chat for a little bit whenever I visit. This Mom & Pop place has very good food and is very clean. The fried chicken here is better than when we had Chicken Pantry a mile or 2 further down the road! If you miss getting Chicken Pantry takeout this is the best alternative! IYKYK! I called a family order in over the phone and picked up about 20 minutes later. Everything was hot fresh and delicious! I was impressed to see their fries are homemade too! It is so much better than frozen! If you have a family to feed they have great options to please! Keep in mind, this is more of a takeaway style. First time trying this place after driving by it many times, and I honestly wish I had stopped sooner. The food was excellent--especially the chicken, which is a must-try. The owners were very friendly, and one of them gave me their "super sauce," which was great. The restaurant was clean, which is a big plus. Unfortunately, the experience was negatively impacted by the woman working the register, I believe they called her Joan. She was rude, short, and her attitude did not match the otherwise welcoming vibe created by the owners. After taking my order, Joan was extremely loud and unprofessional with some men in the dining area, making the environment uncomfortable. Another customer waiting for their order appeared to notice the same behavior. The food and the owners are absolutely worth coming back for, but the front-of-house service needs improvement. I will return, but I hope to avoid dealing with "Joan" in the future. read more

Good good at a good price! I've been looking for an alternative to the slow-as-molasses KFC here. And don't even mention Popeyes as that place is so nasty inside I can't imagine they keep the food prep areas any cleaner. No, they don't have the Colonel's 11 herbs and spices, but they have something KFC forget .. the "fast" part of 'fast food'! At a price cheaper than KFC, or equal to them. Besides they offer salads, fish, okra, mushrooms, onion rings, baked beans, Mac& cheese, rice & gravy as well as hamburgers or cheeseburger's! read more
