Beautiful early morning walk…read more It's at the base of the bridge connecting Grand Island to Niagara Falls. The route is on the Grand Island side. The walk is lovely and along the water most of the way. Well groomed, although they recent storms have resulted in some downed trees/branches blocking the path a little. All easily navigable. If you want something low-key and easy to get to this is the perfect spot. I was very pleased at how clear the sand was, perhaps they are using some kind of equipment to get the rocks and wood off the beach because unlike other freshwater beaches I didn't have an obstacle course to get to the water. The life guards were professional but not oppressive. It was a very relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. Would definitely come again if ever in the area.

Clean public restrooms. There is a large playground area for the smaller kids and a few standalone swings here and there. The park has a basketball court as well as a tennis court . You will usually see a few people fishing in the pond (you will also see many geese-this is their hangout). The playground area is loved by my grandchildren and the splash pad is really cute and has kept the kids cool on many days during this hot summer. This is a clean, well maintained park . If I had a preference, I would prefer a few more shaded/tree covered areas in the park , but if you love the sun and don't need any more shade than what the individual shelters provide-this is a great place .

It was a great day to sit in our lawn chairs and look towards the sky. A giant octopus, some kites with really long tails, a parrot, a unicorn. Lots of colors and shapes. There was a tent for kids to make their own kites and a candy give-a-way, also for the kids. Surprised that I saw no food trucks, but they might have been at the other end of the field.

The road within the park could use a lot more than temporary tar and a shovel of stuff that does NOT stay long before the potholes return. They should do it correctly and right, when they consider the crowds that frolic and play here. There isn't even true permanent bathroom facilities here till last year sometime, when temporary facilities were installed. A lot of investment and work is needed here before the park sinks into the sunset. Park is closed after sunset so don't even think of coming here to enjoy the Milky Way or meteor showers, etc. Police will come chase you off.

Lots of room at this enormous park. They had two food trucks providing ice cream and popcorn as well as food options like hot dogs and hamburgers. The fireworks lasted approximately 15 minutes; an impressive display. The park seemed well groomed and clean. They did lack bathroom options so a lot of people were choosing to visit with nature in a far wooded section. I included the sign that was posted near the park entrance. Certainly had me curious!

We started our bike ride on the Shoreline Trail at Niawanda Park and rode through this park. Not…read moreonly is there plenty of parking and benches, but there is a pretty gazebo and another terrace. There is one small playground between Niawanda Park and here, and another playground just a little bit past with swings. There was some sort of hot dog place, but it doesn't appear to be open. I'm not sure if there were accessible bathrooms or not. This stretch of the trail also looks updated. The lines appear freshly painted and the surface is smooth. Next time we ride along the Shoreline trail we might start here instead. It also seems a little less busy.

It will be nice to once the path is fixed and it will nice. It is quiet on this side and great to just enjoy the peace and quiet.
