There's peaceful spa music playing throughout the spa and I was quickly assisted by the front desk attendant to check in and get settled in for my appointment. I was easily able to book via phone. What I really appreciated was that during the virtual checkin, there's a section that asks you for which focus areas you'd like the masseuse to focus on during your service. You can then circle different parts of the body (this is shown from different angles as well) to specify where you'd like your masseuse to specifically target. This personalization was very evident during my actual massage and again, I was impressed by how everything was very clean/spotless there. The masseuse politely asked/checked in throughout my massage if I was comfortable and if she was using the right amount of pressure. I was surprised that the oil was slightly heated/warm, but really enjoyed how soothing it was. I left my massage feeling very refreshed and relaxed. Overall, it was one of the best massages I've had and the service was great. I'll definitely be back!

The massage wasn't very good and she kept saying she was tired. At the end, I gave a $5 tip because it honestly wasn't a good massage at all, but I wanted to give some kind of tip anyways. Lily then gave me a disgusted face and I asked if that was all I was going to tip her. It was really awkward. They proceeded to look at the receipt and the tip confused and glare back at me. Way to go because now they lost a customer. BTW I tipped the girl $20 last time because she was incredible.

I can't speak to their experiences so I will only speak/type of mine. I made the appts on the Fresha app, which is great because I use that for other salons and spas as well. So easy. When we walked in, the very first thing I noticed was that there was no wall or anything separating the massage areas from the reception/waiting area. Thought it was a bit odd but OK. So they bring me back to one of the chairs along the wall and I sat down. They have a whole bunch of chairs for reflexology across from the private massage rooms, which is pretty typical. My first issue was that there was no privacy. Where I usually go, the chairs are separated by walls almost like work cubicles and they can adjust them if you are with friends or whatever. I was the only one there at the time so I thought "OK no big deal." So my therapist (male - Idk his name - sorry) starts with the usual back and shoulder massage before I get settled into the chair for the feet. I'm starting to relax and suddenly a woman with a party of 4 comes in and loudly announces she is there for her appt. I guess they overbooked and asked her to come back later. I should not have heard any of that! The receptionist starts having a conversation with my guy from like 20 feet away and I'm thinking that there is no way I am going to be able to relax which is the entire point of this! This kept happening periodically so I tried to just focus on my breathing. My next issue was that, because there was nothing separating the reception area from the massage areas, the sun was coming through the entire place. It was like an eclipse! The music was lovely but way too low especially with all the chatter going on. There was some waterfall type of thing that was somewhat soothing but eh. I'd rather just hear the music, which I didn't. Next thing I know one of the employees walks back to some sort of break room or something and it sounded like she was washing dishes! The worst part was towards the end when this loud mouth with a strong NY accent (not that there's anything wrong with that - when it's quiet) walks in and loudly asks if he can get a massage. After a few mins they escorted him to the private room directly across from me. Great. My session ended about 10 mins later and I was very tempted to stand outside his room and yell "HOW'S THAT MASSAGE???!!!" but I didn't. So my DIL and her mom finished about the same time and we went up pay. I guess my DIL forgot to tip her therapist and she came right up to her, looking very mad, and said very loudly "NO TIP? NO TIP??" Very rude and unprofessional. It could've been handled in a more discrete way. She forgot - she wasn't trying to NOT tip her. My usual place is very quiet, plays beautiful relaxing music that you can hear, burns some sort of incense or something, is very dark and the therapists actually whisper chants while massaging you. Before you think "so just go there, jerk" this was a special occasion and we were meeting halfway and they had good reviews. Now I know the difference between a decent spa and a really good one. (It's on Rt 37 in Toms River btw). All this being said, I will say that my guy did a GREAT job on my back, shoulders and feet, using hot stones towards the end. He was very good and very nice. It was just the ambiance that didn't work for me. Sorry this is so long but I wanted to explain, in detail, why I was dinging them 2 stars. I will not go back. Its too far, too noisy and too bright. Not a relaxing space. If this is the only place you've ever been to, try some others. You will be pleasantly surprised. Thanks for reading!

I had no use of my left arm stemming from my shoulder and extremely painful being unable to lift it…read moreetc. I an extremely active & fit. I had Frozen Shoulder of my right arm 8 years ago and it took at least 8 weeks of physical therapy and manipulation techniques to get better. Fearing I had Frozen Shoulder again I went to my Orthopedist who confirmed this and gave me 2 shots of cortisone which relieved some of my pain for about 6 hrs and said I had to start physical therapy for it etc. My boyfriend who has been going to Liping on and off for over a decade (gets injuries from his line of work) went on and on how I should see her and try acupuncture because she has done amazing things for him and others and told me all kinds of stories. (He had been to other acupuncturists through the years but said Liping by far was the best. I figured I had nothing to lose and due to a cancellation was seen the next day. Liping said I didn't need cortisone shots and physical therapy. She herself had frozen shoulder she said before and could easily fix my shoulder. As a sceptic I had a we will see attitude but had my session with electro acupuncture and regular acupuncture. I did feel better when I left and kept feeling better throughout the day. The very next day I woke up with no pain and could actually move my arm like almost nothing ever happened! This was truly a miracle to me! I actually decided to go to my gym that morning and take my classes which include weight training, yoga etc! Although I did take it easy that first day I didn't want to jinx or hurt anything. But literally I was good as new...pain free and continuing taking my classes and working out by the second day as normal! Never went back to the orthopedist or physical therapy but did continue with Liping and have never been happier.

You enter into a waiting room area with a small seating area and reception desk. Enter the door to the fairly large open spa. There are several chairs to the right for chair massages, plenty of setups for reflexology and a room in the back for massages. The reflexology area has roll-up shades for dividers. No appointment is needed here which is very convenient. The space is clean, quiet and relaxing. They have excellent prices. Chair massages are $1 per minute. One hour reflexology is $35 or $28 if you prepay for three total sessions. One hour massages are $38. For reflexology many will not like their setup here. There is another popular reflexology place further down Route 9 that uses reclining chairs. Here you lay flat on a bed with a pillow. Overall, for the price and convenience this is a great place to unwind.
