The bottom line here is that FitnessBetter provided excellent service at a reasonable price. I would recommend them wholeheartedly. We contacted FitnessBetter when our elliptical broke. Communication with the company is a little slow, but a tech came out in a reasonable amount of time and quickly diagnosed the problem - a broken part. They helped us find a replacement part (our machine is nearly 9 years old) and then promptly fixed it. We had a small problem after the fix and they came right out and dealt with it. Wow. This has been the smoothest experience I have ever had with a company. After calling around to several places I found FitnessBetter Assemblers to be the best option. I called their number and the voice message said to leave a voicemail and that someone would call me back. They also can be emailed or you can send a direct text message. Which is great because they respond to texts really quickly. I told them what I needed and asked when they had availability. They offered the same day if I wanted! I needed them two days later and we scheduled a date/time for the technician to come. Adam came today and the whole experience has been very pleasant. He was on time and even sent a text letting me know when he was on the way. As soon as I opened the door he greeted me, introduced himself and offered a business card. Very professional. Also, he offered to take his shoes off because he noticed we don't wear them in the house and I know this may seem small, but with babies I'm usually careful about that. I was pleasantly surprised that he offered before I could ask. We have a new elliptical machine that needed to be assembled and he did an amazing job. The service was quick. It was clean. He picked up everything and made sure it was all put away. He even took the time to walk me through using the new machine and offered some tips on how to keep it maintained so it could work for a long time. I am very happy I chose this company. Yesterday Adam assembled, cleaned and serviced an old LifeFitness treadmill and elliptical I had aquired from neighbors that were in multiple pieces (some mice had moved into (and out of) the treadmill, making the job even more unpleasant), and repaired our old LifeFitness exercycle that had developed a clunky noise. On Thursday, Feb 13, I booked an appointment to have my elliptical repaired thru their website. First available time they had was Tuesday, Feb 18 at 1045. I was not given a price quote at this time, but got an email saying that I would get a quote shortly. 30 minutes later, I replied to that email to ask about the price. The response was that they do not have availability for the time that I booked, and that they could come between 2-3p. A quote was given at this time. I replied back and asked if they had any earlier appointments, as I could not do the time they suggested. After a couple hours of no reply, I selected another company and had a Saturday appointment booked quickly. Fitness Better DID reply later that day saying they didn't have an earlier time, and the next time they had was Thu, Feb 20 between 2-3p. Given that I already had an appointment booked, I ignored this email. Today I received an email from them saying that the availability for Thu, Feb 20 was no longer available. :) I replied and told them that I was glad I went with another company and already got it fixed. They thanked me for my consideration.. Haha. Oh, and I paid almost half of what Fitness Better had quoted me. Look elsewhere if you need something fixed. read more

I worked with a technician to repair my Proform treadmill. I paid $200 to FitnessBetter and gave them all of my warranty information. Proform warranty department said that the technician did not perform the proper diagnostics and would not send the new console until I used their technician. I basically paid $200 for nothing. They were absolutely outstanding. I was moving from one area of DC to another and needed to move my Peloton bike. I didn't want to leave this to the movers since it's a high value piece of equipment. After setting my appointment, they called the day before to lay out what the process would be and then again an hour before they arrived to let me know they were on the way. Everything was taken apart and wrapped up for the move and they came by the new apartment the following day to put it back together. Adam and Ryan were awesome. I needed my treadmill moved from one level of my house to another and I needed it done ASAP. I sent an email on Saturday, got a quote and they came and did it on Sunday. They were professional and courteous. While they are a little more expensive than a mover or handyman, it was worth it. I feel completely comfortable that the treadmill was assembled properly, but beyond that, they cleaned the motor and lubricated it. Also told me how to better maintain it to lengthen the life. I called and could not have been more impressed! They were very flexible on scheduling. They were incredibly professional. My treadmill is moved and serviced to a like-new condition! Adam also gave me some great advice on what else on the tread could need service - no he wasn't just up-selling me - he explained how to replace a few parts using the warranty connected with the tread. We needed our elliptical moved from the first floor of our house to the second floor. At first we thought about hiring a regular moving company, but we were afraid that the elliptical wouldn't fit up the staircase and would need to be disassembled and reassembled. I contacted two different fitness equipment assemblers. Fitness Better was much more responsive and professional so we went with them. It was a great choice! They worked around our schedule, came on a Sunday, and gave us a 60 min time frame for arrival, so we didn't have to wait around. Turned out the elliptical did need to be disassembled partially to get it up the stairs and then disassembled even more to get it to fit through the bedroom door. Adam and Ryan were great. They were extremely polite, wore shoe covers to protect our flooring, worked quickly and efficiently, and the price was very reasonable ($240, which was much less than the minimum for a regular moving company). read more
