They'll talk if you wish or if you're not in the mood they will just do their craft. If you're looking you might catch Sergio playing classical piano in the back during his break. I have been going to Five Barbers In Melville on 110 ever since I moved to the neighborhood in 1984. Ownership changed many years ago and the originals from 36 years ago are no longer there. Sergio the owner is excellent at his craft. Never had any issues and always get a great haircut. I also treat myself once in awhile and get a shave. Very clean shop, you won't go wrong if you try this place. Oh and by the way, there is plenty of parking either on the street or the parking lot on site. read more

Better than most barbers around here. I have been going here on and off for several years and have tried several others around Huntington. This is not a place for a fancy haircut, just your basic, quick trim, in-and-out, maybe a shave. It's not expensive or pretentious. It's true the barbers here kind of give the same haircut over and over, no matter what you ask, but it's a decent haircut. The price is okay. read more

I have been going to 5 barbers in Melville since I was a teenager (50 years ago!) the people may have moved on, during those years, but the quality and value of the "cut" is still there. It has become an institution of the hamlet, and I recommend it highly. read more

I wholeheartedly agree that Sergio is the best and I usually go to him. Unfortunately, on this day he was not in and I got Lenny instead. The haircut was uncomfortable to the point where I thought he was either going to cut me with the buzzer or stab me with the scissor. He was also very abrupt and generally unfriendly. His hands also appeared to be shaky, so I'm glad he didn't attempt to shave my neck with the straight razor. This would normally be a highlight of my haircut here but in this case it may have been dangerous. This is a great barbershop most times and I hope they can get better guys in there before it hurts their business. read more

Complete garbage Sergio gave me the worst hair cut the world has ever seen. There is no parking and the entire staff is not efficient

I have been here a couple of times now. On two different occasions, with two different barbers, I have been clear about what I wanted. But they do what they think is best anyway. I asked for a quarter of an inch off, and they took off two inches, explaining "You have too much hair." Two bad haircuts, and now I'll look for a better place to get clipped. read more

Just got the best hair cut in years I went in and saw the new guy, Pete, he's a Master Barber that studied at the Hair Academy in NYC, I read a review that the place needed some young blood and now they do..
