***Update*** I know it's called Hot Diggity Dog HOWEVER, they need to be hot diggity hamburger!! I had to update and give the 5th start for this cheeseburger that I got today for lunch!! In January 2026 my wife and I happened Accross Hot Diggity dog and Shake and it's owner David Zummo. Over the course of the next 10 days we visited Hot Diggity Dog and Shake four times. Each time David and his staff greeted us as if we were long lost family. We tried many differnt hotdog options with fries and shakes. Each time they delivered the food to our truck and they never had to ask which vehicle was ours. They were and are that good. My credentials, over the course of a normal week I eat hotdog at least twice every week. I have traveled to 49 state and eaten at hundreds of hotdog stands, restaurants and yes, even gas station hot dog venues. Hot Diggity dog is number one in quality of food, number one in quality of service and in the top two in overall value. Stopped in for a quick lunch after driving up to see family in the area. The girls at the window were friendly and the owner was walking around checking in with everyone to make sure everything was good. I ordered the chili and cheese dog which tasted good and I would definitely recommend it and will order it again. read more

I have not been to Hot Diggity Dogs in over 10 years and since there is a new owner I decided why not give them a try! We went on a cold evening so there was hardly anyone there. That did not stop the staff from being pleasant and welcoming! The menu has a very good variety of hot dogs and burgers. You order at a window and wait for your name to be called out. We honestly only waited about 8-10mins and our order was ready. The Chicago dog was loaded with all the toppings you would want with this style hot dog and it was delicious!!!! The onion rings were hot and crispy with a good portion. This is definitely a Bunnell icon and needs to continue to have community support! read more

Their peach cobbler was probably the worst thing we tried, I'm not sure what they were going for but it was awful. The place was expensive, with inaccurate pricing from the menu board to the receipt, and the food quality itself was not worth the cost. The sandwich was fine, nothing to write home about, their hotdogs have also gone down the drain. I used to enjoy this place but I cannot recommend a place I wouldn't be willing to return to. I have been to this hotdog stand a couple of times over the years, and previously it has always been good. I was expecting the same this time around as well, but sadly the experience was not up to par. This is a hot dog shack... that is the best way to put it. They make hot dogs and other assorted fast food type items, but mostly hot dogs, delving into the gourmet hot dog world as well. It is counter service, though they do bring your food out to you once you have ordered, and there is some really nice outdoor seating to the South of the building. I went for a Mexican Dog with fries and a drink. The drink is as expected, soda fountain kind of stuff. The fries I received were overdone and quite greasy, which was sad. My hot dog was also overdone, and had split on both ends. The toppings on the dog were excellent, mind you... it was just sad that they had overcooked the entire affair. read more

I was finishing up at the mechanic and wanted to grab a bite for lunch. I love a good loaded hotdog and had to check this cool spot out. Going in, the place had that touristy/hippy dippy/resort feel to it. For today, I just ordered 1x chili cheese dog to go. Moving on with my review, my hotdog today was really good! Most hotdogs I've tasted are dry, have no sauce, and are extremely bready. However, the hotdog meat itself tasted like it was made with quality ingredients, grilled wonderfully, possessed fresh toppings, and deliciously packed with flavor on every bite! I also added some of the hot sauce they left out by the condiments area, and it tasted even better! Service was also fast and friendly. Overall, Hot Diggity Dogs is a completely underrated hot dog spot, and I'm for sure coming back here when I'm in the area again. Nice job 5/5! read more

