I was looking for someone who would work with my 14 year-old brother on the 5x5 program that his school had assigned for the upcoming soccer session. Filipe was fantastic. He modified the program to better fit my brother's soccer needs and was incredibly patient and down-to-earth. My brother worked with him for about 8 weeks (roughly 3x a week)and felt huge difference during tryouts. The facility is brand new and well equipped plus Filipe's pricing is incredibly reasonable. You pay as you go and there is no need to sign up for an annoying gym membership. Here is what my brother has to say about his time with Filipe: Filipe not only helped me to become a stronger person but a more determined one, as his deep knowledge of fitness combined with his welcoming personality and unending patience created an environment of hard work and perseverance. His emphasis on proper form taught me the importance of not only the weight of what I was lifting but the technique I was using to lift that weight. Additionally, Filipe did not judge me but rather encouraged me to keep going when I made mistakes, giving me pointers to do so, all leading me to not only obtaining the strength I needed but the knowledge and work ethic to continue to develop. So in closing, Filipe's knowledge and understanding of fitness not only create a friendly environment to work out in but a mindset centered on hard work and dedication. P.S. - I recommend arriving 5 minutes early for sessions to accommodate yourself before Filipe starts working with you. The instructors are great and I love the variety in class types. Since opening, they've offered everything from level 1 to 1.5 to 2 and a range of types (Flow, Circuit, Center & Balance, Cardio). I've been practicing pilates for about 4 years now and have felt my strongest at Franklin. The owner does a great job of building a community with the occasional themed class (including Taylor Swift!) and lots of fun contests and events. Pic below is me even winning one of those prizes!! I do wish they switched up the schedule more frequently to offer different class levels on different days. Right now it switches around every two months which is only inconvenient if your schedule is a bit tight. Overall, I'd highly recommend whether you're experienced or just trying it out!

When…read moreI saw this I joined the club before they opened using a passport membership that was around $300 month. I began classes in canton so I could be up to speed in time for this club to open. When they finally did open they only offered level one classes. I took one of these level one classes. It was very easy compared to canton level 1 classes. I messaged the owner to ask if they would be offering classes for people that were not new because the schedule only offered level 1 and explained to her that the level 1 class was easier than level 1 at Canton. The owners response was rude. She posted her own screenshots of our messages saying she told me the classes would be the easier level in the beginning but contradicted her own statement. She said most classes would cater to newer members but this lead me to believe there would at least be some for intermediate levels. My issue was if the level 1 isn't really a level 1 why would the 1.5 be a 1.5 level? I was simply asking if there would be medium level classes and she lashed out on me. I wanted to get my moneys worth if I was going to pay $300 a month. To me, it seemed like this club was not truthful about what the classes would be like when they were recruiting memberships prior to opening. Not only that, she made a comment about me canceling classes which I considered rude because I was going through health issues at the time which sometimes prevented me from doing strenuous activities. I asked her repeatedly to stop messaging me. I decided to cancel my passport membership and continue with just canton. It's now been a year later, and I decided to attempt classes here again under a passport membership because the location is closer to where I live. I booked the class and the owner called me telling She remembered me not being happy before. The message implied that I was rude to instructors (which I was not) and didn't follow policy. She also made a comment about about me "going after them in the studio" as if I am some sort of lunatic that would assault people. The message that she sent was totally inappropriate. However, I am glad she sent it because I will never go to this club again. And I cannot believe that anyone owning a business would behaved this way. I also noticed I have been blocked by their Facebook page most likely because the owner doesn't want people to share these kind of experiences publicly which I have ever right to do. I noticed other reviews for this club stating the same I have said; that the levels they offer are lowered down and not challenging and also that instructors discouraged modifications to make the workout harder. I did notice that even over a year later mid level classes need to be approved by an instructor which is not the case in other clubs like canton. This leads me to believe the classes they offer are still not challenging compared the canton club. This location is not worth the money. Even over a year later. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. I do highly recommend the canton club the classes are challenging and worth the money. The instructors are all great. I will continue to drive further to go to that club.

Im super glad I was able to find this place! When I got there, she warmly greeted me and made sure I had everything I needed, even asking me if the music was to my liking (it was!). This is an extremely well-equipped weightlifting gym with 8 full size platforms, Olympic bars, bumper plates, power racks, blocks, and chalk stands. Thinhs were super well organized, even down to the order to the plates. Throw in a few Hookgrip / ATG / USA Weightlifting banners and I was good to go! The first thing Mary had me do were some overhead squats on a vibrating plate to loosen up my muscles. Afterwards, I got on the platform and did a few snatches with just the bar. She mentioned there would be a class soon and, not wanting to miss out on coaching, I gladly agreed to take the class. Mary was super attentive and gave her full attention to watching each lifter perform the complexes she programmed. Each lift was videotaped on an iPad, and between lifts, Mary reviewed the footage with me 1 on 1 to identify issues with my form. I could see exactly what she was talking about, and fixing these problems really helped me extend and catch more confidently. Needless to say, I absolutely love this visual approach to coaching, and her advice was very easy to understand. I only wish that I had more time to spend at this gym. Their drop-in rate is $20, or $30 to drop-in and take a class, which I think is very reasonable given the quality of the coaching and how nice the facility is. I'll definitely be back to visit when I am in the area again!

    CFTC Truly Cares - More Than Just a Workout!…read more I was a member of CFTC when it first opened in 2012. I loved it then but life got in the way and I left for 8 years or so. I was always waiting for the time when i could return. The time finally came and I was scared to come back because i was so out of shape and gained a lot of weight and not feeling very confident. My fears were for nothing, the moment I walked in I felt welcome and comfortable. It didn't matter the level of my fitness because there are all levels of fitness there. The coaches are top-notch, offering modifications and guidance for every fitness level. They push you to reach your potential while prioritizing safety and proper form. But what I appreciate most is the emotional support and camaraderie. During a difficult time in my life (losing my husband), CFTC became my Happy place. Members and staff offered kind words, listening ears, and even hugs when I needed them most. If you're looking for a gym that truly cares about your overall well-being, look no further. This gym is a haven for anyone seeking a supportive environment to grow stronger in body and spirit. Thank you to Scott St Cyr and the entire team for creating a space that feels like home!
