Good atmosphere, friendly staff, nice gym culture. There's new management and i believe he has ordered some new machine because there are a few that don't work, for instant only 1 of their 3 Stairmasters work. The dumbbells are in good shape my only complaint would be the women's workout space is small and loaded with like 10 or 12 machines-it would be nice if they removed one or two so there is more room to do dumbbell exercises to the side or a place to stretch thats not in the middle of the floor. But so far i like it and haven't received any additional charges. I got the basic membership that is $10 biweekly and an annual maintenance fee of $44 every year, pretty good deal in my opinion read more

Yeah I'm pretty sure the people at the front desk are racist. I cancelled my membership to my old gym & gold's gym is the next closest gym to my house so i hopped online and signed up for a 7 day pass because i was reluctant to sign a contract to a gym sight unseen. So when i get to the front desk i tell the two African-American employees that i signed up for a 7 day pass and go to show them on my phone the guy says "oh it has to be printed out" then the female following his lead says the same. Why does it have to be printed out if the 7-Day pass has the date on it ? I really was just looking for a new gym home and felt like i was discriminated against because of appearance by people that are of the same race that i am. It's sad that in 2016 this is where we are. There is truly no hope for the future... SN: I stayed in my car for a while after leaving out just to post this Yelp review and I saw why they try to keep the black people out because their clientele is mostly Hispanic and white. these people do scam so run away if you think it's easy to end your membership. when they are signing you up they will show it's easy to cancel your membership if you are moving away also they don't tell you about yearly membership too. they tell you they will charge you biweekly but actually they will charge you three times in some months but if are not watching your bank/ credit card. my all friends stopped me to getting membership here but i didn't listen to them now i regret. we join gym for workout and mental peace not that we have to worry about scamming. if you are late than they will charge you arm & leg and they will keep charging you higher monthly fee including late fee. i never had such a bad experience like here before. if you try to talk to them they will tell you to call abc fitness where some rude person will talk to you and deny to cooperate with your issues and tell you to talk to your location fitness project. you will feel like a bouncing ball. very unprofessional attitude. all they care about is just to sign you in.******* go and find a better place!!!!!******* read more

Personally I like it Antione has a lot of fun and beneficial facts when it comes to fitness. I personally enjoy my workouts here. The gym is clean, the music is motivational, the environment is nice. This Gold's gym is amazing , the staff is very helpful and will do more than they are suppose to , to help you out with whatever you need. Late nights and early morning I always see someone racking up weights and putting them away so the gym looks nice. Something was wrong with my account and GM Joseph helped me with no problems and was very helpful . I plan to stay at this gym and make it my 2nd home . Update: I originally posted a review on 6/3/2015 and nothing has been corrected. As of 8/25/2015 the leg extension machine I mentioned IS STILL BROKEN. Are you kidding me!??!?!?!? that's over two months. Have some pride in your product. The manager actually posted something about doing something different for the customer experience. How about this ...just fix the stuff and stop trying to reply to every bad review. And while you're at it, go ahead AND FIX THE 2 BROKEN STAIRMASTERS ALSO, THERES ONLY 4 IN THE GYM YOU KNOW. Original Post from June 3 This gym is convenient for me because I live in Fall Creek and I live literally 1 minute away and go to the gym every morning before work, otherwise I would pay the extra money to go to Lifetime on W Lake Houston or 24hr fitness on 1960. The amount and the quality of the equipment is very poor. A cable pulley has been broken literally since February. One of only two leg extension machines in the gym is currently broken (been that way for about a week and half), the fly machine has been broken for about a week and a half, a preacher curl machine has been broken for about 2 months as well. There is only 1 row cardio machine in the entire gym. There are only 4 Stairmasters in the gym and 1 is always broken. And chances are when you get on a treadmill its probably broken as well. The gym has only 1 Leg Press machine also.This is the worse gym I have ever been a member of, my middle school and high school gym were better (Cunningham middle school and North Shore High School). I will be honest and say the people who work there are nice and seem professional, but something needs to be done about the equipment. But its like the old saying "you get what you pay for". I'm not paying as much as I would at Lifetime so I guess its ok for the equipment to stay broken? Hopefully a LA Fitness will be built on the beltway with all the new stuff so all the people who live in Fall Creek, Park Lakes, and other neighborhoods will have more choices. I asked a front desk worker about the cable pulley machine being broke and was told it would be fixed next week, well next week was last week and again its been broken since February (not an exaggeration). I called the corporate office and they said it was a franchise location so that might have something to do with the speed of repairs and maintenance (or lack thereof). read more