I called to make a complaint about an event that occurred. Asked to speak with the manager. Lady on the phone stated she was the manager asked her name refused to provide me hers. I gave her mine and asked for hers again. She stated she didn't have to provide her name and proceeded to hang up on me. People don't waste your well earned money here. The people are rude even the so call manager and view those different from them as inferior and the treatment gets worst with employees yelling at customers. Giving you wrong orders or nasty old soggy hotdogs. I had gone to pick up my order when I pulled up to the window the lady there immediately closed it on me. Didn't even say give me a minute or I'll be right with you. She said nothing. Made me wait while doing nothing inside. Then proceeded to yell at me like she was my mother. Hey if you don't want people buying that okay with me so many other places to spend my money on, then this little nasty spot where people have no manners or education on how to be respectful to others. The so called employee name is Stephanie who knows if that is her real name but she should be ashamed of herself treating people like that. I have witness her actions towards other customers and myself. Surprise she's been there that long but after reading some on the reviews here about the owner now I'm not surprised. This place is amazing! If you've never stopped by, you absolutely should. So many great options available! They have a wide variety of different hotdog and burgers along with many other menu items. The prices are great too, for the size of the hot dog and burgers you can't beat that price. I got the hot diggity dog and it was awesome! Had so many toppings, and was very flavorful and delicious. Really love what David the new owner has done with the place. Used to come here before he owned it and he's definitely turned that place around for the better. This is an adorable hot dog stand but don't be fooled by the name! While the hot dog was amazing there is a full menu of burgers and all sizes of dogs. I had a chocolate shake and fries....and those fries were the very best I've tasted....hot. crispy, fresh and perfectly salted! Can't wait to go back! Excellent all the way around! Best place to crush your junk food craving. I tried the trailer park dog, and my hubby had the corn dog! The corn dog was fluffy and light, not greasy like most places. The trailer park dog was fun, crunchy Fritos, cheese and coney sauce! Onion rings were spot on, piping hot and delicious! They brought our pup a bowl of water and milk bones. Tons of different hot dog options, milkshakes, burgers, etc. I highly recommend the corn nuggets. The atmosphere is wonderful, outdoor seating, there's even a a little pond with fish. If you love old fun tacky (in a good way) signage, you'll love looking at all they have. The owner Dave is very nice, you can tell he cares a lot about the place. Price point is also phenomenal. My boyfriend and I can eat here for $20 for both of us, we can barely do that at McDonald's anymore, and I'd much rather support small + local. We were disappointed with this place that we wanted to love! Food was very mediocre; chili looked like dog food; fries were ok (but we left most of them and all the onion rings for the squirrels). Stopped in on my way home from NSB. A little disappointed. I ordered the Trailer Park sausage (sausage, with chili and cheese topped with fritos) a small BBQ beans and cheese fries. The sausage was split down the middle lengthwise, which was weird and made it harder to eat. It was on a bun that was far too large in length and height. The sausage itself was OK, the chili was decent, but the cheese.....the cheese was like cheez-wiz, the kind in a jar not the spray and kinda ruined the dog. Pretty much any kind of shredded cheese would have been better. The Fritos were Fritos, cant mess that up. Had the bun been a brat bun instead of a hoagie, and the cheese even a generic shredded mix, it would have been far better. The fries were undercooked, and topped with a ton of the cheez-wiz like sauce. I ate like 10 of them at most. The beans were awesome though. They had flavor, and some BBQ in them. I wish I had gotten a large and skipped the fries. The sitting area was nice. I sat in the main area that had a bar, some neat round tables and some picnic tables. There was a smaller sitting area on the opposite side with just 2 picnic tables. I gave 3 stars because the place looked cool, the food was served fast, and the beans were awesome. I'm willing to bet that some of the other items on the menu are awesome too....just stay away from anything with 'cheese'. read more

This was our first time in Bunnell, and, thus our first experience at Hot Diggity Dogs. We got the bacon cheddar dog and the buffalo wings. I really liked the bacon cheddar dog, especially the toasted martin's bun. The wings were a good size and cooked well, but I feel like they had no buffalo sauce. WOW!!!!! Our party stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and were blown away!!! My mother had a delicious Slaw dog and my grandmother had a one with relish, mustard, and onions-- they both loved them. My grandmother got a vanilla shake that she had been CRAVING, and she loved it as well. I helped her and appreciated that it employed the correct ratio of sweetness to creaminess-- very milky, but not overly sweet-- perfect. I had a cheesesteak with provolone, onions, and peppers-- delicious!!! Additionally, I had their chicago dog which was great-- met my VERY high expectations. The dog was so good that I ordered two more dogs 2-go before I had even finished the cheesesteak! I got a Slaw dog with mustard and onions and enjoyed it very much. The second was a traditional NYC, with brown mustard, onions, and lots of sauerkraut! Also delicious! Couple the delicious food with the friendly smiles, prompt service, and perfect pricing (very reasonable, about 30% less than what I would expect to pay) and you have a real winner. We can't wait to come back to try the Reuben dog as well as their cheeseburgers. Thank you again!!! (p.s., major kudos for toasting the bun!
