I brought in my daughter's wedding dress that needed some minor alterations. I described what I needed done. Although she said she understood, I wasn't comfortable that she did but figured the reviews were good except for a few negative ones. We needed it back in a week which was a bit of a rush, I understand, but she didn't complain about that. It needed a button for a bustle. I told her it had to be the same color as the buttons I brought. She insisted the ones she had were the same color. I tried to explain what we needed done for the train not to hit the floor once raised. Since she said she had done wedding dresses before I thought she understood. She also needed to take in the sides a little but only from under the arm to the waist. I was fine with the price if it had been done properly. It wasn't. When I picked it up and realized the bustle wasn't right she said it wasn't possible to do it the way I wanted. I was in a panic and took it back to the wonderful bridal store where we purchased it, Tulip Bridal in Issaquah. The owner, Sofie, almost cried when she saw how she had butchered it. She changed the button for me herself because it was the wrong color. She took me outside to show me how the one that was used looked purple in the sunlight(it was for an outside wedding) and really stood out. The underarm seams weren't correct but good enough. It was the main bustle that was awful. The lady had grabbed fabric and sewed them together. The dress and underslips weren't even the same length. It was a mess but nothing others could really tell. However, the bottom of the dress was filthy after the wedding because she didn't do it correctly. Obviously she CAN do good work based on the reviews I saw here but maybe nothing like a wedding dress. The owner of the dress shop said it was a simple alteration for someone who knew what they were doing. Obviously this lady did not. read more

I took in 2 pairs of overalls to have the strap hooks replaced (which i brought in replacement). I was quoted $13, I was surprised so i asked is that for one pair? She stated twice no for both pair. I further said wow great price thank you. Picked up my overalls on Sat. 8/15 and someone else was working but on the slip the owner changed the price to $15.00 per item. I was over charged $17.00. The lady argued with me and said she'd have the owner call me. Well it's now Tuesday and no answer. No credit to my debit card, I will not be taking anything else to this business and want to warn customers in the future to be aware of what's quoted and what you end up paying. Bad Business practice... I finally called and spoke with lady who quoted me price of $13.00 for both pair this morning... of course she stated that I didn't understand her. Fit-Rite is amazing. I'm about 5'8 130 lbs and a big sports fan. However, jerseys never seem to fit me right. I started by taking in shirt's before I had them alter a seahawks jersey (shortening, taking it in, and cuffing the sleeves). Everything I have brought in has turned out amazing. For guy's that need alterations for your shirts this is the place!!! I have a hard time finding dress shirts that fit me due to my build but this place solves this. Typically, my shirt issue is the top buttons are stretched so tight that breathing makes it look like the top few buttons are going to launch into orbit while I have to tuck in a parachute worth of material into my pants, which is just not a very clean look. Since coming here all my shirts fit me perfectly at a great price and service. The ladies are very nice and welcoming, while the service is great, done in a timely fashion with very reasonable prices. I highly recommend them and will continue to use there service. read more

Prices are unreasonably high. The seamstress charged me 75% of what I paid for my new pants, and unfortunately I did not have the time to shop around. I support local businesses, but this felt like highway robbery. Will not be coming back. read more

Do not bring your knit garments here. While they did an adequate job of shortening a zipper in a handknit garmet,they hung the sweater on a hanger to await my pick-up. I was close to tears when I saw the size of the neck opening they had created by letting the weight of the sweater pull on the neck opening. I expect that a professional in the garment business would know that handknits should be folded not hung. read more

My daughter brought in her prom dress on a Friday, just a week before prom. The place she originally purchased her dress from altered the straps of the dress for free, but told her that it would be about $80+ tax to get it hemmed, so I told her to take it somewhere else. She tried it on when she got to Fit-Rite only to realize that the original dress shop had tightened the straps too much. It lifted the entire dress up so much that the zipper couldn't zip past her ribs. Not only did the owner hem my daughter's dress perfectly, she also somehow magically loosened the waist of the dress where the zipper was so that it would zip up all the way now. I couldn't even tell that the dress had been altered, it was even more beautiful than before and she only charged $50 for the hem and the zipper too. Way cheaper, faster, and better than the other place could have done it. If you need to get anything altered, take it here! The owner is such a hard worker with gorgeous results. read more

Left a pant and a jacket there to change the zippers. Was asked to come back in 2 weeks. 3 weeks later come back to pick up clothes and none of them was done. Dont waste time and money here read more

The nice lady here fixed my motorcycle jacket. One of the snaps fell off. It was quick and easy. I would recommend.

I had my prom dress hemmed at the bottom-50 bucks and had beaded straps adjusted-25 bucks. The cost was 75 for both which was pricey but a bit cheaper then othe places, I appreciated the fact that she was able to get the job done fast. The older lady did a great job hemming my dress and I recommend this place but the pricing is a bit much read more
