I brought my niece and nephew here and they were enjoying it as much as I was. The service is top notch. A helpful smile and guidance for any of my candy questions. It's fun and bright inside. The perfect setting for a sweet experience. Economy Candy is essential in keeping the child in your heart alive and I am grateful for their business.

They also carry a lot of different candies and snacks that you probably can't find anywhere else. They had German Haribo, and I bought the yogurt flavor -- it was really good! We ended up purchasing a bunch of random new things we've never seen before, like Yoohoo chocolate and Sriracha chocolate. I actually liked the Yoohoo one a lot, probably one of my favorites. The Sriracha chocolate does have a spicy kick, but just a little. I'd suggest getting a less dark chocolate version if you can't really handle the bitterness of 70% dark chocolate. It is pretty pricey here, but honestly I understand why since they carry a lot of imported and unique stuff. Also, their tote bag is super cheap -- I think just a few cents more and you can get one. Definitely worth buying since you also get a cute souvenir for your trip.

With windows full of their famed candied apples and many other sweets, you'll be instantly drawn in. The shop is small and can fill up fast, but the staff tries to keep things moving along. It was overwhelming to deside what to get between the chocolates, popcorn, ice cream, soft serve, and candy. On a hot day I decided to get the soft serve. They have chocolate, vanilla, banana, and pistachio flavors, but employees mentioned the banana flavor was most popular. They suggested a double swirl so I could also try the pistachio soft serve. You may also add toppings for an extra 50 cents or do a chocolate or cherry dip for an extra $1. If you pay cash, it's a little cheaper ($5.50 per cone). With credit card there is a service charge of 3.5% on all purchases. Overall, cash is best if you want to avoid extra fees. Stop by this historic spot. Worth a visit when exploring Coney Island!

It's more than an amazing store with an incredible selection of candy, It's charming, friendly and has a magical quality. Eugene is so friendly, ready to help with a smile and made me feel welcome. It was so hard to choose, I wanted everything. Eugene's has his very own candy creations (now my mouth is watering). "Freaks" are Eugene's version of Nerd's but so much better! He makes them in several flavors, and they are amazing! Who knew I would like chocolate covered cornflakes? I am a chocolate lover but I would never have thought of this combo. They are melt in your mouth while, being crispy at the same time. There is a large selection of gummies in so many varieties and flavors. I felt like I went back in time with many childhood candies that I haven't seen in years. I didn't know that candy waxed lips, fangs and mustaches still existed. I totally had to buy my dad Mary Jane's, such a classic candy. I most definitely will be back. Thank you Eugene!

They're bigger and crunchier than the original Nerds, honestly better in every way. After my first trip, I was back within the week for more. For chocolate lovers, there are a plethora of chocolate covered candies and cereals. My go to are the matcha white chocolate covered Frosted Flakes.

She charged two dollars for each regular sized strawberry and three dollars for each large strawberrry (these are VERY large -- the type Shaquile O'Neil eats). This price is very reasonable compared to other candy shops. The lady in the store wrapped them up very nicely, and told me how to store them so they'd be nice for the wife. On my second visit to the store, my sister and I went shopping for Purim food baskets, or "mishloach manos." Again, the ladys eho worked there were very cordial. We end up buying three baskets, one dried fruit ($26) and two food baskets ($18.99). See my pictures for how they looked. The baskets were nicely wrapped and I couldn't of been happier. In and out quickly. Parking situation is terrible, especially right before holidays (and on Friday). Look for parking on McDonald Avenue if you're desperate.

I was there at the store back in spring and I asked about one of the candy boxes because I never learned hebrew and had no idea from the picture because it looked like actual gemstones. This old hag behind the counter either ignored me or gave me a snippy attitude. When I asked her what it was she went "I dont know. I dont try every candy here." Well you should at least know what you sell, you shmuck. I had to argue with her just to get her to ring me up because she was "busy" hiding herself behind a rack of candy and she had to stop the world to ring me up. There were no other customers really in there. I walked by there yesterday and saw people in there but I didn't even bother. She can kiss my kosher ass. I only wish I did learn hebrew or yiddish as a kid so I coulda chewed her out for being a horrible employee. If you do decide to go into Boropark...dont drive here unless you want to park a week in advance. Either take the B16, the B67, the F to church ave or the D to 50th/55th..which is probably the closest.
