Gorgeous restaurant! The aesthetics are amazing! It's social media ready for all of your pictures. Hostess was sweet and pleasant. The reason I'm giving it 3 stars was because the service was bad. Our waiter wasn't attentive. He just took our orders and then disappeared. He wasn't attentive at all. We wanted to keep ordering and needless when we finally got his attention, he proceeded to tell us that "the kitchen was closed" when meanwhile we wanted dessert after our brunch; if he would've done his job and checked on us and let us know that there was a time limit, we would've placed our orders; so needless to say he failed as a waiter. read more

I was disappointed with the menu only because I didn't come for brunch. Just so you all know, brunch begins on Fridays now. So, the menu is loaded with breakfast selections. My daughter and I were on a trip to NYC and shopping around SoHo! We made a stop at NOMO Kitchen for lunch. NOMO is in the NOMO SOHO hotel. To walk in you have to walk through the "Tunnel of Love" which is an instagram dream. It's wrought iron arches of flowers, greenery, and lights. There is also a graffiti wall at the entrance. So many photo spots. The restaurant is a like a greenhouse with chandeliers and artwork, lots of natural light. It's a vibe for sure. The front patio has trees and more wrought iron with flowers and greenery. They have a great cocktail / mocktail list. The atmosphere is very upbeat. At brunch there was a live DJ, I had mimosas with my lemon ricotta pancakes, with candied pistachios, fresh berries, real maple syrup was heavenly on this cold weather day. Loved my mimosa, and loved that mocktails are an option for patrons that cannot drink alcohol. The service was top notch, thanks to Trevon, whom went above and beyond to give all of the guests an amazing experience. It was my first time here. We walked in and were able to get a table without a reservation, even though it was almost 3 pm on a Saturday. Our server was pleasant. The food was okay, nothing stands out. I got the traditional eggs Benedict, and the waffles were dry and a bit too sweet for me. The sweet potato fries were just okay, and the fried chicken was decent. The place is connected to the hotel entrance, and the dining room is really spacious and nicely decorated. My one cocktail, ordered at the beginning, I didn't get brought to me until we were ready to checkout and pay, so he had the audacity to give me half off when in my opinion it should've been free lol. The food was okay. I ordered the salmon when I should've ordered the burger. Last time I checked, when you order an appetizer/starter, its supposed to come out before your main course, but of course it didn't. Dude apologized saying he didn't know what happened, and that my wedge salad appetizer ordered would come out with my main course instead. I was just over it. I came with some friends for brunch and it was chefs kiss. Our waitress was super friendly and the food was delicious. I opted for a croque madam with fries and an iced coffee. Let's start off with the positives. I absolutely loved the ambiance when walking in. The space and layout were wonderfully put together. I ordered the lemon ricotta and my friends ordered the breakfast pizza, burger and pesto chicken sandwich respectively. The toasted pistachio on the pancakes were chefs kiss. I really liked the environment and the atmosphere. It felt like a greenhouse and the service was really friendly and accommodating. I feel like the food was very filling in terms of portion size. Nomo Kitchen is absolutely beautiful inside -- the space and decor really make a great first impression. Unfortunately, the experience didn't match the setting. The food was just okay and nothing particularly memorable. We also tried to order a beer and were told they didn't have any available, which was a bit surprising. The most frustrating part came at the end of the meal. When we went to pay, that's when we were informed that the credit card machine was down and they were only accepting cash. This wasn't mentioned at any point before or during the meal. When the waitress told us where the nearest ATM was, she also said she wasn't sure if it was working. My partner ended up having to walk a few streets down to a bank just to withdraw cash so we could pay the bill. While the restaurant itself is gorgeous, it would have been much more professional to inform guests upfront that payment was cash-only. The one star is for the ambiance. We came here on Valentines Day absolute WORST experience. I ordered the chicken ciabatta sandwich & my mom ordered the steak & eggs medium well. The steak came out well done tougher than shoe leather & the ciabatta bread on the chicken sandwich was so hard I could have broke my tooth. The food wasn't the issue though it was the waiter and his snarky attitude. When we complained about our food he instantly got upset and walked off. I then asked to speak to the manager who was white with brown hair wearing a blue seat. He offered no alternative & brought be the check saying he removed the items. Who's to say I didn't want to still eat? I definitely won't be back and this establishment needs to retrain on appropriate customer service. read more

For restaurant week, it was a 3 course meal for $45. What I ordered: - Crab cake beignets - this was the best thing I had and it's shame it was the first dish because I was expecting more. The sauce it came with was good too. - salmon burger - I took off most of the bun and ate a handful of fries. The fries are seasoned with bbq powder. - apple crumble with vanilla ice cream - there was more apple than actual crumble or pie. So not a good ratio. I did not finish it. The space itself is beautiful!! But it's so unfortunate that it was not popping for a Friday night. Ok, let's start with the ambiance. You walk through a plant tunnel mixed with real and fake flowers/plants. It sets the tone for the restaurant. Even though it's in a hotel, it stands alone as they have extra seating in the sidewalk and its own distinct look. Multi colored heart graffiti on the walls, around 6 oversized chandeliers, and for dinner dim lighting. I ordered the bucatini bolegnese which was cheesy and good. A decent portion size but expensive for pasta. Everyone else in my party ordered steaks and burgers. There were no complaints. Come ready to spend a pretty penny because we all ordered wine which was around ~$18-~19. On a Saturday night, it looked like there was only waiter but you couldn't tell. He checked on us often, brought out the food/drinks in a decent time and didn't rush us. Surprisingly, there was also a lot of empty tables. A little overpriced even for NYC for a hotel restaurant under Nomo Soho but great ambience and spacious if you need a space to celebrate a special occasion. We were a group of 7 and a friend was proposing to us to be bridesmaids. Food was okay, nothing special - typical American brunch menu. Drinks and mocktails were also okay but very aesthetically pleasing for the pics. I just wish they offered a special service for my friend who recently got engaged. If you're a party of 6 or more, there's an automatic of 20% gratuity included. I absolutely loved the interior of the place because there is a wide seating area with an open ceiling view and chandeliers. One of my friends arrived a bit late to brunch and our server was very accommodating. He took our orders when we were ready and the food didn't take a long time to come out. My friends got the NOMO Benny and NOMO Pancakes, which were apparently very good. I got the class eggs benedict, which tasted great. The Steak & Eggs was super mediocre. I would skip it. The steak lacks any seasoning and the romesco sauce didn't really help. The cornbread was dry so I stopped after a couple bites.
