This place was great! My husband and I went here a few weeks ago. My back and shoulders were completely knotted up and Jimmy gave me some much needed relief. This place is not a spa at all so don't think that. But the massage was great and a great deal (I think it was $40 for an hour). My only complaint was that I could hear the massage therapist snorting and clearing his throat for the full hour...sadly for my husband that was his massage therapist. Safe to say this place is definitely a bargain for the quality of massage. I made my appointment at the beginning of the week. I requested a female and I am happy I did. I was seen right on schedule.They definitely do a deep tissue type of massage and touch you in all your muscular areas (butt) so think about that when booking. My go to massage place when I don't feel like paying an arm and leg for some fancy schmancy place (which is like, always). Fishion is a no frills, hole in the wall massage and acupuncture spot in Chinatown. Don't come here expecting lavender scented towels or a pre-massage foot soak. It's a bare bones type of place but it gets the job done if you have any knots or soreness. Generally you don't need an appointment but call ahead just in case it happens to be a particularly busy day. Also, they charge a little more if you pay with a card. read more

I liked this place. Honestly, it was my first time getting a foot massage and I found this place on yelp. There were a lot of good reviews so I decided to check it out. They received me quickly (no wait) for a half an hour foot massage at last minute. They were very accommodating and explained to me the difference between a regular foot massage and reflexology. I got the regular one because I recently had an intense workout at Equinox (ab class and metcon!), then tennis, and soccer all in the same week. My feet were beat up and my legs were sore. After a half an hour massage from this place, my feet felt soooo much better. The lady who massaged my feet also helped massage my thighs and calves a bit. It was a bit painful because my muscles were tense but I ended up leaving the place feeling great. The part the lady massaged was no longer sore though the areas she didnt still were haha. That was okay. At least I can walk up the stairs with no difficulty compared to before. The only negative I had was that I got a mosquito bite while getting the massage. Because this is a hole in the wall kind of place, and the massage is given in a basement (i'm assuming near a back yard or something), there was possibly a mosquito there. Don't be deterred though, this place is no joke. The people are great and you can tell it is well trusted. A lot of non-asians go to this place. Considering I work in a field that often leaves people hunchbacked, I decided to get a legit massage after experiencing some neck and lower back pain for the past year. After reading reviews and seeing the unbelievably affordable prices ($10/15min), I gave this place a try, and I was not let down. Interestingly, they don't use oil and massage you through a towel, which I think worked out much better. They were able to apply good pressure without slipping from the oil or causing massive skin-on-skin friction. The massage started out relatively soft, as I expect he was feeling out where I needed the most work. The massage got progressively more aggressive, as my masseuse (a older Chinese man) worked on all the knots in my back. At its peak, he was jamming his elbow into my lower back. After 30 minutes, I got up and felt amazing. Rotating my neck and stretching my back never felt so good. Can't wait to do the foot reflexology next time. It looked super relaxing. read more

The is the only place that I go to for acupressure (Tui Na massage). It's a no-frills location and you will likely hear talking and people outside the room but the massage is the best for the price you pay and you will leave feeling great. If you have anything specific you want to work on, you can let them know when they start the massage. I have tried several different masseuses and they all have slightly different techniques. Make sure to tell them if you want more or less pressure. If you are more pain tolerant and like deep tissue massage, Coco and Sophia do a great job. If you'd like a massage that, though still deep, will make you fall asleep, Lisa is amazing. The owner and the desk attendant are also very nice. Tip 1: If you do foot reflexology, you will likely be lead down to the basement. Sometimes the masseuse may bring you down there as well. The basement is quiet and peaceful though and the AC was much stronger down there in the summer so you don't have to sweat while getting worked on. Tip 2: If you know which masseuse you prefer, book it in advance -- I've usually been able to book my preferred time if I call in the day before. read more

The cheapest no-frills massage place in Manhattan. I paid $40 (cash--credit is a bit more) for an hour-long massage. It was great, but is not for the faint of heart (or muscle). They will assume, unless you tell them otherwise, that you want extremely high pressure, so if you're looking for gentle hands, look elsewhere. Also, my masseuse (Katie) was awesome, but spoke very little English. Be sure you physically point out the areas on your body you want them to focus on. I did call the day before to make an appointment, but while I was waiting for my appointment to begin, several people came in and were able to get walk-in appointments. I probably won't come back because I was able to find a place in my neighborhood with similar prices (Long Teng II), but I recommend it for anyone who lives closer to China Town. read more
