I've been here a million times and just realized I've never written a review, probably because it's hard to focus on your phone while getting your feet taken apart and put back together. This place is a treasure. The foot massages can be brutal, not always, but if they find knots, they go after them relentlessly, and with glee. It's not a fancy place, yes, they will use just Vaseline, and it's either pleasantly quiet or busy as hell. They have a specialty and they're really good at it. I have in the past had a chair massage or a lay-down, fully-clothed back-neck massage here in the past. That's fine in a pinch, but again, not their specialty. I'm not even sure how I found out about this place. We had pretty horrible/painful foot massages yesterday. Obviously, for the price, I wasn't expecting too much, but the amount of pain I was subjected to wasn't what I had in mind. The woman massaging my feet was using generic Vaseline instead of lotion. She propped my foot up with a roll of paper towels, which didn't bother me, but added to my this-was-a-mistake thoughts. After a delicious dim sum, this experience ruined a great morning. My massage therapist Tom who is also known as number 5 is and always nice courteous and great. I didn't appreciate the owners giving them a number. So on a random night in Chinatown my sister and I figured why not take advantage of these cheap prices. But we did get exactly what we paid for For $40 I was able to get a 40min body massage and and 20 minute foot massage. The decor inside was very bland and basic and didn't offer any type of personal space. My sister and I were sit in this open room with two lazy boys. We soaked our feet for about ten minutes in extremely hot water with something in it that was a deep blue color. After our feet's were dried and our massage started. She did a good job rubbing my feet the only issue I would say is that the two workers talked non stop to each other which made it very difficult to relax. Luckily I went into the next room which had two beds to get my full body massage. As some already mentioned they do massage you with your clothes on. Which I think is crazy because it's hard to get into all the hard places. But the lady really tried her hardest to work with what she had and did an impressive job in certain areas. At other times it just felt like she was squeezing and pinching my body. I probably won't come back here again, but it was deft an experience ! I just got my first foot massage here, they take your temperature and spray alcohol on bottom of your shoes. I waited about 5 minutes as they prepared a station for me. The female customer next to me receives a phone call and starts talking about a doctors appointment, sending emails, and it goes on for a few minutes. I build up the courage to say " excuse Miss!! Everyone can hear your phone conversation. There is a sign says 'no cell phone use' . People are trying to relax in here." I told the front desk lady about my experience and she seemed not to really care which is why I won't return. Ugh I wish the front desk lady or some workers would enforce the no cell phone use. Fantastic foot & body massages at a great price! Masseuses have great power and will adjust pressure to your liking (I like hitting the pressure points). Location is clean and comfortable with wifi if you want to surf on your phone and tea/water is offered at the end. Please remember to tip the staff and tip well. 1st time. Tues after 7pm. No wait time. Got the C special 30 min foot & 30 min body for $45. The manager (taller man) spoke English & translated everything perfectly to my masseuse (Peter). I had told him about my very sore left side of my neck & shoulder and that I didn't mind a lot of pressure. Which my masseuse focused on more. So I knew the manager perfectly translated my instructions. Some places go too hard or too soft & this was all around perfect. Though w/ a lot of asian places the hard level is extra hard so be careful & if your in pain say something immediately (ouch, no). My masseuse kept on checking in on me saying "OK??" frequently. I have literally been to several ate sketchy massage places in Chinatown Manhattan and this was very clean and professional. For $30 you can have a 40 minute foot massage and a 20 minute back massage. As you enter they require you fully clothed to sit on a very comfortable leather lazy boy recliner. The type that my father would be watching his Sunday night football on. All you need to do is have comfortable pants that can roll up your knees. When you are getting your back massaged your feet are in a foot bath. I had Ken and he did a wonderful job! After your back massage is done you will proceed to then get an amazing feeling foot massage! There are also outlets located next to each chair where you can charge your phone. Even though I have difficulty communicating sometimes, they understand if you say it hurts. While you soak your feet in a hot water with herb, they massage your shoulder, neck and arms for 20 min. I was served very quickly for a 1-hour foot massage without an appointment. The front desk woman told me there would be about a 10 minute and I was taken in 15 minutes. My feet were swollen and I appreciated that I could be accommodated as a walk-in. A male masseur took care of me and he was professional but I felt he used a lot of pressure and it hurt at times. He did lessen the pressure a bit when I pulled back my feet in pain but seemed to continue again later. It was only relaxing when he used soft pressure on my toes but it was short lasting and the massage was mostly rough. I did read the signs upon entry and paid/tipped appropriately in cash at the end. I am glad that they post this up so you know what to expect and there is no awkwardness at the end. Although the swelling in my feet went down after the massage, my legs were hurting for at least two days after. read more

