There is a few of the fountain pens that you can try to see how they write. The sticker and washi tape section was kind of disappointing though. The hubs and I enjoy coming here when we're bored on a Saturday and want to hunt for deals. We've actually found some pretty good items that are not damaged, functional, and not expired. Last week's haul we came home with several items. So the deal is primarily at the tables/bins. Elsewhere the price is as marked or whatever their "sale" is for that category. The prices vary each day for the tables/bins. The best day to stop by would be Friday (I think) after they've had a chance to stock up. Plus, the price would be the most at $8 since you're getting the fresh picks. So whatever you dig up, regardless of the size or type of product, you pay $ amount for whatever that day's price is. For instance, you pay $6 for whatever you can find at the tables/bins for Sat. See my photo for the prices for each day. I say make sure you inspect the item you're buying carefully for any damage. Do take a look at expiration dates. And do a quick check online or on Amazon to see if you're getting a good deal. Pretty much if you like bargain hunting, you might be lucky and score some good stuff once in awhile.

I am deeply disappointed with a package of scallops I purchased at Mega Mart. I bought them a few…read moremonths ago and kept them in my freezer until cooking them yesterday. After thawing them in the refrigerator for a day, I immediately noticed several red flags: Appearance: They were perfectly round and completely flat like coins. They were also missing the small white side muscle (abductor muscle) that natural scallops always have. Texture & Aroma: The texture was much tougher than usual, and the smell was noticeably different from fresh/frozen scallops. Despite my doubts, I rinsed and stir-fried them with prawns. Once cooked and tasted, it was undeniably not scallop. It was processed fish cake (surimi) made from mixed fish with scallop flavoring--essentially imitation scallop, similar to imitation crab meat. Despite being an imitation product, the package was labeled as real scallop (가리비 관자) at $14.99 per pound (totaling 1.16 lbs for $17.39). Mega Mart sold an entirely different, lower-value imitation product under the label and price of genuine scallop. I sincerely hope this was an isolated mislabeling mistake by the seafood department rather than a systemic issue. Accurate food labeling is critical, and customers deserve to get what they pay for.

The page said that orders would be processed and shipped with 48 hours. Can you guess when mine shipped? Never. I emailed several times to their email address and everything bounced, I eventually found an alternate email address using AI, and they responded, but the response did not make much sense and was very unprofessional. Before emailing I had called several times and it said that the number was invalid. I then found another alternate phone number and called that. Someone picked up and the only thing I could truly hear was music blasting in the background and everything she said sounded like babbling.
