Five Below takes the Dollar Store concept and turned it into a $5 or less store. 99% of the store is five bucks or less. I like their candy section the best. They have those Haribo gummy bears for a $1.00. There are two kinds of Haribo Gummy Bears. The ones made in Germany and the ones Made in Turkey. Wal-mart, CVS and other retailers sell the ones made in Turkey. Five Below and World Cost Market are the only two mass retailers that I've found that sells the Made in Germany Haribo. (The main difference in that the ones made in Germany taste better and don't have a slim to the feel.) Best of all they're $1.00. I think World Cost Market sells it for $1.79 (I'm not sure. I've forgotten) This location is near McGinnis Ferry Road and Medlock Bridge Road. It's in the same shopping strip as the Walgreens, Ihop and TJ Max. There is a Starbucks right around the corner. This is a super fun store. Almost everything in the store is $5.00 or less. They sell everything from imitation crocs, nail polish, cell phone cases to tikki torches and ladies gym shorts. In the midwest we call stores like this a store full of "chotchkies." Filled will one time use or items that you really don't need but it's cheap and you can't resist because it's new and shiny! They do have some great party favor type items and plenty of candies to choose from. I was told by the cashier that they receive new inventory twice a week so you'll definitely be exposed to new items with each visit. I've picked up plenty of items from this store already. Ear buds for my man's iPhone 4, a USB cell phone charger and more. It's a fun place to check out once in awhile for your random shopping needs and I have no doubt you won't leave the store empty handed. read more

I am in love with this place. Like my review of the other location in Buford, this place has pretty much the same cool knick knacks, gadgets, trinkets, room essentials, beach gear, etc. Like the other location, most items here are $5 or less. My boyfriend suggested this place for corny gifts. We had a Super Bowl party, and I wanted some fun gifts for commercial bingo but I didn't want to spend a ridiculous amount. This place was perfect because everything was $5 or less. It's not your high quality items, but I got a football, backpack, NFL poster, and nice looking water bottle for cheap. I was really skeptical that anyone would even want to win these items, and ran by Publix to get other stuff like big packages of gum and mints, but clearly he knows what he's talking about, because his stuff went first, and mine was the last to go. LOL So if you come here, you will find random things like phone cords, phone cases, candy, nail polish...it kind of reminds you of the Dollar tree, only add four more dollars to the price. Haha. Don't expect high quality merchandise. I expect that backpack to last all of a month, but hey, it's great for random mindless needless shopping, and it's cheap. They do carry sour gummy worms, and the good kind, so I might be back for that. I wish I had taken pictures, but unfortunately was in kind of a hurry to get home and set up but picture any of those dollar stores, and that's what comes to mind. This is just a fun store to browse. Every once in a while I will find something of interest. No problem. I think of this as a great store for kids who get an allowance and have no where to spend it. All items are truly affordable and they have a great candy selection, (nostalgic and current). The store is always clean and organized and the staff is very friendly.