I have tried many places in Chinatown for massages and I like this place the best. You have to walk downstairs into a basement, they keep it very clean. I like the little backroom that has more privacy. I usually get a woman to massage me because the men have hands of steel. But, if you want a really strong massage you can definitely get it there. They soak your feet in a warm tub while they message your shoulders and your back. They are very good at massaging the pressure points in your feet. I feel it helps with my circulation. I go almost every week. I always buy the package price. Buy 10 massages and get two for free. It comes out to $25 an hour. They offer a senior citizen discount for people over 70, it cost them $20 an hour for a foot massage. They need to go before 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I went here on the recommendation of a Chinatown local and was very pleased. Nice serene locale (for a $30/hr place). I got a 20 min back rub followed by a 40 min foot rub. It was painful at times, but great overall. The price was right and they didn't demand a large tip like they do elsewhere in this area. This is my new favorite. I will be back. 2 stars for the massage, 4 stars for the facility. This place is much nicer and more comfortable than many foot massage places in the area. It's downstairs, nicely decorated, heated, really comfortable seating, flat screen tv's. I saw one room with 3 chairs, and 3 women already doing massage. Theres also a waiting area with couches. Husband and I went into a smaller room with 2 chairs. It was really nice and comfortable. The 2 men who did our massage were really nice, but they had absolutely no technique, so it really wasn't a good massage. Husband does not want to go back, but I insist we do go back and try massage from the women. Will update review then. Price was good, I think $30 for one hour. I never ran out of a massage place before but I did with this place, I literally had the worst massage ever here. I used to come here for reflexology, they do an ok job, but don't ever ever come here for back massage. First of all, they massage you fully-clothed, which is pretty terrible. The person massaging me had NO IDEA what he was doing, he was literally pressing and crushing my shoulder bones, absolutely terrible, but wait, this is not even the worst part. In the middle of the massage, he started rubbing my neck and putting some kind of liquid on it, then my skin started burning. I thought it was some kind of chinese medicine but usually they have an herbal smell, this time I smelled nothing. When I was leaving, I took a look and realized the bottle of mystery liquid was RUBBING ALCOHOL!!! Literally, these cheap aholes put rubbing alcohol all over my neck & shoulder! Absolutely disgusting! Needless to say, I feel 100% more terrible than I did before stepping into this place, making it the worst experience ever. I guess it's my mistake for going into this place in the first place, should have known any place offering full-body massage less than 40 bucks shouldn't be trusted. This place is amazing. The moment I walked through the door my husband and I were treated like royalty. The manager noticed I was in tight jeans and provided me with clean jogging shorts to wear so I could enjoy the massage. We decided on the 1 hour $25 foot massage service they offer. We got a neck. Like some of the other reviewers said, the massage itself was not bad, but the service was atrocious. They forced you to tip a minimum of $10, which didn't sit well with me as I believe that it's ultimately up the customer to decide how much to tip. When I politely decline to do so, the staff and management argued with you and passive aggressively called you cheap. They continued to argue with me until I got annoyed and left. It's already rude enough to force you to pay more tip, but to call someone cheap just because they declined is beyond that. They definitely need a lesson in customer service 101. I won't be coming back and definitely would not recommend coming here. There's plenty of other places that you can go to without having to deal with this level of service. read more

The spa I normally go to just raise their prices again so I decided to try this place as it was a bit cheaper. The massage was very good but when I went to pay at the front counter, I was standing there holding out my money for a good 3 minutes before somebody even acknowledge that I was there. I actually probably could have just walked out of the place without paying and they wouldn't have noticed. When I got my change, I went to tip the guy who massaged my feet a 25% tip. As I put it in his hand he just looked at it and the woman at the counter looked over and said, "No! No! No! We tip $10 here." She pointed to a sign on the wall that said suggested tip $10. She then said to me, "Because it's one on one." I pointed out to her that of course it's one-on-one because that's what a foot rub is. There are no group foot rubs. There were about two or three other employees standing there staring me down so I sort of felt obligated to give the man $10. Mind you this is a 33% tip. Not even restaurants, with their Covid charges for this much of a rip off. Friends told me I should have just walked out, but I felt bad for the guy so I gave him the money but I felt like it was highway extortion. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this establishment. The tip is optional. I'm a good tiper to begin with and regularly tip 25 to 30%. But that's my choice. I shouldn't be forced to tip a certain percentage because of business tells me that I should. read more

This is an underappreciated little place in Chinatown with unbelievably cheap massages. $30 buys a full hour of shoulder, neck, back and leg massage as well as a nice hot soak for your feet. The people there don't speak a lot of English but they'll understand when you point and say when it hurts too much. Very nice staff. My mom goes here every time she comes to New York City for her aches and pains. Book an appointment in advance (spots can fill up quick), but they keep very long hours - open 7 days a week, 10am~10pm.
