The people running the gym claim to sterilize the mats once a day at least, but I have never seen it happen. Will you learn martial arts by attending the classes? Yes, definitely- but only on the days that they decide are good days to run the classes. That's right! You pay, often what can be top dollar, for minimal amounts of classes- AND even THEN do they take away classes regularly from the schedule. Classes were canceled MULTIPLE times alone this past week- including tonight's boxing. There is another catch! Often the classes are too large for any sort of individualized attention. If you join this gym, you might find yourself struggling to grow for that reason alone. They try to price discriminate between customers. If you pay by card, make sure the gym isn't charging you fees you should not be paying at that you are paying your monthly membership only as your contract says you should be. You cannot expect them to resolve this over the phone. You will need to go into the office to resolve such a matter. When you are waiting for a fee they unrightully charged you to be reversed, have your card company block any more charges by Alpha Omega so that they don't charge you again- WHILE PROMISING TO FIX IT- as they have done with others. Now that you have read this review, ask yourself: "Is it worth it to possibly learn a little martial arts over the course of a long time, while not only paying a lot of money for classes that are frequently being canceled or because the service being provided simply being poor service, but also while having to regularly review your bank statements in order to make sure they aren't stealing money from you like they do with everyone else?"

Read the contract! Business owners cannot pay the rent with hugs & story telling. Yes!! businesses are exactly that! A business! I run a business as well. Not a charity. Though we do give back to the community in many forms. A few years back, I signed up my two children for Tiger Shulman, the contract was for a year and the total was almost $6000.00. And though the Sensei was nice & cool with us, he was still running a business and rightfully expected payment. If one of my clients said one thing, and did another and gave me the runaround, - and not paid their monthly invoice, Id have "NO BUSINESS" and livelihood. Get a grip. Read your contract. Do your homework before wasting everyone's valuable time and efforts.

I started to have horrible eating habits. A complaining spirit. And a sedentary lifestyle. When I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs I knew I needed change. I went to a trial class in my sweats not knowing what to expect. I got the greatest workout I've had in a long time. Hands down beats the gym. You're paired with a partner and you're accountable for each other during class. Kickboxing techniques are taught (MMA is also provided). Then once that's over, strength routines are given out. We close the end of class with stretch routines. I can mentally and physically see a difference after just 2 weeks of class. The price for classes is higher than any of the other local competing karate studios in addition to the price for gear and other necessary equipment for training I needed to consider the cost and speak to my husband before spending a certain amount of money that literally equals a car payment each month and felt it was something we had to discuss however we were going to do it then they just kept texting and calling which made me really uncomfortable because I felt like I once again was dealing with the used car place parking And this area of Rockville center is extremely tricky but I do believe they have a solid program I just don't feel comfortable spending that kind of money every month

Then in the beginning of February I get a call from a Detective with the Nassau County Police. He asked me to check my statements and that my card may have been used fraudulently. As I was on the phone with him I did check my bank statements and I was charged from KOXO KICKBOXING OCEANSIDE 59 dollars 24 times!! Apparently this happened to a bunch of other people.
