I found the Scones to be overpriced and certainly overrated for something that's been touted as the best. So my experience with these came on a recommendation from friends. I happen to be at a location where the truck was parked at a Fred's. So I got two scones. First of all why the jam on my scone? And I guess I can answer that, they were so dry and crumbly that it was a mess to try and eat. The person in the truck never asked me about the jam so I guess that's how they come. Not for my taste. The reason the PNW loves these scones is because no one knows what a scone is, or have had a good one. Fisher's are dry and crumbly and resemble something more like a biscuit that needs a jam or butter to both give it some flavor and also go down without chalking your mouth. I ordered a Fisher Classic Scone ($3). They handed me two scones, perhaps because it was close to closing. I gave my second one away. My scone was warm. Omg scones!! Nothing bad to say about this place. Fairgrounds, hot biscuits filled with butter and jam, only like a buck fifty each, you just can't go wrong! Can't beat getting them fresh from the stand, I love that the fairgrounds always have scones available during their events. Fisher Scones are a staple here in the PNW and we are so happy that they have a mobile truck to go around to events and festivals, etc.. I usually stop by the Fairgrounds to grab a bakers dozen (the price is crazy BTW, but usually worth it). When we were leaving the Pumpkin Patch in Kent on 10/16, we noticed the truck in the parking lot. My daughter and I hurried up and put away our pumpkins and veggies, and walked over to the truck. Approaching the line, where there was 2 people in line and a Fisher employee. the employee says to us " I'm sorry ladies, but we are closed". Ok, shoot, but no problem. As we walked away another lady approached the truck and was talking to the employee. As I turned back, they were serving the lady a bag of scones... then another family walks up and they continue to serve them... at this point, I'm wondering what is going on and why we weren't served. I walk back to the truck and asked why they told me they were closed and then continued to serve others. The employee then cops the biggest attitude and became very rude. Saying they closed at 6 (no signage to say so) and that she asked inside and they had some left. Ok fine. Why couldn't she ask when we came up? Why say you are closed and turn people away, but continue to serve others? Then get angry that a customer spoke up. The woman inside the truck was getting an attitude and being very rude and that is not how your treat people and customers. The man asked what I would like and ignored the other employees and continued to help me purchase some for my kids and family. No apologies about the others or nothing. The lady was still talking crap as we were being served. It would have been no problem if they were closed, and that's it. I wish I had all their names, and I hate complaining. I worked in the service industry for a very long time and that is NOT how you run business or treat others. I'm very disappointed in Fisher and that they would hire people like that and allow them to continue working for them. Makes me NOT want to purchase anymore. To clarify, this was on 10/16/22 at the Carpinito Farms pumpkin Patch in Kent. Too bad my review is based on this experience alone. It would have been 5-stars. read more

My wife and I have attended the state fair off and on over the 29 years we've lived in WA state. And of course with all the on going advertisement about scones, we too could not resist temptation. We waited in the six person line as patiently as possible and finally we were next. We paid for our two scones and walked to the end of the small trailer and took our first bite......Talk about about disappointment, the scone was tasteless, no sweetness and most of all it was like eating rough dough. The jelly was OK but this was certainly not the scone we remember. We both deposited about half of the scone in the trash as we walked away thinking they were in such a hurry to produce the product they just forgot that day about quality.