Gold's Gym is building a new location at Beltway and Wilson (NE corner). They have a sales office and small facility set up nearby until main gym is open; which they say will be 3-5 months. We currently work out at 24 Hour Fitness at 1960 & Atascocita Rd. Frankly, it's not that nice of gym and they are constantly having AC problems. We require a gym that offers group workout classes, so this gym has been the closest location to Fall Creek. Our membership at 24 Hour up in a few weeks, so I went by Gold's gym to check on pricing. Like most gyms, finding out pricing involves a sales pitch like you are trying to buy a used car. So, I thought I would post the scoop here for all. They have several plans that vary with upfront costs vs monthly fees. I only look at the total cost over 2 years, which is their min. contract length. Best deal is upfront cost at $199 (pre opening sale reduce from $299) then $10/month for life. In addition there is one time $49 "processing fee" and a $25/year fee for "facilities". So 2 year cost is $515 and 3 year cost $685, each additional year is $145. For comparison, 2 years for 24 Hour Fitness is $350 (through Costco). Gold's has 5 locations in Houston and you can work out at any of these with membership. Nearest location is Kingwood off Northpark. I drove up there last night to see facility and see how long commute would be. Needed to know because we would be working out there until this location is opened. I left at 5.45pm to see what traffic would be like to get to a 6.30pm class. It took exactly 20 minutes, which is the same time or less it takes to get to the 24 Hour fitness now. The gym looked nice. FYI - the Kingwood location had same exact sales pitch, but did offer no monthly dues in 2012, which would $70 off. read more

