I've been a member of this gym for 3 years. The first year month to month. I was so impressed I became a life member. 1. The gym is clean, they have attendants wiping down the machines and service them regularly. 2. Excellent personal trainers. I bought a 12 session package. Ian Ramierez is excellent. He has an Undergrad degree in training kinetics from SBSU and is very knowledgeable about techniques and fitness regimes. I highly recommend. 3. Went to join today as a member. I walked in a no one was at the counter. I noticed someone in the distance sitting further back talking on the phone on a personal call, so I didn't think he worked there. He saw me staying there for a while. I called the main number and asked if anyone worked there. He then got off his personal call. He had problems signing me up. I asked him was he on a personal call. He said yes. Which was crazy to me. I also asked him what a certain class was that was advertised on the desk. He told me he didn't know. WOW!!! Not sure if I'm staying there. Very unprofessional. This place sucks. It's basically a daycare for the elderly. The workers and trainers don't correct people when they're using machines incorrectly. I've been coming here for about 5yrs off and on and when I first sign up it was great. I was excited for the Zumba classes. Yesterday I took Holly class and I have to say I felt like I was taking a ballet class. She is more focus on herself looking a the mirror the whole time the class is so boring. I have also taken Cheryl class she is a great person but she needs to change the music and steps. They have been the same for the past 5yrs. I don't feel challenged anymore. Small gym. Very good parking Decently priced if you wait for a sale. Upgraded my membership with Theo to a great deal on a lifetime membership. No shower, no frills; though this location has 2 hydro message tables. If you're local and don't want to travel to an LA Fitness or 24-hour fitness, this is a good alternative. read more

Love the kids club! Other that that staff is pretty rude. New manager Presley is nice and seems to really care is constantly trying to train new staff and keep up but the staff are absolutely so lazy! Had multiple people there this morning, restroom had no toilet paper, they are the huge rolls floor was filthy and half of wipes were empty. No one puts back equipment so it's very messy around machines. Used wipes and dust and hair build up on the bottom of machines. Haven't seen anyone vacuuming the floors or doing any cleaning for a few weeks now. Front door is dirty and outside trash cans are always over flowing and filthy. This area and workers used to be very nice but now everyone is just on their phones constantly. No one is ever up front on Saturdays the phone was ringing off the hook. Kyle is the best. I have worked with several trainers over the years, but none of them have even come close to Kyle. He not only knows how the machines work (anyone can do that) but Kyle knows physical therapy. Not very many trainers have that level of knowledge and expertise. Kyle has taken me through physical fitness, body building to rehabilitation after total shoulder replacement and total hip replacement. I am currently rehabilitating and Kyle is absolutely amazing in his understanding of what I need for complete recovery. As I said, Kyle is the best! read more

Fitness 19 is dirty, the staff is rude and has old equipment. It was crowded and sweat on the equipment I was so grossed out. I went once and that was enough so I wouldn't catch anything. The restroom was filthy and I can't believe that they can stay in business like this. There are other gyms in Yucaipa that are clean and have knowledgeable staff and clean facilities. read more

I don't feel comfortable working out at the Yucaipa location. Unfortunately I have experienced some terrible treatment at this facility. I had previously really enjoyed frequenting this gym but I recently was cussed at by a man in the gym for using a machine that he wanted to use. I told the staff but they did not step in on my behalf. I even emailed the district supervisor but this disrespectful man kept showing up with no recourse. his presence made me feel unsafe and hyper defensive. I really hate that I have to find a new gym due to the fact that fitness 19 did not make me feel safe. I would NOT recommend this location for any female that I know. I felt disrespected and unsupported and I don't want any other woman to be treated like that. I would look for a different gym. I'm gonna try Revolution fitness. I suggest you should too. read more

I signed up right before the pandemic started, its been closed since, wait, It opened for 3 weeks, then closed again. I was charged twice, the $49, now $7.99. Quite expensive for the few visits I was able to use the facility. I have not stepped foot in the facility due to the pandemic. However, they make sure they get their money. ABC Financial are crooks, thereto, Fitness19 is as well. It has taken me 2 weeks to solicit a cancellation, they have ignored my emails and if you call the local facility, they pretty much say they can't do a thing [per conversation 07/17/2020]. Do not sign up if they are using ABC Financial. The gym is fine its the operation of it and how they control their finances. They will not close my account unless I pay $7.99 for the use of a closed facility. I'm being bullied to support a closed business. Not right and downright unethical. Note: I will NEVER and this is a firm no sign up with Fitness19 again. You can't play with my hard earned money and not have me retaliate. Word of mouth will spread on your practices. Updated review Since being under new management this place has improved soooo much. They really started listening to the members. Started replacing broken equipment and definitely keep the place cleaner. I heard about a member causing issues and the new manger addressed it immediately. The Gym is way overcrowded. I hope one day soon the gym is expanded to meet the demands of all the new members. The Redlands fitness 19 is way bigger and has room for people to do walking lunges. Going to start going to the Redlands location or maybe look into a new gym. read more

