I lost 25 pounds and could not move past it to lose more. I attended a nutrition lecture given by you and decided it was worth a shot to see if you could help me get passed my wall. It worked! After working with you, I discovered there is a lot more to weight loss then just putting food into my mouth. The biggest challenge I faced was understanding how emotions were preventing me from moving forward and how stress related issues were causing me to hold onto unwanted pounds. As far as exercise programs, I joined a gym for awhile which helped me to kick start my progress with fitness, but the trainer and gym were not meeting my needs after awhile. I started pilate's and I enjoyed the exercises and felt and saw results fast. The pilate's works for me too because you are always fully engaged with me and constantly noticing where my head is at and how to encourage me to get the right attitude in my head to have the results I want. I like the fact that you are always tuned into to my needs, energies and you use this talent of yours to find ways to encourage me to do better and to maintain a healthy attitude to succeed. I always leave pilate's in a better state of mind after spending an hour with you. Even if I came into the session in a good place, I leave with an improved attitude. Flexibility, energy and fitness are the 3 significant improvements. I am enjoying feeling agile, young(even though I am not old, but I felt old before starting pilate's), and energetic, and positive. MY love for myself has increased with every session of pilate's. I feel younger, more positive and I love myself more and deeper than I ever have before in my life. I actually like how I look, how I feel. I have increased confidence and energy for life. I am so grateful for your commitment and dedication to being a strong coach and support in my life. After a very stressful and emotional move back to the United States, it was no wonder that over the…read morecourse of a year I gained a significant amount of weight and, more importantly, my blood pressure was higher than was healthy. At this point, my doctor put me on blood pressure medication. Instead of looking at the causes of why my numbers were high, the answer in the medical community is to prescribe drugs. At this point, intellectually I knew I had to lose weight, exercise smarter and, more importantly, eat better. I met Lorna at a women's health group that I hosted at my home and more recently when she was substituting at my Pilates class. I sincerely feel that I was meant to meet up with her again - the stars were aligned! We discussed my concerns, fears, hopes and commitment level and in only six weeks I had lost weight, but more importantly, I decreased my blood pressure so that I could eventually be taken off medication. I have never been so thrilled. I feel radically better in my health and well-being. Coupled with taking one-on-one Pilates instruction with Lorna and following her nutrition plan, I have changed the course of what could have been a disastrous road. This is not a miracle (well, it is kind of), but more of a "no brainer diet". This is life changing. If you open your heart and mind to eating right and really understanding the way your body either rejects or accepts food, it will liberate you. Do you really think opening up a bag of pretzels is better for you than eating celery or an apple? We all know the answer, but if you're not getting the proper nutrients from your food, you will never feel satisfied and that is why we overeat. The one thing that I am so grateful for is my overall well-being. I am not exaggerating the fact that four months ago I could barely walk upon waking. Getting out of bed and placing my feet down on the floor - the pain was at times unbearable. Since combining the Pilates, which is better than any strength-training class I have ever taken and bringing natural, organic anti-inflammatory foods and spices into my daily diet, I no longer suffer from the intense pain from heel spurs and shoulder pains. I whole-heartedly believe that I could not have accomplished this pain-free life without Lorna's help. Is this easy? No. But it works. I look younger. I feel younger. My skin glows. My blood pressure is down. More importantly - the aches and pains - what we now know and is rampant throughout our population as inflammation - is gone!!!! What could be better than that? Loucas, the owner of the Core Fitness Studios, has been very beneficial to my fitness routine and to my life in general, and he is very good at what he does. Thanks to his well curated workouts, I have kept of twenty pounds since 2009 and am a pull up master! This place is not your typical gym where you can just hop on a treadmill or use machines. It is more of a personal training studio where you make appointments to have sessions with personal trainers. You can also sign up for fitness classes that take place downstairs in the basement area; there are Spin, Zumba, and TRX Suspension Training classes. I haven't experienced any of these classes but have heard nothing but positive feedback. I highly recommend Core Fitness Studios to anyone who is looking for workouts with personal attention and with a good trainer-client relationship. I am very glad to have known Loucas for quite some time and I hope this gym continues to thrive. Worth every penny!

Audra was at the front desk and provided me with the paperwork that I needed. After, she told me where to go for my TRX workout and the place was already prepared with the bands (of course) and a mat. The area was a little small, enough to fit about eight people for the class. There were towels provided as well which was pretty awesome since I didn't have to bring my own. Before the class was about to start, I was met by Brian the instructor and he was absolutely great. He knew there were a few people that were new to TRX (including myself) so he was telling us how to shorten the bands to lengthen the bands. He very knowledgable and was always walking around to make sure we were actually doing the position correctly. Definitely come here for TRX. You will not regret it!
