My family loves Swedish candy. When I found out there was a few stores in New York, I had to make sure we checked it out. Getting to the stores location was actually pretty easy. We took the subway Inn and it was maybe a 5 to 10 minute walk from the station we got out at. It was not crowded at all especially for a Saturday morning around 11 AM. They actually had a delivery being dropped off at the same time we were and did not experience any issues. The staff are so kind and they even offered samples which I thought was fantastic. The pricing is per pound and they have some cute bags and boxes to utilize if you want. Overall, the experience at this store was great. It's a small store and it looks like they stagger customers if it becomes too busy, which is great because no one wants to be surrounded while trying to make a candy decision because I think it's a very important decision. Lol I'm pretty sure we will return if we happen to be in the area again, but this store was really cute and clean.

The store is adorable! I love how it is decorated for Christmas! The staff is always very friendly as well! It was a cold day around 35 degrees and this made all the candy hard. I was saving mine for my flight home so in 3 days it was fine to eat. But it was hard to scoop because of how hard it was! They were also out of all bubs. This location is ok, not the best selection, but still a good amount!

Great selection of candy! We had fun browsing and choosing. We ended up filling our bag with a variety of gummies - sweet and sour - along with licorice. Clean, bright store, although I didn't love the strong smell of cleaner when we walked in the store. But at least we knew the store was clean. :) Easy to get to, no wait, no crowds on a Thursday morning. Now that we know about BonBon, we will likely visit online and buy more!

LOVED this candy!!! This was a smaller location but less of a wait. Super easy to choose your own and fill your bag! This was my trip treat that made it home on the plane ride with me LOL!

Just want to try to compare to Sockerbit. Limited selection. The store is clean. Price is about the same

Walked all the way here from SoHo with my daughter & her friend for some Swedish candy- I blame TikTok. While the store is definitely cute and does have a variety of candies & chocolates, it's just not worth the hype and price. The service isn't very friendly nor welcoming. There's nothing special about these candies if you ask me- their okay & not overly sweet. It's worth getting once & that's about it.

This is something I had in my NYC itinerary - I've seen so many videos on Swedish Candy. I decided to go this location as it was walking distance from Katz. We waited about 25+ minutes although it felt like forever since we were standing outside 20F . There's so many choices of candies from taste to textures. I mostly came for Bubs but they only have the Banana & Carmel one - I liked the texture and that it didn't stick to my teeth. We picked up a few sour candies and those were good but Bubs might've been my favorite. The staff were kind and able to help me out on finding specific candies. It was about $8 which was kinda expensive for the amount but, it's good to try something new. I took them back to LA and they were still good for a week.

The BonBon candy stores are currently for in-person experience in New York City or online shopping national wide, with same cost $4.5 each 4oz or $18 per pound. I like the variety and creativity of their candies, although it's a bit pricy.

If you're still on the Swedish Candy sugar rush, BonBon is the place to be! I've noticed that local Swedish candy spots in SoCal didn't exactly have the same variety as BonBon, so this was a must-visit during my recent trip to NYC. I was on a personal mission to find Rasberry Puckers. They're super-sour raspberry flavored soda pops and are now my absolute favorite candy. They're ACTUALLY sour, tarty, and have a super nice chew to them. Literally the most perfect sour gummy in the universe. If you're more of a sweet person, I absolutely love the Marshmallow Mushrooms! This mushroom-shaped marshmallow is half strawberry and half vanilla flavored. It also has a lot more structure and chewiness compared to your average marshmallow. Another must-try! If you can't shop in-person, BonBon ships! You best believe I will be ordering an unhealthy amount of Rasberry Puckers haha.

I haven't been to a ton of candy stores, but I thought this one was pretty nice. They had a decent selection of candies, and they let you sample them if you ask the people at the register. I got a good variety, including the watermelon gummies and strawberry roll up strip. I ate them a few days later, and they tasted really good, not stale at all. My favorite may have been the strawberry marshmallows, which had a nice chew to them. I would come back here again!

There's a line outside- they have a small number person limit in the store at a time. It's fun, bright, and clean inside. Both walls are lined with candies- one side it's a variety of gummy candy and the other is a variety of chocolate. They also have pre packaged candies as well. When you walk in you grab a bag and scooper to scoop the candy you would like. It is $4.50 per quarter pound. I chose mostly sour gummy candies for myself & I would definitely come back again. If you have a sweet tooth you should check out this shop.