The good: The staff is great, super friendly, and always helpful. The gym equipment selection is good, and the place is kept clean (dirt-wise). The bad: Shitty, lazy, rude clients who leave their trash, empty bottles, and weights all over the place. Yep, they have enough energy to come to the gym and make a mess, but are trashy when it comes to being mature, conscientious adults. And sorry, no staff can keep up with such lazy people. Suggestion: One of the most popular gyms I've ever known had an ironclad rule: Any clients caught leaving weights out leaving their empty bottles/trash around were asked to leave the gym immediately. They could not return until the next gym day. Result? People didn't have to be kicked out more than once. The gym was super popular, and people picked up after themselves. I hope Fitness 19 takes this idea, implements it, and sets a new regional standard instead of being afraid of the lame, rude clients who continue to make the gym less friendly to others because, No, the customer is often wrong and, for the sake of everyone, should be held accountable. read more

I have been coming here for a few months now and think that it's about time that I file an honest review! The area is clean and not overly crowded like other popular gyms. The hours are great (for me) and the staff is phenomenal! I'd like to shout out one of the guys here, I believe his name tag reads Dean? SO SORRY if I am wrong! He's that one quiet guy that is always helping! I've had limited interactions with him myself and the ones that I have had, have all been pleasant. I like to "people watch" and pay attention to my environment and noticed that he is always going out of his way to help whomever needs help and also seems to be quiet knowledgeable in what he's doing! Found this gym after having a horrible experience with crunch fitness. I just signed up a couple months ago and this MASSIVE bearded warrior was super cool and helpful during my sign up process. He was really sweet and was totally compassionate. Being a big girl, it's intimidating going to a gym but this guy was awesome! Very small gym, crowded most of the time. This gym is 1 step above going to Rec Center or YMCA, if Yucaipa had one. They should change the name to Yucaipa HS PE because large amount of high school students go to gym, stand around and talk while taking up the machines, playing around , etc. Place is messy as weights and equipment are left all over the place, sign says "No chalk " but not enforced as weights are often full of chalk. If money is an issue , then might be your place . If it's not go elsewhere , even Fitness 19 in Mentone. Picture / videos in advertisements are not this gym. It smells so bad. I've come in on a couple Different days and times and when I tell the workers there's a foul smell and to open up the doors they insist on keeping them closed for air conditioning. Please at least buy some air freshener if you insist on keeping the doors closed. It's a gym of course there will be smell but I've seen so many other establishments with better cleanliness. This is a small hole in the wall fitness 19, but newly renovated. No paper towels in the bathrooms, no hand sanitizers around the gym, no paper towel racks around the gym to wipe down equipment. Multiple members slamming down stationary equipment which can eventually break due to used incorrectly. Older cardio equipment due to no fans located on each individual treadmill, etc. this gym can use a little extra clean love. Not everyone Carries a towel or hand sanitizer. read more

DO NOT GO AT NIGHT!! I go in the morning every morning and here's why... I'm not typically a morning person but the two girls that run the front desk are the sweetest girls that have ever worked there. They make me feel comfortable and welcomed always greet with a smile and always have an amazing farewell when I leave. The last week I've been running behind so I had to go at night and boy did I regret it! The staff is lazy nobody cleans, the front desk girl just sits and stares off into space and the boys don't really do much of a job either!! I have needed some assistance with equipment and he has always been happy to help me out NEVER making me feel dumb for not figuring something out. Tyler: my man squeeze trainer! CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE IS HORRENDOUS!! My friend Rob and I had decided to start a fitness routine, so he and I woke up early and headed to Fitness 19. My friend was already a long time member with this establishment, so he told me I could come workout with him as a one time courtesy. When we got to the front desk we were rudely greeted by Percilla aka "PRESLEY" one of the early morning shift "head trainers " at the gym. Presley didn't even give my friend a chance to check in at the kiosk; he barked, "Do y'all have membership's?" We tried to explain to him that Rob has a valid Contract, and that I was his guest as a courtesy to his membership. My friend couldn't even finish his sentence; Presley curtly cut him off and asked, "Has she ever been here to workout before?" I began to tell him that I had visited an EXTREMELY long time ago. It had been years; It was way before I heard that Fitness 19 updated their equipment. Not to mention, I was the courtesy guest of a different member at the time. Presley would hear nothing of the sort! He said that if I had ever stepped foot in that building before I could not workout without signing up for a membership. I tried to explain that I didn't have time that day, but that I would come back and sign up through a Fitness 19 promotion from my job. Presley refused us service, despite Rob's current contractual, valid membership. A Fitness 19 member was denied the pleasure of utilizing his membership for a minor oversight. Not to mention, a few of my neighbors in the community were discussing Fitness 19. A Trainer opened a new membership for a friend with Autism, and he was financially abused. There was all kinds of hidden fees and sign up charges for "training sessions " that came out to an insane amount of money for any Health Club! Predatory business practices are never ok; Especially if the member is mentally disabled! I will probably go back to this establishment, but only because it geographically convenient. read more
