They worked with us, and were very helpful when we decided to purchase a salt-water tank a year ago. We were happy to learn that they would service the tank. Now, a year later we have to report that we have been totally let down. Everything has dramatically declined. The customer service is terrible, they don't return our calls - they fail to order the new fish and/or supplies that we ask for, etc. Their inventory of fish and coral has declined. They seemed to have perfected the art of finger pointing when it comes to where the ball got dropped. The pump went out in our tank 5 days ago - we called - they promised to be out to check it yesterday - no show - we had to call - still no date scheduled for a repair/replacement. We might lose everything if someone doesn't get their butt out here. We have spent a boat-load of money on this tank, fish & coral, but are ready to tell them to take it all back ! read more

I stumbled upon this little shop while thrifting on Saturday and decided to check it out. Although we just have a freshwater tank, I still like to check out the saltwater shops in town, maybe someday I will be wealthy enough to splurge on such things?? All of their tanks look beautiful, and they have two large infinity edge tanks in the store as well, which are really cool to look at. The store seems organized, and although I was just browsing, the two guys working there seemed eager to help and were joking around with us about being freshwater tank owners. It was all in fun and made us laugh. I would recommend it based on the cleanliness of the store and the conditions of the fish alone, but since I have no need for saltwater fish or supplies at this time, that's really all I can speak to. read more

We are new to the hobby and decided back in June to go ahead with a salt water aquarium. We researched all the local fish shops in Tucson and hands down the winner was Fishy Bizness. The staff all seemed happy to see us the many times we came in to check and recheck them out. Never once was a staff member in a bad mood or too busy to help. They did our whole set up from start to.....well, it never finishes but we have only shopped with them. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, right? They have ALWAYS been there to answer our "many" questions, and boy, did we have A LOT! I believe no other store in town would have given us this type of customer service. And.....always with a smile! I've never felt like we were a bother to them. They have a huge selection of livestock and the store is clean. If they don't have something in stock, it is a short wait to get it ordered and in the storre for pick up. I like the fact that they are open to browse around the store even the quaratine area. This place really helped me get up and going after my tank crashed. They have just about everything and their display tanks are amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable but there could be more of them. Justin has a world of knowledge and can tell you almost everything about what they have in the store. Great selection of frags and other corals. They have a Facebook page where they post deals and if you sign up for text in the store that will text you deals and discounts. This place is absolutely awesome! Finally a saltwater fish store in Tucson that listens to its customers and is intent on providing them with a wide selection of fish, corals and supplies. I went in to Fishy Bizness for the first time today and was absolutely amazed. Even though they were very busy, three different people asked if I needed any help or had any questions. One of the owners, Dan, gave me a tour of the back room and showed me how they quarantine their fish. They differentiate themselves from all of their competition by using ozone and UV and will not sell any fish until they are absolutely sure the fish are healthy and eating. Their prices were amazing! Dan proudly pointed out how they were able to keep their livestock pricing below online pricing. By purchasing large quantities of supplies and fish in bulk, they are able to pass the savings on to consumers. I am no longer driving up to Phoenix for my saltwater needs! read more

I am from Huntington Beach, CA. I have been looking for a salt water fish store ever since I have moved out here...NONE of the fish stores here in town compare to the ones in California so far. UNTIL, one day I came across this place called Fishy Bizness... It was just like home!!! They have all these beautiful salt water fish and their display tanks are mind blowing! The owner and his employee's were very knowledgeable and gave me so many new ideas on what kind of salt water tanks to build. I wanted to love this store but just can't do it. From the spotty advice given on any subject to the complete lack of understanding of even some of the most basic principals of reef keeping. Bit of advice to the part time employees there: if you don't know.......then say you dont know. Don't make up some nonsense or pretend to know what someone is talking about when you don't. Things like this make an already difficult hobby very frustrating. Even worse than the customer service experience is the live stock. This is the second (and last) time I have picked up fish from this store only to find out within days that all the fish have ich. Thank god I have a quarantine tank otherwise my display tank (you know the thing that has 1000s of dollar worth of livestock in it) would've been contaminated as well. Living in Tucson doesn't give you many options so if I ever need some dry goods in a hurry I MIGHT consider going here. When it comes to the livestock though, I'll pass. I'll take my chances with mail order. At least there I get a credit if anything dies. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to tear down my quarantine tank, boil all the equipment and bleach the tank. Kid in a Candy Store!!! I have been doing salt water reef for 10+ years but I am definitely no expert and I haven't had decent access to Critters and supplies other than by internet ordering for the most part until I found these guys. Many things I still need to learn and these guys have given me a good number of suggestions and guidance and the corals and critters they have in the store.... I cant imagine a better display and availability from any place where even bigger stores and cities are. There is one thing though that hooked Me on them above everything else... I have gone in with issue and seeking guidance and more than once had something catch My eye so bad I just had to have it right then for My reef tank... they all but refused to sell it to Me at the given time because they listened and knew I had some issue in My tank to fix that I was working on... they would have sold it to Me but they were straight up honest enough to remind Me of the issue and tell Me what ever it was I wanted would likely still be there the next time I was in even though I live 2 hours away. That to Me is worth an extra 2 stars! read more

If I could give zero stars, I would at this point. We've been going to this store for a while now and the fish are nice, but the people have some serioisly flawed ideas of what good customer service is. We spoke to 2 different people recently (one being the manager) about someone coming out to care for our fish while we were on vacation, we dropped off our house key, and no one showed up to do so. As a result, we've lost a fish and had damage to our tank due to extremely low water levels. I'm all about giving chances to those who deserve them, but this isn't the first (or even second) "miscommunication" we've had with the people at this store either. There is a very severe lack of communication amongst the employees. I've never experienced constant issues like this with other businesses and when I have run into issues elsewhere, they're quick to apologize for their mistake and offer solutions, but not the person I spoke to about the matter today. Not even the smallest apology was offered. I'm furious and I'm sick of being treated like my business doesn't matter. So, as a result, will definitely be taking my business else where.