We are fans of swedish candies- we had them delivered in boxes of mix candies, and we wanted to see it they had different candies so we stopped by today, the store is near chinatown, sunday street parking is free fyi, but we left shortly after because this location does not have that much different items. We loved the circular ones the most. Fruit shaped ones are good too. Chocolate balls are pretty gross, i don't know why. Grapefruit one was so good. Marshmallow and chocolate covered marshmallows are debatable.

Grabbed some sour gummies here to have during a broadway show later in the evening. A good variety of sour, sweet, and chocolate candies. It's a little over $4/quarter pound. You scoop yourself. My favorite with the sour passionate fruit gummies and bubble gum flavored gummies. Friendly staff and multiple hand sanitizer stations.

I particularly love the licorice tubes filled with caramel, and am eating my way through their vegan selections!

This was a very brief visit, after dinner out,…read moreand based on the very nice service this evening, I want to return very soon, so that I can really enjoy looking around the store. There is a lot to see, and I did not have the time due to my own schedule. The man who helped us was so very nice and kind. I believe he said he is usually at their Brooklyn shop, but he was helping out in this west side of Manhattan shop. He explained about the MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION colorful, rainbow, STAR-SHAPED LOLLIPOPS near the cashier pay area. Please SEE MY PHOTOS. IT'S SUGAR has raised more than $1 MILLION DOLLARS for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, thanks to the people who bought the special lollipops; AND their goal is to raise $2 Million dollars for The Make-a-Wish Foundation. So, if you are near the store, please stop in. Buy a MAKE-A-WISH lollipop. Look around. Enjoy the candy sights you see, and make a purchase. They have Totsie Roll Pops, too!! And so much more, I have to visit again...soon! :) FOR VISITORS TO NYC--you will be near this store if you are in the Columbus Circle area, and the Lincoln Center area. And, it's a nice walk from the theatre district and the Fifth Avenue area, too. NYC is a great WALKING CITY, so, if you are heading out for the day, wear comfortable walking/running shoes, so that you can walk over and visit this shop. And, Thank You to the man from Brooklyn working at the store. Your great customer service made the visit a pleasure!

It's a heat wave and my daughter is at her college orientation. While we wait for her we've been finding creative ways to stay cool. Before heading into the shops at Columbus we headed into its sugar because we're with my 10m old and he likes looking at the lights and bright colors. I picked up a mug called "wake and bake" and asked my husband does it work and how. I then put it down. When exiting an employee in a purple shirt was kind of blocking the door. I thought that was odd but people are weird. She even almost bumped into someone trying to walk in. She then accuses me of stealing the mug. I was confused and said I put it down and continued on my way, but I'm annoyed that a company that I frequented often with my older kids would accuse me of stealing. If you were watching so closely you should have done a better job and watched me place it back down. How outrageously inappropriate it was to try and smile and play with my 10 month old while you were moments away from accusing his mother. As much as my older kids like It's Sugar I'm going to be thinking twice before purchasing anything there ever again. Maybe it's for the best and I should be supporting local businesses. I'm honestly stuck on the fact that they thought a mother pushing her infant child was attempting to steal something so wildly inappropriate.

But instead, there I was--standing in front of their glorious gelato counter, eyes wide, heart full, and indecisive as ever. Let's start with the moment: my first bite of their olive oil gelato. I don't say this lightly--it was transcendental. Like, "is this what Botticelli tasted when painting Venus?" kind of moment. That velvety olive oil richness hits you up front with confidence and elegance, like a well-dressed Italian man offering you espresso and secrets. Sure, the intensity mellows out as you keep eating, but it never disappears--it just evolves. A plot twist in every spoonful. Now, let's talk about the cone. This wasn't your average sad, soggy cone. Oh no. This one had chocolate bits woven into it like a love letter to cacao itself. It was the best "cone upgrade" I've ever had. Crunchy, chocolatey, luxurious--it deserves its own certificate of excellence, frankly. And the staff? Patient, kind, and blessed with the empathy required to deal with someone (me) who treats flavor selection like high-stakes diplomacy. I felt seen. And then--oh, the pièce de résistance--a little chocolate coin placed lovingly atop my scoop like a crown. It made me feel like gelato royalty. A duchess of dessert, if you will. They also have this gorgeous outdoor patio space, which I longed to sit in like a wistful character in an indie romance. Alas, I couldn't stay, but next time? I'll claim that spot with the same passion I bring to gelato tasting. In conclusion: Venchi is elegance dipped in chocolate, sprinkled with patience, and served with a golden coin. I'll be back--possibly wearing a cape.
