I've been a Fit4Life client for over a year now requiring therapy to ease the back and neck pain that began in 2016 after a rear end collision. Prior to trying Fit4Life, I went to two other Physical Therapy Clinics that were recommended to me and I began a weekly routine of 2-3 appointments for some time at each clinic. I won't mention the names of these other clinics, but I will say that none can compare to the knowledgeable staff that treat me at Fit4Life. The owners of this family business, Travis and Fiona Monday are certified therapists and personal trainers that are usually there providing much needed services. Both always kept themselves fit which led to the eventual opening of a Fit4Life clinic in Wisconsin in 1996 that relocated to New Tampa in 2001. Thankfully! Staffing there includes an excellent team of Certified Therapists and Personal Trainers that are committed and all are really good at what they do, never tiring of working with me. None have the egos that I experienced at other clinics for a client like myself requiring long term therapy. You're welcome to continue visits at Fit4Life until you meet your goal. I felt I was in the right place at my very first appointment because of the knowledgeable, professional therapist that treated me. I found out soon after that they are all professionals. The staff also learns from each other and are all personable, never too proud to offer suggestions or ask questions of each other. I can work with different therapists and the switch is seamless as they are very organized and also offer the newest and best training and therapeutic equipment I've had the pleasure of using since each machine focuses on a particular body area. The therapists there know what kind of therapy each patient requires and what tools are most effective for treatment. I feel better after each visit as they follow a plan of therapy for me that allows me to feel looser, less pain and more mobile. I also enjoy conversing with the staff who all seem to enjoy their job as well as where they work. That's important to me and I wouldn't go any place else but Fit4Life. I had a complete knee replacement on Jan 19th 2017. I've been to many physical therapy sessions in my life, having led a very active sport lifestyle. Including 3 1/2 yrs of semi professional football and I still ride sport bikes on the track and dirt bikes regularly. Most of my therapies have been very good, some were just OK. Fit 4 Life's level of skill and care was so much better than any other I've participated in before. Nothing I've been to even compares to it, not even close! Under the Directorship of Dr Alyssa Hurless, they have taken physical medicine to a new level. After 3 weeks of home care/PT which was pretty ordinary... Fit $ Life has taken me to 128 degrees of knee bend/mobility. (My good knee is 132degrees) I did a 2 1/2 mile walk last week at a strong pace. At the very least, and it's no small thing, they delivered. Everything Dr Hurless promised in my pre op meeting was received and every expectation I had, was exceeded. On top of that, the quality of care was amazing and they made is fun, if that's possible. You go into a surgery apprehensive and intimidated by what your recovery will look like and how bad will it really be afterwards. Will I really regain more than I had before, without the pain? Fit 4 Life has been a fantastic and unforgettable walk back to normalcy and health. Everything I was hoping for in physical therapy and much more. I will be leaving with tools, work out routines, and most importantly, a great confidence that I will be riding my street and dirt bike again. (I am 67) I am so confident now, that I actually have a two day mountain dirt bike trip planned for June. I attend Fit 4 Life to do rehabilitation following bilateral knee surgery. Having two knees replaced was the best decision I could have made for my life. Another good decision was to choose Fit 4 Life for rehabilitation. Over the years I have experienced several places for physical therapy. Fit 4 Life offers a unique experience. With a balance of exercise including machines along with stretching, I have progressed quickly. I have to give a lot of credit to Alyssa, my Physical Therapist. She has been the driver in my rehabilitation. She truly cares about me and my progress. My goals are her goals. Fit for Life New Tampa is filled with caring and knowledgeable individuals. Three months of physical therapy broke the cycle of chronic pain and taught me the tools needed to maintain wellness. Every staff member gave me individualized, knowledgeable and kind assistance. They follow up by phone to check on your wellness after services have ended. My insurance did not consider fit4life an in network practitioner so I paid out-of-pocket for each session. This turned out to be the best decision I have made involving my health in a long time. I do bootcamp classes three times a week and I haven't booked a personal trainer session in more than a year. When I scheduled training with Adrian Smith at Fit4Life, I felt the difference. The timing on each machine were slow and I'm so used to bootcamp that I didn't realize I was going too fast. He explained to me the benefits of going 10 seconds each rep and redirected every time I was going to fast on my counts. The results were so worth it!
