TL;DR: You're paying a HEFTY HEFTY premium for a money hungry business to come perform a simple wipe down on your windows and frames, with any extra effort (dirt removal, etc.) to be charged at $120/hour more. Friendly employees with terrible company policies. Armando initially quoted me cleaning for windows panes and window frames which was an amount higher than I expected but I was fine with it since the windows were dirtier than I had expected. He promised me "clean" and I did not want to scrub them myself so I went along with it. He identified paint on the windows which was a separate charge to remove and I was fine with that but what he failed to inform me of was hard water stains (this will be important later). I book Fish's service and Armando says it will take him 8 days roughly to come perform the service. No rush, no worries; I believed in the company's quality so I did not mind the wait. His crew came over and they were extremely nice and accommodating. I told them everything that needed to be done and they were very receptive of my comments. They begin their work and I head out to run my own errands. 3 hours later when I get back, they are finished and told me to come inspect the job. I was appalled. There was dirt on the window frames still, there were streaks on some of the windows, the screens weren't all put back, there were white-ish stains on the front, back, and one of the side windows. It looks as if they had to just used Windex to wipe down the windows and the frames had not been touched at all. I talked with the young gentleman that came to clean and I expressed my frustration to which he replied "hard water stains are a separate charge. Did Armando tell you?" I said "no but that's fine." I inquired about all the dirt on the window frames and he told me that "dirt is a foreign substance so that's a separate charge." He took a towel and started rubbing one of the dirt patches which took off some of the dirt, implying that they DONT EVEN SCRUB your window frames as part of their estimate. I'm stuck $580 ($193/hour of work) down the drain with windows that have stains and streaks and window frames that are filthy. I reluctantly signed their paperwork since they couldn't leave without a signature. I contacted Armando and his first comment was "well richard did you read your initial quote? It says that hard water stains aren't included." Well, I was not informed that there were hard water stains until AFTER the service was completed; we discussed that paint removal would be extra. Didn't you guys mention that my windows would be clean? Cause they sure are not. Constructive criticism: give estimates that would actually get the windows clean instead of overcharging for deceptive business practices. Will update with pictures soon. read more

I have 18 windows in my home. a really big job at 76. Called Armondo at Fish Window Cleaning in Downey he responded quickly to my call. He was able to come out later that day and give me a bid. I was scheduled for the following week. The cleaners were here early 2 of them. Cleaned windows inside and out, cleaned the window tracks which I can never get completely clean, cleaned and replaced all screens. Yes, it was rather costly but, if you do the math I have 18 windows. They handled each window twice.. then 18 screens cleaned and replaced and the cleaned tracks in window sills.