Wack. Was told I couldn't use "guest pass" since I didn't have a Texas ID/Drivers License. Manager would not accept my out of state valid driver license or my Federal ID either. I bet they wouldn't have any issues with my out of state identification if I wanted to pay and join this facility without trying it out first. I stopped going to this gym because I moved really close to the galleria, but it was a very sad day when I cancelled my membership. I absolutely love this gym!!! Amazing staff, classes, equipment, and overall great gym vibe. I did have a personal trainer which made coming to the gym a joy. I was able to lose over 35 lbs with his help! Reviews I've read on here are not fair, or these people are expecting WAY TOO MUCH. it's a gym people. Is there enough equipment? Yes. Is there a wide variety of equipment? Yes. Do they offer a variety of classes? Yes. Is the facility clean? Definitely! Well, what more can you ask for?? No need to nitpick over everything. This is a super clean facility (Only 1 year old) with a plethora of machines, elipticals, treadmills, free weights, stationaries, pulleys, etc to go around. it's never too packed. Positives: it's new, clean, close to work and open 24 hours. It gets the job done. Negatives: Women's area: It does not have a door and there are some creepy dudes that just watch the ladies. What's the point of a women's area to work out in if there is no door??The women's area does not have free weights, no spin bike, 2 ellipticals and 2 treadmills, and very few lifting machines. The biggest annoyance is that male trainers bring their clients into an already very small women's only area. The cardio equipment us new, but no TV's on any of the machines. There are flat screens that you have to strain to see and hope you don't fall off the treadmill. Plus you have no control on what to watch. In addition, if you wanted to bring an iPad to watch tv or movie, the cardio equipment does not have a place for it. There are no spin bikes on the floor. No variety in ellipticals. -1 star: Unprofessional staff(on phones and talking to each other over managing the gym) -1 star: Unsanitary Equipment (bodily fluids left on equipment 90% of the time) -1 star: Weights left out (on the floor, on unused equipment, leaning on equipment) -1 star: Over Crowded (small number of weight equipment and crammed) -1 star: Unnecessarily inconvenient (don't leave your only pass at home by accident) So, I joined some time back, and they are very prepared to sell you all kinds of packages from the moment you walk in. They set you up with a personal trainer and showcase all their classes. The session with the personal trainer consists of him trying to convince you that you need him so you can spend more money. Also, there are a few hidden fees that they will bring to your attention right before you join. So I did what most did and said oh well. The first thing I noticed was how SMALL the gym was. The staff member told me it gets busy a few times a week. You will wait to use the weights. Again, this is not much of a surprise to me because most major gyms have this issue so I over looked it. My big issue that I don't see in other gyms is people not wiping sweat off equipment, people not putting weights back, and people leaving weights all over the equipment and floor. I do see this happen from time to time in other gyms but I see it every time I walk into this gym. The staff sees it and nothing is done about it. If you just want to use the cardio equipment, then its not that bad nor is it all that crowded. I never see anyone clean up after themselves but then again I do my run then leave. As others have pointed out, the staff are really only at the front or around their desk talking to one another or on their phones. Don't forget your gym membership pass because if you do they will turn you away. You can't have them look you up by name or phone number. They only give you one key chain pass. Hey, don't worry you can use your phone to get into the gym. Wait. No, you can't, because if you haven't already entered your pass bar code into your phone it's useless. If nothing I talked about bothers you, then this is the gym for you, but I recommend finding another one and I know that there are a few options in that area. If I find another gym that fixes anything I talked about I would switch even if it cost a lot more. read more

Needs upgrades, machines are frequently broken and go days and weeks without being fixed, there are ripped lounge chairs in the locker room, no paper towels in the locker room, there's always an excuse about not having someone there to do the 3D body scans, I called to find out when my membership "expired" in November of 2022 and was told a date but then I Still was getting charged and when I went to find out why the manager said they didn't use the term expire and that the plan switched to month to month instead which WAS NOT explained to me when I signed up or when I called and a 30 day notice has to be signed to actually end membership. And they don't give a call 30 days before your year ends to even make sure members know this. I feel that that is neglectful, non transparent, and a rip off. Even the app I was told to download when I signed up wasn't explained and turned out to be the wrong app. They are getting over on people everyday. I highly do not recommend. Please find a different gym with upgrades, working machines, communication skills, and honest policies and informants. read more

This gym is by the biggest but super conveniently located to Fall Creek. I've attended the zumba classes, cycling, body pump, body flow, step, and a few more. They have all been great! The instructors are helpful and enthusiastic. The treadmills and other machines have never been filled up. You do however have to have a radio (who has one these days) to tune in to hear the TVs and not just read subtitles. The monthly rate is very low!! read more

I really wanted to join a gym that had hot yoga but the only one near here is still a good 15+ minute drive and there aren't any stand alone Bikram studios- so really I went for convenience. This place is really close to my house and the childcare is free- two huge pluses. I've only been a member for a week now hit so far so good. The kids area can get pretty busy at times which does make me a wee bit nervous for my six month old so for that reason I haven't even tried going in the evenings because I hear the kids place can get super packed. All in all, so far so good. Would be awesome if they could add a Bikram style yoga class and/or a pure barre class. read more

Update: So after my 7 day pass nightmare, I can say the reviews are true. Much of the equipment does not work. I get on a treadmill it doesn't turn on, I jump on another treadmill, nothing. The third one functions but the fan is out on that one. They force you to talk to a personal trainer to even obtain your key pass to get in. The trainer makes you fill out a questionnaire that feels like doctor's paperwork and has you do a few exercises and makes recommendations taking up about 30 minutes of your time unnecessarily. The ellipticals (the ones that work) do not calculate calories correctly. I have attached a photo of their equipment saying I burned the same amount of calories on the elliptical as on the treadmill in half the time on the treadmill which is quite backwards. I am very familiar with both machines and have used many in several different gyms. I also attached a photo from another gym on what the calories should look like. You can see a huge difference. Gold's Elliptical 75 calories 30 minutes. Other gym's Elliptical 210 calories 20 mins. Both same RPM and same level 1. Gold's treadmill 75 calories 16 mins. How is that even possible? I definitely do not think this is the gym for me. Not a good start. Came here to start a 7 day pass I set up online and start before work today. I now write this as I sit here waiting for a "Fitness Consultant" to "activate my pass." Got here at 7:30am and was told at the front desk that I couldn't activate it until they came in at 8:00. It would be nice if it said something other than "come in during normal business hours" on the pass, which their business hours today are 5am-midnight. A simple "come in 8-5 M-F" would do. Now I'm wasting half an hour I could be exercising, just sitting here. And I'm sure they're going to want to give me a tour, ask about my goals blah blah blah and I just want to work out which is why I set this up online. So I could just come in, work out, see if I like the gym and if so, buy a membership in 7 days. I'll update this after the 7 days but so far not so good. If you're open, you should have people here to "activate passes" and start memberships. After all, that is how you make your money right? read more

I have been coming to Fitness Project Humble since January. They're clean and follow Covid protocols, staff is welcoming and easy to talk to... The regulars that go there are nice and encouraging so it makes you feel more motivated to hit the gym even on the hardest/laziest days. Signed up for this gym close to a year ago mainly because they have a sauna. But within 2 months of the new year they put out a sign that says the sauna is broken for over 4 months I leave for work, and after another 4 months I go back and so happen it just broke now remember they can see when the last time someone came in. I work on boats and are away good portions of the year and every time I go to the gym they say it just broke and they are waiting for a part. to the possible new gym members that might sign up for the new year don't fall for the tricks when you see a working sauna at the beginning of the year. I believe they always keep it off to save money on utilities and just lie to there gym members. Don't know how hard it is to get a new heating unit I have friends with home saunas and yes heating units break but they can get it fixed in less then 2 weeks from making a phone call. Now could it just have broken yes but with the luck of the gym sauna always out of order highly unlikely. Staff is ok and gym equipment ok as well read more

I love to do the Alloy classes with Maria Steadman. She has taught me to feel confident and to keep working out harder each time. Its by far not the greatest of Gold's Gym in this area. There really is only a couple of reasons that I go to this gym. One is that its right down the street from where I live. Second, there are a couple of friends that goes to this gym and it seems that I know a lot of the same people that goes here as well. There are a few staff members that are really awesome. Meme who works at the front desk seems to always great everyone who comes in. Michael seems to always be working and I swear he lives there. I have been going to this gym since it was opened. Prior to that I was going to Golds in Kingwood for the longest. The horror stories that you hear about the equipment being broken all the time is sadly true and that is due to a couple of reasons. First, its overcrowded after 5 pm mostly on Monday thur Wednesday. The best time to come is on the weekends. That could change here shortly since I heard that a 24 hrs is going up somewhere near summercreek high school at the start of 2017. Second, the equipment is a cheap Asian made "Star-Trek" brand. Which gets abuse by people who do not know how to use the machines (see first reason). And when the equipment is down management just tells you that it takes time for the parts to come in. If you really want to save time order more than one part at a time. But that's just me saying it. I have gotten use to the machines being down so I just work around it rather than complaining about it since complaining will get me no where. (just read the other bad reviews) I just take my frustrations working out. There are a few other things that could be worked on. But however I'm not planning on leaving Gold's anytime soon or until they go out of business. This Gold's gym is a franchise rather than a corporate gym which owns about 3 or 4 locations in the Houston area. read more
